      I have a question Sir
      Is blender easy to learn than Houdini

    • @olivalwein
      @olivalwein  3 года назад +2

      @@harshitrao8729 Well, Blender and Houdini are not comparable. Houdini is procedural from beginning to end and not a generalist tool. Blender has a huge amount of features but targets more the general 3D stuff. Geometry nodes are starting to make Blender more procedural, but its in the making. Houdini is a great tool for VFX and such and not that easy to pick up I would say...Blender became lot more userfriendly with 2.80. For both is a lot of tutorials around here on YT.
      Cheers!

    Can anyone tell me what are the skills and softwares I need to know to become an fx artist?

    • @olivalwein
      @olivalwein  2 года назад +2

      No simple answer to that possible I guess. There are many ways to get there. Maybe start with the Apprentice Version of Houdini, if you already know about 3D graphics/animation. Houdini is standard for FX I would say. If you don´t know 3D stuff, maybe start with Blender or Maya to get into it. Houdini´s approach is way different though.. RUclips has a huge amount of free tutorials. Also there is a lot of payed content out there. You can also visit a FX school. There are also plenty around the world. Do an internship at an FX company, but you need some skills first, I would recommend... ;)

      @@olivalwein thanks a lot for these valuable informations, actually I am a student in vfx, I know rotoscoping, paint / prep, and some knowledge of compositing however I am not must interested in these things so I want to be an Fx artist, I have a little knowledge of Maya so after learning it fully will go to Houdini.
