Destination: Lake James State Park, NC
Head’em up, move’em out; we’re on the go again. This trip is to one of the more scenic state parks in NC, nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. Some of the highlights include the Whippoorwill Farm, aka Fonta Flora Brewery, Shortoff Mountain and lots of views of Lake James along multiple hiking trails, in the fall of 2021. Sad to see new homes being built on quite a bit of the shoreline but it's still a beautiful lake for a bit longer.
