Bad enough that the poor cat was a, stray, in need of help..... Very creepy, realistic situation. Just be careful, people! First chance you get - show footage to the police
These kinds of stories are among my favorites. So eerie when the evil in the story is something that could and has happened before. When you live in a big city you pass by dozens of people a day, chance encounters that could evolve into being in the same dire situation the couple in this story was in. I wonder, how many times have I walked past a stranger and shared a glance/hello/nod of the head; without knowing that person is a lunatic capable of murder, a serial killer, or someone out looking to victimize a stranger in some fashion. There are so many sick people out in the world, some are just suffering mental illness and due to that illness are capable of doing horrible things if put in the wrong situation. Creepy to think about! And impossible not to contemplate when listening to a story like this one!
This is by far the best creepypasta story I've heard since the penpal series was written. What makes a story creepy is the ambiguity of it. The writing may not have been perfect, but it had great ambiguity.
I’ve had a few experiences from renting a condo in college when the realtor selling the place would be in there when I got home. Sometimes, showing the apartment to strangers and leaving the door wide open (which made me the most upset as I have 2 cats). Once I came out of my room after a shower to 4 people standing in my living room. They wouldn’t give me notice, they would just show up. it was the most sickening feeling I’ve ever felt, I still get nauseous thinking about it. It‘s not the same as the story, but I can relate to the horror of learning someone has been in your home. This honestly upset me and I had to start and stop it a few times out of anxiety haha.
The story could of been written better at the ending, it was just felt rushed but, the way I see it, he was either a wanted sentient or an experiment gone wrong. He has a child's mindset, you can tell from how we was at awed with everything N how he was fascinated with every little thing. Specially when he got worried about the wife being allergic and not knowing from right to wrong, he assumed that killing the cat would save her from the allergies, thus him feeling proud of what he had done. Not knowing of the consequences of his actions. I'm sure he didn't want to cause any harm or have evil intentions but if you see it from a child's perspective he was just fascinated with everything single detail of life everything being new and a wonder. He was prob in the 1st stages of being born or etc that's why he was heavily wanted.
I love domestic Creepypastas like this one. I can see this having a really compelling sequel. Maybe Andrew somehow escaping and moving in next door to their next new house.
This is my favorite so far here. Really fine story building. I actually am left wanting more. What is the neighbor? Is he human? Feels like an imposter, something imitating a human. Why did he take down the "for sale" signs? I guess he was obsessed with the couple and wanted them more comfortable. Then why did he go checking the doors? Why was his house a rat''s nest? The story generates fantastic questions. If I was a film producer, I would purchase this!
I think it’s more that he didn’t say much about himself and when he did, he’d pause before speaking as though he was thinking about it. Also, I think it’s how obsessive he was.
As much as I enjoy monster and ghost stories, they will never hold a candle to stories that have that human level of fear, in my eyes. When the monster is just an average person. no magic, werewolf, witches and so on. That is when the story is truly scary ♡ shame we didnt get to know more about Andrew but everything else was such a great slow crawl
Damn in the first few minutes I noticed how similar I am to that guy.. i mean I literally thank people for talking to me, i ask a ton of questions and I constantly give presents to make people like me. But I could never hurt an animal... they're so lovely !!!

I'll definitely be sleeping with my blinds drawn and one eye on the closet door tonight!
Excuse me, what? The moment I realized he was in my house, I would have left. I would not want to "see more" and I'd assume I could just watch from my phone somewhere else. Heck, if I were so paranoid that I'd installed cameras, I probably would have seen it when I got to work, if possible. Nope. I'd call my partner, and tell them I'll meet them *not* at home. Edit: I'm also wondering why the police were asking so many personal questions about the stalked couple. They didn't do anything wrong, so I don't see why those questions were necessary.
I kept waiting for the twist, wow. I am glad it had a happy ending at least. They tend to be my favorite although they are probably not too common. I really like the channel. Your voice is perfect for these readings.

Ok super scary! What makes this one so creepy is things like this actually happen. Scary, man scary. So happy the police took them seriously. That guy had problems.
This was surprisingly very frightening due to just how real it feels. If I had any gripe about this story, it's that the ending seemed a little too...
