Oh Ken. You are so great explaining things... I work for a SB store and when our clients buy a Silhouette Cameo I refer them to your site as they are very excited about starting to use it inmediatly. je,je. I love this Mint and I will consider to buy it as I have the Cameo and you know we want to have it all, LOL!!. Tks so much.
Thanks for yet another great review, Ken! One small point: for those of us who are getting up there in years and have hearing loss, the background music makes it more difficult to concentrate on the content of the video. I never want to miss a single word you have to say!
Thanks you so much! I just got the Mint because it was on sale. I had never seen one used and when I opened the box I knew I was lost. This gave me all the info I needed!
I love that I can make a stamp spur of the moment! If I am making a card and can't find the perfect greeting or sentiment, I can make my own customized stamp immediately!
Love how you explain everything in detail and don't leave it up to the person who buys to know what and how to do it. Because of this, I have no subscribed, liked and as you can see commented. Thank you so much as I was interested in asking for this for my birthday.
Hi, Ken: You're my go-to channel for reviews! You always do a thorough job, and several times now, I've made a decision (sometimes a yes, sometimes a no) based on the material you've presented. I also appreciate the great work you've done to create playlists so I can easily find the videos I'm interested in. Thank you... congrats on a super channel... and keep up the terrific work. Happy New Year! ~ Susan
WOW! Just made my first stamp. It turned out pretty darn good, even if I do say so myself. The Mint is so much fun. The only thing I hate is that you can't just play around with it all night because I'm dying to make more stamps!...lolol. I got mine on sale for a whole $70 OFF the regular price, so I couldn't possibly pass it up. I'm glad I got it. I love the Mint. It's very easy to use. Thanks for the great video, Ken. :)
Thank you for this tutorial I’m getting ready to get one of these machines and had no idea how to use it or how it works I know this is an older video however you do such an amazing job giving us all the information thank you so much
Wow, thanks for this review! I have been on the fence about getting the mint due to the mess that previous stamp makers made but this seems EASY and that's what i am looking for. TFS Be Blessed
Hi Ken! I purchased the Mint after your video about Black Friday sales! What a steal for the bundle!!! TY! Question, when they say it’s good for up to 50 impressions before re-inking... Does that mean I can stamp twice and leave the ink stored on the impression until I’m ready to use again say weeks later? Or are all 50 impressions needed to be made right away? Thanks for all your reviews and videos! Great energy! Hugs!
Thanks for the review. I'm intrigued by this machine but don't like the colors of available inks. Would the stamps work at all with a typical dye ink pad? Even just a single impression at a time?
interesting. have you seen or heard about the new Brother's scan and print machine. would love to see you review that machine. is it better than the other cutting machine. n .worth the hype
Thanks for the review I have really been waiting on a good review and you did not disappoint. I love the stamp quality and how fast it is. But the cost of the stamp refills are a bit high right now. I will revisit purchasing the Mint when the refill cost comes down. Since I can have a stamp made for half or about the same price as a refill. Is there any idea on the life of the stamp itself? And is it etched or heat printed? Is it like a screen-print?
+Kens Kreations You are right BUT, you are incorrect. I tried last night to get an image in the search bar. The images can be downloaded/recovered but will NOT merge with the provided 50 images that come with the Mint. You also can't do a search to FIND your library images, only the 50 images are available to choose from. RIDICULOUS! How do they develop software and not realize this will be a needed function?
I already have a cameo and it does stampig with the stamping kit. Can you compare and what is cheaper, like where i can use third party inks and materials?
+RL Samson huge differences. This machine uses thermal printing and the ink absorbs into the stamps. This is much better and can handle intricate designs much better
Ah ok. It would be another great video for you to compare the process of each, cost, results and maybe other DIY stamping from competitors of silhouette (if there are any out there). :)
Ken, your tutorial was great... but this isn't what I need, and I KNOW you are the man to go to when it come to something like this... I want to make a Custom made stamp.... and I have seen someone on here (I thought it was you) that knows how to CUT a stamp out of , I guess clear rubbererie (sp) and then be able to put it on a clear block and stamp with it... Am I making any sense? LOL... if you can think of the product, I know it's clear... to have the Silhouette cut it... please let me know... Thank you again for such a great tutorial... ;)
what does it mean ken when status reads lever open? Blue light never blinks I am so frustrated. I already sent one back. also downloaded, and installed new version. currently using aoftware that came with mint .the new version status said remove stamp. silouette America is no help I am about to cry. please help me..
Do you have to apply the ink like that? Will it not work with a regular ink stamping pad? I'm trying to decide if I want one or not, but that seems wasteful (on ink).
Hi thanks for your demo. can you peel the stamp off the block and put another one one or do you have to buy new blocks for each stamp? hope this makes sense!. Viv
How on earth did I miss your video? Upon your thumbs up I've ordered a Mint. Maybe that's how I missed this one??? My ESP must have known you were going to cost me money, lol. As always great review, HUGS
My software won’t recognize my mint machine And Silhouette won’t help me. I have the software downloaded. It just looks like there’s. I machine attached. But there is! I’ve restarted laptop, I know the port works because it makes a noise when I plug it in... I’m missing a driver I believe.
pesto12601 True. I'd also prefer larger stamps than the ones these make. However, yes the price will probably come down at some point, and maybe they'll make one that can do bigger stamps. That said, it's still a great use of technology. :)
I LOVE my Mint, the only issue I encounter is what stamps to make! A bit off subject, but I appreciate how articulated your speech is, as well as the lack of non-lexical utterances. #KK60K
I forgot I have seen this video before. Lol Thanks for doing a how to video. They are so helpful! Ken , Do you ever think they will make other sizes?for this?Kk60k
Thanks for another great review!! Love the detail you put into your reviews and your timing is fantastic. You guys put tons of work into these and they are greatly appreciated. Thanks for all you do for the crafting world. I'm learning so much!! Regarding the Silhouette Mint, it looks like an amazing product but rather expensive for something most people won't use often. Very cool though!!! #KK60K
#KK60K...whenever I want to know about an craft item or craft project I go to your RUclips page. I just can't believe that both you and Sean have full time jobs...I am retired and there are not enough hours in a day for me to accomplish 1/2 of the things I want to do...way to go guys...keep up the good work 🤗
Interesting video! Always wondered how to use the Mint. I have the Silhouette 1, so I'm a little out dated on machines at the moment. Plus, I just bought the 650W Brother machine. #KK60K
You do get fun toys to review! I agree the cost is high but if you really want the personalized stamp - it's a great way to go. Thanks for the honest review. #KK60K
#KK60K...Thanks for doing this video. I don't know of anyone who has this and I have seen it in out local craft store but never really gave it a second look. It is actually pretty cool and impressive. Thanks for sharing.
How amazing :) I didn't know what it was, and I was slightly disappointed it wasn't in a Mint colour but it is very sleek looking. Does the name have a specific meaning? Lovely and quiet and creative to use I bet :) #KK60K
thanks for the tips and review very user-friendly I like how all your stamps they came out very nice. would they work on your clear stamping blocks. #kk60k
Thank you for the detailed review, Ken. I've watched a few videos and yours brought up some great points that helped me make my decision - I'll wait until the price drops as I just don't see the cost/value to the Mint at this point. Thank you for saving me money !!! :-D
Oh, I totally agree!! It looks like a lot of fun and it's part of your line of work. I'd buy every new crafting item that came along if my funds were unlimited, but since I have to be selective, the Mint will have to wait. Thank you again for your videos...your channel is a favorite of mine.
I didn't even know about this!!!! I love it, it's so cute!!! Thanks you major enabler!! #KK60K! By the way your videos are perfect, to the point and so clear!!!!
I didn't even know what a Slhouette Mint was until I watched this video. You are so good at delivering all of the information someone would need in order to purchase an item! Now I want a Silhouette Mint! #kk60k
I didn't even know this existed until I watched your live video last night and announced the giveaway. This is so awesome! I don't need it, but I sure want it :) #KK60K
There needs to be an update. It is 2023. The mint cost between $48 and $50.00. The pads are 1 to $3.00. The ink is a $1.00,now on their website. I just brought one and the inks. The ink on amazon is $7.99. The machines is about the same as on the website. I brought the machine from amazon and buying the ink and extra pads from the site. YEAH!
;-) I think the Silhouette Mint was quieter than your music ;-) Nice review on this neat Stamp making machine! Great tool for someone making their own stamps for their business. #KK60K

