I was 30 when Lennon was killed. So very unnecessary. In 1965 when I was 15, I saw the Beatles in concert in Atlanta. Yep, I adored the Beatles and their music. Great vlog!

I saw the Beatles in concert on Sept 1964. I was 13vyears old and will never forget it. I was struck in awe when they came running out on stage in Baltimore, Maryland. Everyone was screaming but I sat there mesmerized. Their first song...Twist and Shout was sung by John Lennon, my favorite Beatle through the years alive and after the sad death. I could not believe it. How horrible. I remember where I was when Kennedy was shot in 1963 in Dallas, TX and where when I heard John was shot. Too bad he and Yoko did not go out to ear instead of going home to see his son. He never did get to see him.

I was 24 when John Lennon died. I remember hearing it from Howard Cosell when watching MNF. I remember he said we might as well all go home now. The game doesn’t matter. He liked John Lennon and interviewed him. I was making fruit cake that night and tears ended up in my batter. We were all so heartbroken when he was taken from us so violently! Enjoy NYC Jordan. I don’t get back home anymore. Miss it dearly. 🦁❤️

Awesome Vlog Jordan! I was 3 almost 4 when he died. Ive stood in the spot in August of 2001 where John Lennon was killed. There was an old man at the entrance that was telling me all about it once i told him i was there because of John Lennon. He was full of knowledge about the murder. I had gotten many pictures of the Dakota and New York in general including the World Trade Center. Ironically a month later it was destroyed on 9/11

What a great vlog! I think it's so great how you're able to travel all over the place to show us things some of us might not be able to see for ourselves. I was 15 when I heard about John Lennon being shot. So tragic and sad that it ended that way for him. Working Class Hero is my all time favorite Lennon song. I mean think about it, the lyrics to that 1970 song can be applied to today's society. I think it's a more powerful song than Imagine. Don't get me wrong, Imagine is a great song, but Working Class Hero is just more of a masterpiece IMHO. Just sayin......... ;-)

John and Yoko had a big record out at the time. I knew the songs well but didn’t put it together that he was in the Beatles til a little while later. I was 11. Still remember how sad it was. One of the first times I learned about psycho fans. What a legend

I too remember that Monday evening living near Seattle, watching "Monday Night Football" when Howard Cosell announced that John had been shot in NYC. I travelled to San Francisco the next day and it seemed everyone there was mourning his death whikle celebrating his short life and many achievements.
Jordan of Hollywood: Few know that "From Me to You" was a hit record in the Los Angeles area during the summer of 1963. (I was living in San Pedro then, riding my bike all over and listening to a transistor radio via an earplug, to the Girl Groups, Beach Boys, etc.) This was months before The Beatles appeared on "The Ed Sullivan Show" Feb. 9, 1964--launching Beatlemania and the British Invasion that Sunday night. And we all shine on...

LOVED the Oscar Wild Café & Bar. and your didn't get a Wing seat on the way to NYC! LOL! Keep up the great work!

I just started a new job on 8th and 22 birthday was next day 9th December. But UK time would have been early morning of the 9th. I'd have been 22 when John was sadly killed.

I see I’m a couple years late watching this. You did a great job sharing what happened on that day. I know exactly where I was when John Lennon died.
He was such a huge part of our world and would have been working to change attitudes even today. For me he was part of the “BEATLES “❤️. I’m so glad that I was a teenager when the “Fab Four” arrived on the music scene. That is something you obviously missed out on….. But at least with all the photos and videos and now the fantastic documentary “Get Back” you can just Imagine…… As John would say. Blessings to you and Merry Christmas! ✌️❤️🎄⭐️

I think a great vlog to do is when it's fall or early fall when the leaves start changing and falling... do a "beautiful Backroads of America" I think it would be neat to do some vlogs during that time off of the beaten path

I will never forget that day, came home from work, and the TV was on “John Lennon is dead” Unbelievable, the Beatles were our childhood, we grew up with them, and I feel in love with John from that first Ed Sullivan show.

Not sure if anyone was there. But on Dec 8, 2000 Myself and a friend brought out guitars and played to the right of that entrance. We led hundreds of people in a Lennon/Beatles Sing along for about 2 hours. NYPD asked me to lead the crowd into the park as the streets began to fill. To the right of that Gated entrance, there is a little raised stoop prob 10x15 feet wide and 6-8 inches high we used as a stage. That would have been the 20th anniversary of his death. I will never forget that day, very great memories of that evening and that crowd that gathered. My friend lost the disposable camera with all the pictures on it. If you were there and have pics, I would love to see them, but I know its a long shot.

I'm an interior designer and made the interiors of the apartment with the second bay window from the ground. I entered by both entries, the front one and the side one. In the movie "Rosemay's baby" they use the back stairs and the first time I went there, I went through those creepy stairs, with the elevator with the operator doorman. When I came in by the back door, the place was painted plain white all over, exactly like in the movie. Of course, we turned it into a Victorian mansion. I personally, designed all the draperies in the place. The ones in that window, I design them skimpy and open, more decorative than functional. Since that is the window of the main living room, only used when non family guests will come by, privacy was not an issue. I thought it was worth to be able to see the entryway at any time anyone would get into that bay space. 3 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms 2 living rooms, 1 grand dinning room with a gallery window, towards the courtyard, and an enormous kitchen and family room. I know Rosemay's baby was filmed at the back of one of the apartments, but by the way the windows and the passage from Rosemay's apartment to the old Satanists landlord, it had to be one in the south east side, same as Yoko's place, or Northwest, which would be the ones facing 73rd. St and away from the park view. The south west and north east, have the living room entrance to the left. In the movie, the living room entrance it's to the right. It's a condominium and Madonna wanted to buy an apartment in the building, but the owners association, denied it. They didn't want any more famous scandals, at their doors. Madonna finally bought at 80 CPW; equally expensive, generally less known, but having condo owners, famous in the world of TV, music, movies, etc ...
