I have 8 hours round trip to and from work. It took every ounce of restraint that I posses and wait for my Monday to begin which was yesterday, Thursday, so that I could enjoy my trip to work and my trip home, after work. I just kept telling myself “ only 2 more days to go. Only 1 day to go, You can do this!” I almost didn’t do “this” and would have been so disappointed in myself for not waiting. I am so proud of myself! I have ADHD and have no impulse control, no filter and a whole bunch of really great quirks (said with so much sarcasm!)🤨🤬 So, today I actually woke up with a spring in my step, actually excited to be up and get ready for work at zero dark-30😅. I almost gave in a had the thoughts along this line “It wouldn’t hurt to put my beats in and get a head start on a magical journey for my ears and imagination and just start listening. Who’s gonna know?!” I almost gave in to my desires. However, I know myself all to well and would have become so enraptured in your latest genius work and would have been late, most likely with only 1 eyelash hanging on for dear life, pants or maybe a blouse inside out, possibly even both. I’d be driving to work wondering if I remembered to brush my teeth and just so disappointed that I just gave in !!! So, here I sit eating a sausage & egg McMuffin, washing it down with coke and savoring each crunchy bite of my 2nd hash brown. I told my co-workers that if they valued their life they would do everything possible not to interrupt me. I sent a group text the night before advising my passengers that unless it was a life or death situation, not 1 of them had better try talking to me, ask any questions or anything that would force me to hit “pause” and remove a beat. If it wasn’t a life or death situation, rest assured that’s exactly what it would turn into…a life or death 💀 situation. I advised my passengers that they needed to pee before we hit the interstate, bring a sweater or a lap blanket cuz I refused to turn the thermostat up, or turn it off. If someone had to go pee or 💩 they were going to have to hold it. Bring a barf bag in the event they thought they may become sick. The only exception to all of my “rules” is when I go through the Starbucks drive thru. Since the morning drive thru line is always long that would be their only chance to run into the bathroom, grab breakfast, or do whatever they felt they needed. So far, all went well. My co-pilot asked if I would be willing to bring in my JBL flip 6 so that we could all listen? I was just overjoyed that they were willing to listen along with me. 1 co-worker said your channel, your great narration, you sexy, sultry voice (my words, not theirs!) must be something worth listening to or I wouldn’t threaten bodily harm if I had to interrupt you. So, I’m anxiously waiting to pick everyone up at our designated pick up spot so that I can hit play, and we can all get lost together ( lost as what a great way to get lost just trying to picture each and every word, lost as in I can just picture everything you’re describing.) So, I am sitting in my car with a Cheshire Cat like smile, eagerly waiting for my co-workers to arrive, get seatbelt’s buckled, and hit “PLAY.” FYI: I told them all I was willing to start from the beginning so that they’ll have an easier time understanding what’s going on. I also said that this would possibly be the one and only time that they would be able to interrupt the story if they have any questions, need any clarification, have any questions so that they not lost, better able to understand anything they don’t understand, etc,… I want each and everyone to enjoy your works of Art, but not feel foolish if they don’t understand a word, a description or whatever they have a question about. I even have put a rough draft of who all the characters are. The names of all the players, what they do, (I’m so excited to introduce them to Muriel!!🎉😅❤❤ I’m going to take such pleasure in introducing each character, what I think they look like, job descriptions, or anything I think will help them understand the vital roles each character plays and why they’re so important, different, personality or lack thereof.