Great video. Do you know if it will be possible to use metal colors as gold and silver?
+Connie Spangenberg Not sure as they have not release the colors yet
Thanks for the review. I'm intrigued by this machine but don't like the colors of available inks. Would the stamps work at all with a typical dye ink pad? Even just a single impression at a time?
No these are not raised.

Hi everyone, I just bought my Mint Machine. Did my first Stamp and went crazy. It's AWESOME. just need to get more stamp
Nice review, Ken. Quick question. After stamping, can you heat set embossing powder on the image?
+kukrae no. the ink is not yet.
Very helpful! Thanks Ken
interesting. have you seen or heard about the new Brother's scan and print machine. would love to see you review that machine. is it better than the other cutting machine. n .worth the hype

Is there any idea on the life of the stamp itself? And is it etched or heat printed? Is it like a screen-print?
+The Kids and I I believe it is lifetime. It is thermal printed.
Always love your reviews; very helpful, thanks :)
+sandybb36 thanks
Can you use the stamp on the acrylic mounts to make storage of stamps easier?
How big a stamp can you make in inches?
take a peek here: amzn.to/2CQJ2yG
Can we use ALL our existing Silhouette LIBRARY images with the new mint as well not just the 50 images they give you?
+Yorkie Peachy Girl LLC yes
+Kens Kreations

You give the best reviews... thank you
Ken, how much do the stamps cost to continue to use the Mint machine? KK60K
What version windows does it use?
www.silhouetteamerica.com/software
Why are the inks in bottles? I assume it works with regular stamp ink but can anyone confirm that it does?
Do you have to apply the ink like that? Will it not work with a regular ink stamping pad? I'm trying to decide if I want one or not, but that seems wasteful (on ink).
No it will not.

Thank you, I was on the fence about buying a Mint. This the first review I've seen on it and it makes me want one. You do great reviews on products.
Thanks! I have to say I had doubts going into it and it is expensive but it is a great product!
My software won’t recognize my mint machine And Silhouette won’t help me. I have the software downloaded. It just looks like there’s. I machine attached. But there is! I’ve restarted laptop, I know the port works because it makes a noise when I plug it in... I’m missing a driver I believe.
So the mint isn’t Bluetooth compatible ??? Really sucks for people like me with a macbook that doesn’t have a USB port haha...
#KK60K I never miss your reviews!!! Hugs to both of you!
Blimey, it's amazing the technology you can get these days :)
+Dee Smith It is amazing...but with technology comes with a price
Kens Kreations so true. Though it could be something a group of people could club together and share :)
pesto12601 I was thinking if one belonged to a crafting club or something like that.
pesto12601 True. I'd also prefer larger stamps than the ones these make. However, yes the price will probably come down at some point, and maybe they'll make one that can do bigger stamps.
That said, it's still a great use of technology. :)
I found it... it is a Silhouette Stamping Starter Kit.... have you ever use it? Let me know if you have and what you think... Thanks Ken... ;)
