Why do you find homeschooling worth it? Or why not?

For me, it's worth it for my child's mental health! She did K-5 in public school and we couldn't take it anymore! Also, off topic but - what kind of mic do you use? MAN, your audio is so crisp and clear.

Haha. Thank you! I actually don't use a special mic. With this particular video, I forgot to turn off our dishwasher when recording and had terrible background noise. So I ended up using Enhance Speech from Adobe to clean it up. I hadn't done that before and it worked super well.

Loved your video… and you listed all the same reasons we homeschool. Funny thing, dating my husband I told him the same thing. It was a non-negotiable. He was wary at first, but he came around. 😅

I’m glad I am not the only one that goes a little nuts and needs a break. 😂 It’s not always rainbows and sunflowers. 😊

I think the "homeschooling is easy" should really be "homeschooling is doable."

Yes!! Your reasons are all so good, and I agree with them all! The worldview thing is so important, and something I didn't use to think about. But all of the hours kids spend in instruction by others during school...this is a big deal to me. The relationship building is also such a good one. I know it's not always the case, but it's been such a blessing to have my kids grow up with each other, rather than separated in a school building all day!!
    Thanks for hosting the collab!

Thanks! I'm glad you could join.
I'm super thankful for the relationships I have with my siblings. Homeschooling is not the only reason for that, but it is part of it.

So worth it for a huge variety of reasons, from individualized education to better family relationships to being able to disciple our children to so many other reasons! Love hearing your reasons too ❤

Love it! One of my biggest reasons is so my kids can have more free time. I think sitting in a classroom for a full day is nuts, especially for my wiggly first grade boy. I want him to use that energy, not have to bottle it in.

Yes, I loved that about being homeschooled. I was done and having fun long before the other kids in our neighborhood.

I find my kids crying over independent work so I look into why!!! I didn’t understand why homeschooling was so much better till we started!!! We are an adventurous family and I’m able to speak to my older kids about cultures that are different than ours and our younger kids we don’t vist those places!!! When I was a pre school teacher and kids went into school the school didn’t want siblings together and that shocked me!!! The parents told us that they were expecting the kids not to talk to each other!!!

That's sad to me that they didn't want siblings interacting!
