they do such a great job making pokemon that are fun to play and aesthetically pleasing. besides needing to numb myself to reality, this is the reason i continually come back to this game.
This is probably my favorite release of all time. Can't wait!

i love pokemon unite so much. i've only been playing offline mode because of a situation with my family and my mental state being extremely poor (i'd practically be useless in a real match) but i love how unique every pokemon is in pokemon unite. i honestly don't really like mobas that much but pokemon unite is amazing because you get to play as a pokemon (which is rare apart from like, pmd and pokepark) but the pokemon are so fleshed out and theyre all really satisfying to play and i feel like that's hard to come by at least for me because i'm extremely picky with characters in "fighting" games. like i don't really think i'm disappointed with any pokemon with the way they play not damage wise (bc zacian is a nightmare) but with the moves they can use because it all fits together really well.

Case anyone else hasn't noticed the official Pokemon unite channel has put out a new video on laprus and updated move setlist.. this is the first video of its kind for that channel..
It's better than their previous videos where they didn't detail the moves
But yours is much more detailed than there's from the looks of it..
My vote is for Water Pulse / Bubble Beam. I think the stuns and constant boosted attacks are gonna be great for diving into a fight. Like a Blastoise that actually has healing!
Perish song is just too good. Turns lapras into a raid boss.
Goodra doesnt recover Hp with basics, it only gets heal from dragon pulse and its unite

It’s gonna be interesting to see what kind of scoring shenanigans are going to happen with Lapras’ Unite move. An easy 200 points might make peeling or back-capping more viable in situations where it would be throwing the Ray fight.

Dude, Deci actually heals a lot w/ Razor leaf. The biggest issue is CC stopping it from attacking/healing then it gets KOed. This could be super amazing on him.
I feel like Goodra is the one that needs healing on boosted being a melee brawler in a cc spoon meta and not a ranged pokemon that already has a damage reduction passive
With the execute moves being added, I'm expecting Exeggutor to be added too

Okay, so have a comfey on a venasour / mew riding a lapras and just shoot magical leaf with solar beams.
This makes me want a transporter Pokémon that can move teammates around all the time..like a reverse Comfey lol

I know I am going to try to work with this defender just like I was working with Goodra in the game of Pokemon Unite. I think Lapras might be the Pokemon to KO Zacian too with Perish song and the other moves too. Plus I do get KO with other Pokemon in the game while I play Zacian in the game anyway.
Most looking forward to trying Bubble-Beam/Perish-Song with probably Cookie/Focus/Spoon. The main thing I like about Perish Song right now is the upgrade that allows you to get more boosted attacks for greater healing and I'm assuming that healing is based on max-HP, hence the Cookie. That said, Ice-Beam/Water-Pulse also looks very strong!
Yeah, at lvl w/ the boosted + shield combo, it sounds like it has crazy sustain. I was also thinking of this exact build and items, although, since it's a defender, the SP attack scaling might be crazy good, SP attack specs might be optimal as well. And yes, it is a set amount of healing, 9% per boosted.
@@rodrigovelasquez9854 True, the StkSpecs could certainly be good for that reason. Kinda silly to me that the devs allow that strategy for Defenders 😅

It's kind of funny that they didn't give it surf because of how surf is often used to transport you across the water in the main games and lapras is well known for being the transportation pokemon
Surf is basically its unite while transporting other Pokémon
Ice pokemons and moves in the game makes me really want weavile. Imagine it as a speedster where it can use ice to move fast like in the anime. I feel sad for bergmite though. They could have done that with it sliding through the game. And Avalugg like a Blastoise.
Why isnt Bergmite an option?

Lapras is starting to look like it has tyranitar late game. It's such a good brawler.
My favorite thing was Lapras giving other Pokemon a ride. It's fun gameplay-wise, but it also fits perfectly with the core theme of Lapras, which is ferrying people and pokemon around.
Edit: It also just occurred to me that the unite move can be used, not just offensively, but to rescue a team-mate struggling to get away by swooping in to save them and riding off again, lol.
I usually keep the move loaded as a emergency escaped which has saved me numerous times. But also to carry teammates off from bad situations or to quickly score/ defend a base.
Sometimes I escape just to offense else where.

Idk if it will counter it, but at least it will greatly reduce the damage of Zacian's sacred sword because of its shell armor.

Couldn't you technically take 3 pokemon with him on his ult if it's a comfee attached to you or the other pokemon if so then that's some crazy map control with the right players or team.

Wait. You forcibly pick up your allies?? That's actually crazy. You can go around with Duraludon, Cramorant, and Decidueye as they're ulting and become a mobile turret unit.

Okay it seems like how you should play Lapras is that it's like a chase down so once you're near it you cannot escape kind of like cramorant you can't run it

lapras taxi would be the funnest thing ever😂. Lapras with like a decidueye raining down spirit shackles the whole map. Definitely the most fun part of the kit. I would pile umite to do more unique stuff like this.

you can't even run away, its too fast. Best thing is a defender trying to bump the train. An attacker/speedster can't live long enough to do that

Did you read what I wrote? You can have Lapras take a player Comfey is attached to, giving you 2 players at once. Blissey's unite will move make her chase Lapras, thus you have 4 players moving at once including Lapras.
Can the execute KO from Perish song be done by a teammate or does it HAVE to be Lapras that gets the knockout?
