The guy's Australianisms are a very welcome addition to the commentary.

Why did he not use the enery counters to give Hydra Hexproof against that settle the wreckage`?

A bit late, but Settle the Wreckage targets the player and not the creature. It then exiles all attacking creatures without targeting them

At 12:07 Matignon flips over the top 6 cards and reveals the face of the 6th card while flipping over the approach. Disqualification worthy if you ask me

Good observation! I'm surprised the judge who instructed him to make sure the Approach was face-down didn't spot that.

Riley complaining about the white border lands but not even noticing that Matignon is playing different versions of Opt? I mean, at least mention it right?

You mean mention it like he does at 6:34?

      I stand corrected.

12:06 - totally checked out the card before Approach on that weird flip he did. Classic douchebag cheat move from a control player and disappointing to see.

You mean when Paul is telling him : "just do it like this" ?

Yes. Yes I do. who the hell else makes a weird play like that??? That's kitchen table shit.

Regardless of if it was intended or not even a low level player would assume you can't have flipped cards in the deck like that, which would prompt a flipping of the cards, but surely you would just draw that single card out rather than give yourself a potential "scry 6". If the movement had been sloppier or more cards were revealed the judge would have stepped in (we would all assume that). This is top level MTG though from a player who's been playing a long time, yet I've encountered stuff like this at the LGS from players known for being less scrupulous. If someone ousted your creature, would you place it face up a couple of cards down? Way too much room for dodgyness if there's a prize in it and in this case there's a rather large prize incentive.

Oligoden you're probably right, but then that kind of play still doesn't seem like a "normal" reaction. Have played against approach plenty and not once either in real life or on other footage have I seen someone do it. Sure, we all fuck up when we play (especially when under pressure) but this is also marking the deck physically - often you can tell an upside-down card is in the deck by looking at the side of it. You wouldn't do it with an Eldrazi titan, so why an Approach?
