The area behind you showing the Superstition Mountains is mostly Lost Dutchman State Park. Large number of good sized campsites with water and power and a dump station. Stayed there several times in late Winter, early Spring. Beautiful time of year in the dessert!!

hey, i see my work at 24:43 on the right. LOL, glad you guys enjoyed the valley. used to love Harold's in cave creek, but haven't been since before the pandemic. they used to have this apple pie moon shine in a mason jar that was amazing. you all should come back for a concert when they complete the new VAI resort over by Westgate in Glendale. apparently the pool facing rooms will have balcony views of the elevated stage that will be over a man made lagoon. as far as downtown goes, i work down there, and occasionally go out to the Churchill, or AZ wilderness (similar to OHSO pronounced "oh-so" like Spanish for bear) or Theodore; which is my favorite bar on Roosevelt row. we do have a fair bit of homeless in downtown and it has gone up in the past two years, BUT downtown is finally becoming a destination of it's own. Roosevelt from 3rd ave to 7th street is definitely worth a walk around, especially on a first Friday. the first Friday of each month Roosevelt row tuns into a street fair and tens of thousands of people walk about eating, drinking and looking at the galleries, etc. again, so happy you all enjoyed your visit here!

oh, almost forgot! the cactus was a jumping cactus. it doesn't actually jump, but it is a way for the cactus to propagate itself. there are some types of cactus that have barbed spines that pull flesh with them when you pull them out. so it's a good thing it didn't go deep or get your leg. lol, a slight touch can dislodge a segment of the cactus and it will stick to you until you fling it off somewhere and a new cactus will grow where it landed.

Looks like you guys had a lot fun and did a lot of shit. When u come back you have to see tortilla flats which is close to the superstitions. There’s some great hidden speak-easys too. When u come back definitely hit me up and I’ll take u to some great places as well as great food places.

Definitely man. Wish we could have met up but as you can see it was nothing after another. I’ve heard a lot about tortilla flats. Want to see that for sure and speak-easys that would have been cool.
