I don’t know why i like the atmosphere so much in this track. I have played diablo 3, but i there is something in diablo 2 that makes it unique, can’t explain it.

Fuck Duriel... he's espcally bad as a Necromancer since he wipes out your minions in a heartbeat... well in Normal he did anyways. Recently though i fought him in Nightmare and i had one of Greiz Mercs with Holy Freeze, trapped him with Bone Prison, spammed Decryptify, my Iron Golem kept tanking and he didn't give me too much trouble. That's the only time i'v managed to beat him without getting slapped around all the time and dying.
This is minimalist, ambient atmospherical music at its best. Uelmen might make a fool out of himself on twitter and what not, but that doesn't take away that this is album is a masterpiece and D2 would not have been even close to the same thing without his crucial contribution. I wish they would bring him back for D4.

I want to hear your criteria for this claim, I want you to compare and contrast this track with all the other d2 music, and I want you to acknowledge and frame at least one counter perspective.

This is why wasnt much of a fan of Lord of Destruction's orchestral music. They are not badly made. but didnt gave that atmospheric effect.
It's dark fantasy. It's 18+ and mature. Horrifying.
D3 is cheap garbage aimed at children and the mass crowd.

Duriel, the Lord of Pain, is the hell of the villain that I ever encountered with. Still gives me a nightmare to these day

The first time I fought Nightmare Duriel, he charged across the room the moment I entered and punched my Barbarian hireling, instantly shattering him.
