This movie was amazing. I have been in love with monster movies since I was a kid in the 80s watching Harryhausen stop motion animation and Japanese men in suits, dreaming for the day that special effects would give these characters much more life. Seeing Godzilla and Kong in such amazing form makes me feel like a kid again. I can't wait to see the new Kong vs Godzilla, it's going to be great. 3 more years....

Godzilla was better than Kong by far, Godzilla would and should destroy Kong, however who would be the "hero" because Godzilla technically saved the world by killing the M.U.T.O's, Kong.. Hmmm
He handled the first two because they were small, also no the giant skull crawler threw him around, kong was about to get killed, he also got knocked out by fire, can get injured by helicopter blades, bullets can some what hurt him, small detonated bombs would've been enough to kill kong. The reason skull crawler got manhandled, was because he got distracted , which made time for kong to use the chain as a weapon against the skull crawler damaging it. His durability is a fucking joke and his offense is mediocre. Once kong is grown he can be immune to some bombs, but I doubt he could survive nuclear bombs, or bombs that would be enough to kill him. Also giant skull crawlers nearly had put the kong species as a whole to extinction.
I'm really curious if they are going to keep Ghidorah origins the same or make him earth bound considering how they are setting up the kaiju lore through the hollow earth theory. And I really want to know who is going to be the villain for king kong vs godzilla since both monsters were portrayed as good guys in their own movies. i want to say it's going to be Ghidorah, but he is being set up for the next Godzilla movie. That'd piss off the fan base for both monsters and would also limit to how many sequels they can make. S'gonna be neat though.
Kong may have the speed over Godzilla, but unless they up his size massively, there is no way he could take the King of the Monsters. They will probably go the route of Batman v Superman, and have them fight for a bit, then team up to take on a common, much stronger foe. Rodan is the pterodactyl you are referring to, I wouldn't say Rodan is a king but more of a knight or bishop of the monster world. Mothra is female so technically she would be a queen and the three headed dragon is King Ghidorah who is a space dragon who is also known as the King of Terror.
Ggss Ft gdgdg also wouldn't the only other kings be Godzilla(king of the monsters) and King Ghidorah? Mothra usually is female, and Rodan has never been a king.
I liked both treatments, the constant Godzilla tease had me all hyped up and Kongs appearance right of the start was some great fan service. Besides, Godzilla was intended to sequel from the start, so its reasonable that they want to stretch the full display a lil bit further.
Nothing in Kong's history, save the very old King Kong vs Godzilla where they had to do some REALLY goofy tweaking to Kong to make him a formidable opponent, would suggest that Kong could beat Godzilla. If Godzilla doesn't outright win or at least reach a draw, it's because American movie makers would pander to Americans seeing as Kong was American made and Godzilla was Japanese made. So yes, my vote goes to Godzilla and I'm very excited for the MonsterVerse to shape up.

I just saw the movie today....it was totally kick ass, however i waited and waited after the end of the movie to see the credits and so did most people in the Theather,to see if there was any truth about the "Godzilla teaser ending" NOTHING whatsoever. I waited almost 40 seconds after the credits started appearing and i said the hell with it...and i left. But yes the movie is fricking great,the first time Kong appears in the film was so exciting you could feel the suspense and hear some cheers from the people in the Theather,they made Kong in this movie the way it should be which is big and ferocious....this movie is highly recommended. (Spoiler alert) Kong eats the giant squid.

Hmmm...Tough one but I'll put my money on Kong to win against Godzilla. Kong is a bit faster and has more mobility. I think Godzilla does have a bit more endurance though. And to answer the question about which movie I like more, I would answer Kong: Skull Island. I really don't like delays and teasers when we already know that Godzilla is the damn title of the movie. In the original 1962 KK v GZ, the battle was a close call between the two contenders. In the end, it ended up being a tie between the two monsters, so It'll be interesting to see if the film makers would go this same route or pull a BvS and have them fight each other first then team up to kill a bigger monster.

Frankie Bedek in Godzilla the buildup was too much, making it organismic to see Godzilla, only to take him away within 5 seconds. Kong was the opposite: no buildup but still awesome. If the next movies are anywhere in between the two predecessors, the monsterverse will be onto something

I enjoyed Kong more than Godzilla in the 2014 version (Shin Godzilla is another story) and appreciated that they showed him right away and didn't make us wait. That said, he will have to have some tricks up his sleeve when fighting Godzilla, who just on size alone has him beat, not to mention atomic breath etc.
You forgot my favorite part :) When Samuel L. Jackson says hold on to your butts, This was a reference to Jurassic Park and was played by the same actor, Right when something is about to happen! Please make a second video :) I know a lot of Easter eggs :P
Kong may be smaller than Gojira, but he is agile enough to avoid the radioactive fire breath and he has demonstrated active tactical thinking during combat and uses weapons and tools when available. Also Kong is more likely to be supported by humans since he is relatively peaceful compared to Gojira's roaming swaths of destruction.
When Godzilla vs. Kong takes place I hope it will end in a draw. That way both can have their separate adventures in the monsterverse. Also, I wonder what other Toho monsters will be introduced. Hopefully we will see the Gargantuas (Sanda and Gaira), Angurus and the other Toho menagerie members.

