I love brooches. In my 30s, I wore them nearly every day. I am sure they are packed away in my garage somewhere. Maybe finding them will motivate me to clean out my garage. 😂
When maximalism is done correctly, it looks fantastic. It's so easy to mess up, especially when you try to mix patterns and textures! I'd love to see you make a video on how to do it right.
I’ve come to realize that my style falls into two very different categories. In the fall and winter I dress in a classic but modern, simple way. When spring and the warm weather hit I go all girly and bohemian. Nothing makes my heart sing more than a feminine floaty dress when the weather is warm. I would love to see how you would style maximalism. I agree with you 100% about each of us embracing our personal style. Our differences are make the world an interesting place.
I decided to use indyx application and digital my closet. It quickly became apparent that during winter I dress in a classic style( because I really don’t like cold)and summer I dress more boho/romantic. I have always worn what I like. I love maxi dresses and skirt(and I am only 5ft 2 inches) and especially Anthropologie somerset maxi dresses
I found powder pink wide leg cropped jeans and matching cable knit sweater in my closet that were bought 2 different years and places. Ive loved wearing them together this winter!
I love that we are going to expand our repertoire a bit. The quiet luxury is quite nice but I think we are ready to expand our horizons a bit. Also loving the powder pink and cherry red.
Love seeing more dark red or maroon-its my fav color to wear. Really also like the pink/black trend-looking for something with floral print in those colors.
Wonderful vlog! I enjoy your take on up and coming fashion. I believe you have the pulse of the fashion world. Thank you. Always look forward to your videos.
Like you, maximalism is not my vibe, but i did buy a pantsuit that was a very bright floral. I only wore it once as a suit, though I did wear the jacket a number of times. I got rid of the pants and almost got rid of the jacket too, but decided to hang on to it for a bit. It makes a nice evening outfit with black pants and a hot pick top. I also bought on a whim (well I must confess, I made the purchase because i saw an influencer with one) a silver sequin jacket. Haven't worn it yet, but I'm liking the idea of pairing it with a white tee and jeans. That's the extent of my maximalism. Thinking of buying a baby or powder pink tweed lady jacket, too. As always, a great video. You're probably getting tired of me telling you that you are my FAVOURITE, what can I call you. Not influencer but maybe my muse or inspiration for great outfits. 💞💞
Animal print is my absolute fave… but I have select pieces that I wear. I have some handmade animal print flats that were the best shoe purchase I ever made. Stylish, comfortable.
Yes to broaches and scarfs and then I can wear my stick pins too! Orthofeet has a cute pair of leopard print casual shoes I’ve been tempted .. their shoes are comfortable too .. Good on the individualism too!
Spirited, refreshing touches come to mind as I see and hear your video on 2025 trends, Oralia. As I learn about and acquire more neutrals to wear, I'm feeling personal potential to creatively, in small ways, add a touch to a neutral palette. Brooches have long caught my fancy, especially as I browse through antique and secondhand shops. I'll mostly be considering what I already have, treasured scarves, Zuri brand blouses imported from from Africa, traditional plaids, all from my past wardrobes that have been tucked away for years, thus bringing even more pleasure into my choices for sparks of color and light. An instructional, defining video on Maximalism applied to plus size petites would certainly interest me . . . as an art education, at least. I would love to learn what you see and know on that topic. Thanks for today's inspiration, Oralia. And glad tidings to you and Angie.
I have a powder pink ruched tshirt dress , I only wore once . 💕 I’m gonna wear it more this spring 😊 i really like that suede purse it looks so suavecito. i remember we used to wear brooches in the 80s
Have you ever watched Elsbeth? I see her as slightly maxi😊 I never new the term but she popped into my head! Hey! I have two Boho dresses I bought just a few weeks ago and didn't realize they were boho BUT my husband made comment that they looked "old"😂 I am totally an individual. If I like it I wear it and don't care what people think. I also crochet tops and cardigans that I wear on the daily so very individual
I’ve been such maximalist type people gasp when I show up. They talk about me being dressed up, when to I’m looking normal. My jewelry is bold as my earrings who are my trademark. Because I’m a Black I can carry off the brightes of colors. Think of the movie Black Panther and this is my guide.
Trends or what's trending in fashion is just what is available in stores & new. If the trending silhouette or color is what you like, it's the time to shop. If not, you don't have to participate. Basics will still be there. I like the variety of choice now, especially in jeans.
Great trends (though I'll pass on the boho and maximalism--though I'd love a video on it) and I have them all in my closet. I've never stopped wearing brooches--and young men always comment on them! Very interesting! But could you add the suede spray link? I bought one on-line recently and need to return it because it is highly carcinogenic (benzene and toluene).
I would love if you could construct a low budget capsule wardrob in a old money vibe as an example. Preferably with items that can be found online both in the us and europe
Would you say that the pink dress worn by Usha Vance was powder pink? She looked great in it. I'd like to see you style a maximalist look. I don't think that's me, but I'm curious and would like to see it done well. I'm with you, in that I can see it going very wrong. I was a hippie college girl in the 70's, so bring on the Boho!
Keep pushing the individualism vibe. I’m seeing content creators all talking about the same items (Walmart primarily) and while I like many, I’m shying away because I don’t want to see myself coming and going. I think one of the best lessons you’ve taught me is to discover my style. That confidence has been a game changer. Gotta say not a fan of most of these trends. (Please no Gunne Sax if you remember from the 80s), colors not the best for me, don’t want the careful attention of suede, not a boho or maximalist gal. While that might sound negative, it’s actually uplifting. You’ve helped train my eye to be more discerning (and my wallet thanks you). It’s fun to look, but I’ll pass on what I know doesn’t work for me.
Brooches and scarves?! I'm here for both! I have quite a large collection of brooches from back in the day and look forward to wearing them more.
Me too!! 😀🥰
🙌🏼
Me too!! And some of my brooches are from my grandmother!
I love brooches. In my 30s, I wore them nearly every day. I am sure they are packed away in my garage somewhere. Maybe finding them will motivate me to clean out my garage. 😂
@@carolconickmcclellan6992those are definitely treasures!

