+Eternity With Christ Your attention span isn't very long, is it? Pay attention before you comment! He "told the truth" in his Princeton essay which he gave to his Grandma to read. Nobody forced him to do that. Grandma then got up on her Christian high horse and tried to make it as painful and humiliating as possible by forcing him to tell his family members face to face and one at a time. You know, I've met some truly excellent people who happen to be devout Christians but they just live the example without bringing it up every 5 mins. The so-called Christians who go around with the "In case of rapture this car will be driverless" bumper stickers and the Jesus fish, and yammer on about "knowing the Lord" I wouldn't want to have lunch with, never mind spending eternity with! Heaven for the climate, hell for the company.

As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are around you. You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property. You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession forever. You may make slaves of them, but over your brothers the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another ruthlessly.
      (Leviticus 25:44-46)
You who are slaves must submit to your masters with all respect. Do what they tell you-not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are cruel. For God is pleased when, conscious of his will, you patiently endure unjust treatment. Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you.(1Peter 2:18-20)
I’m sorry to say that your cherry picked quote that doesn’t even mention slavery is less than convincing. God has expressed several times from his own words, from his sons word, or the word of his own book that he is absolutely for slavery and thinks it is just. He also disgustingly tells you and his followers to live a life of pain and do good. Doing good is pretty benevolent but the that he also wants you to live in pain is obviously malicious.

And by the way, the brother and sister thing is called incest, And that was discouraged in most eras and still is! As well as there being multiple bad side effects due to birth from incest, While being gay doesn't cause much of anything other than happiness between the many couple that are gay. And unless you can give me a good and scientific reason why it is bad to be gay, you need to stop talking, because nobody needs to hear your lies and illegitame excuses for why you think it's wrong. I can assure you as a counselor with a Master's degree in the Humanities and with 30 years of clinical practice, there is no reason to have a negative feeling about sexual orientation of any individual. The dark ages of ignorance are over and we can be free in the truth. Don't continue to hold on to the mistakes of the past that may have been passed on to you by family, religion, or uneducated society. My sister went through the same thing in high school. My Mom made her come forward in front of me, my brother and Dad. My brother expressed embarrassment, disgust and shame. My Dad stayed quiet. I paused when it was my turn and said, “Ok, she’s still my sister. “. As the black sheep in our family, my mother was livid over my nonchalant attitude and acceptance.

Hi! I'm 13 and not sharing my name. I came out to my parents. They.. they kicked me out, but, I'm still glad I did it. At least I don't have to live being someone I'm not. My mom said: "What did I do to deserve this torture! Im going to hell, you're going to hell, you're whole family is because we raised you to be this way!" I had the closest relationship with my mom and dad before I came out. My mom sent me to conversion therapy, and after that didn't make me change my mind, that's when they decided: "Oh! If you're not going to cooperate, we'll just kick your ass out!" So, I'm living with my close friend and, I'm happy for the most part! Thanks for reading.

Black people are disproportionally living in poverty because their ancestors were slaves less than 200 years ago. That’s their great-grandparents. The American government did not offer reparations for their war crime against African-Americans, so of course many are still living in poverty. Also, the word ‘blacks’ is offensive, it’s black people, and, if you are LGBT+ or an ally, you should recognise that being a minority is a struggle, and people are happy to say terrible things about you purely because of who you are, not what you have done. God condemns Lust, rape, sex slavery, addictions to sex, and disloyalty, not homosexuality. That word was even added into the Bible until MUCH MUCH later! Let’s not forget things such as cultural conventions, the Old Testament law, before Jesus fulfilled it and MANY MANY more factors which come into play. Please, take a second look at some of these verses, objectively and with an open mind. When I came out to my extremely religious mom and Dad they both weirdly didn't care. To them I was their daughter and as long as I was happy, safe and with someone who treated me with respect they didn't care. God loves all his children. Like a parent he may not agree with our life but he certainly does not hate u. You are loved❤

What your grandma did was abuse. When my then 11 year old told me she was gay I didn’t make her tell anyone else because she’s the one that should be able to tell people when she’s ready. That’s awful what your grandma did.

My oldest aunt who is in her 80's always told me never to let anyone disrespect me not even my elders. She said cuss their ass out, put them in their place, ask God's forgiveness and move on. This was reprehensible. Grandma would have gotten a mouth full from me.

Screw her she’s an unhappy human being.. that toxic environment isn’t needed. It’s ironic how she wants to say he’s going to hell for it but yet want to judge and want to cause pain that doesn’t need to be caused. How can you truly call yourself a supposed Christian believer but yet want to cause this pain.

my grandma showed up at my job after i came out to tell me that she loved me and it didn’t change anything for her, but then she launched straight into a tirade about how my aunt had turned my cousin into a lesbian by allowing her to sleep in bed with her and another woman which....seemed rather contradictory, especially considering my cousin is very straight lol. i appreciated her intentions though

Maybe im wrong but i think the part when the bible said "no man shall lay with a man" or something was actually a wrong translation and actually meant "no man shall lay with a boy" which spoke against pedophilia and not homosexuality? Im not sure tho

    ACTUALLY:
Leviticus was used as a group of sort of laws for the Jewish people, and It included laws that banned common pagan rituals, Homosexual intercourse was one of them. Many of these rules are broken by Jews and christians alike today, for example, one of these laws was to cut the sides of your hair, as it was a common pagan worship ritual back in the day. So as long as you aren't Gay as a pagan ritual, the Bible's aight with it, fam.