The JSDF decides not to pursue Kong but, rather, let him return home.
Kong will most likely be the same size as Godzilla by the time the 2020 movie comes.
Will they fight? Sure as hell will.
Will either of them actually beat/kill the other? Nah. That'd piss off the fan base for both monsters and would also limit to how many sequels they can make.

Just saw KONG, & i'm glad it wasn't a remake. Pretty entertaining and the fight scenes were outstanding.... don't forget to stay til the end!
Kong may have the speed over Godzilla, but unless they up his size massively, there is no way he could take the King of the Monsters. They will probably go the route of Batman v Superman, and have them fight for a bit, then team up to take on a common, much stronger foe. My guess is that Godzilla 2 will tease King Ghidorah, but save him for the big villian of GvKK.

Rodan is the pterodactyl you are referring to, I wouldn't say Rodan is a king but more of a knight or bishop of the monster world. Mothra is female so technically she would be a queen and the three headed dragon is King Ghidorah who is a space dragon who is also known as the King of Terror.

I liked both treatments, the constant Godzilla tease had me all hyped up and Kongs appearance right of the start was some great fan service. Besides, Godzilla was intended to sequel from the start, so its reasonable that they want to stretch the full display a lil bit further.
Nothing in Kong's history, save the very old King Kong vs Godzilla where they had to do some REALLY goofy tweaking to Kong to make him a formidable opponent, would suggest that Kong could beat Godzilla. If Godzilla doesn't outright win or at least reach a draw, it's because American movie makers would pander to Americans seeing as Kong was American made and Godzilla was Japanese made. So yes, my vote goes to Godzilla and I'm very excited for the MonsterVerse to shape up.

he got knocked out due to lack of oxygen, it wasnt actually the napalm doing a lot of damage to him.
Lee Bruce He took a lot of damage from the soldiers and monsters then he got blown up so he was pretty weak while fighting the last guy hope they show more Godzilla not like the last movie.

I just saw the movie today....it was totally kick ass, however i waited and waited after the end of the movie to see the credits and so did most people in the Theather,to see if there was any truth about the "Godzilla teaser ending" NOTHING whatsoever. I waited almost 40 seconds after the credits started appearing and i said the hell with it...and i left. But yes the movie is fricking great,the first time Kong appears in the film was so exciting you could feel the suspense and hear some cheers from the people in the Theather,they made Kong in this movie the way it should be which is big and ferocious....this movie is highly recommended. (Spoiler alert) Kong eats the giant squid.

Hmmm...Tough one but I'll put my money on Kong to win against Godzilla. Kong is a bit faster and has more mobility. I think Godzilla does have a bit more endurance though.
And to answer the question about which movie I like more, I would answer Kong: Skull Island. I really don't like delays and teasers when we already know that Godzilla is the damn title of the movie. SHOW HIM ALREADY.

In the original 1962 KK v GZ, the battle was a close call between the two contenders. In the end, it ended up being a tie between the two monsters, so It'll be interesting to see if the film makers would go this same route or pull a BvS and have them fight each other first then team up to kill a bigger monster.

I prefered the presentation in the 2014 Godzilla. It had build up. Kong was a bit more just suddenly there. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't as cool.

Frankie Bedek in Godzilla the buildup was too much, making it organismic to see Godzilla, only to take him away within 5 seconds. Kong was the opposite: no buildup but still awesome.

I enjoyed Kong more than Godzilla in the 2014 version (Shin Godzilla is another story) and appreciated that they showed him right away and didn't make us wait. That said, he will have to have some tricks up his sleeve when fighting Godzilla, who just on size alone has him beat, not to mention atomic breath etc.

Kong may be smaller than Gojira, but he is agile enough to avoid the radioactive fire breath and he has demonstrated active tactical thinking during combat and uses weapons and tools when available. Also Kong is more likely to be supported by humans since he is relatively peaceful compared to Gojira's roaming swaths of destruction.
When Godzilla vs. Kong takes place I hope it will end in a draw. That way both can have their separate adventures in the monsterverse. Also, I wonder what other Toho monsters will be introduced. Hopefully we will see the Gargantuas (Sanda and Gaira), Angurus and the other Toho menagerie members.