Hi Oralia, I am curious to see maximalism done in plus size! Great vlog I enjoyed as always...🥰
HI Shirley! Thanks so much for your input!
Thank you for sharing your expertise. I am definitely open to seeing your takes on styling with maximalist inspiration.
Thank you!
I've always loved powder pink with brown. Less harsh than black, but still a beautiful contrast.

That’s so awesome!
I love to learn about different styles. Would like to learn more about maximalism.
Thank you!
I'm here for the 70s Boho & suede. I've been looking for a pair of tall, lace up boots in suede forever.
Eventually they will find you! 😉
I love boho
I found powder pink wide leg cropped jeans and matching cable knit sweater in my closet that were bought 2 different years and places. Ive loved wearing them together this winter!
Would love to see more on maximalism, especially where to shop for plus size maximalist pieces 🤩
Brooches, scarves, animal print, boho🥰🥰🥰🥰 I'm sooo excited ❣️ Yay🤸🤸🤸🤸
LOL, that's awesome!
I love that we are going to expand our repertoire a bit. The quiet luxury is quite nice but I think we are ready to expand our horizons a bit. Also loving the powder pink and cherry red.
Brooches and scarves?!! Oh my!! I love both. One of the reasons I love spending time in Europe..: scarves never go out of style there! 😊
They really do add a special touch, don't they? 😊
Love seeing more dark red or maroon-its my fav color to wear. Really also like the pink/black trend-looking for something with floral print in those colors.
I would love to see a video on maximalism. I love color and print. I'm often unsure if I've crossed into the "oh lord no!' category. LOL.
LOL. Thank you!
I love the 60's bohemian style. I am hoping to find a few things that fit. I am a go for this!
Great vlog Oralia. Appreciate the great advice. Looking forward to 70s Boho, loved the flowy fabrics.
Another fantastic video! Your words are powerful, outfits always inspirational. Thank you for sharing your positive insights ❤
Wonderful vlog! I enjoy your take on up and coming fashion. I believe you have the pulse of the fashion world. Thank you. Always look forward to your videos.
I dress simply, however wouldn’t mind a video on maximalism
Thank you!
I love the plaid dress from Walmart with the boots on you.

Awww! Thank you. I'm so glad to be of help to you!
Loved the video! It's great to see the new trends but love individualism that you stressed.

I wear a scarf almost every day! I feel unfinished without one.
I am here for drawstring cargos I won't stop and I LOVE THEM LOL

Thank you for sharing. Can you do a focus on shapewear? What's good, bad, worth the money?

Thank you!
Great video of you
Maximilian how-to video? Yes, please!
MAXIMALIST. (Darn that autocorrect!)
Maximalism for curvy women video pls
Please yes on maximimalism.
I am a massive fan of maximalism. At home! Just haven't quite got the guts to put it on me yet!!!
Good evening Oralia
Good evening!
Maximum style is good if you are tall I am 5 ft it would look like I am wearing a costume
Large prints make me feel upholstered.
I like, "all the animals are out".

No need for maximalism for me. I do love color!
No, no cows. 😢😢😢
Yeah. I used to dig it a bit when it first came about in my 20's (the 90's) when I was in my rocker chick era.
You lost me as a viewer at "f that"
