    THIS is the best Mint video I've seen. I wish that someone would have made a Curio one like this. The ones on the Curio aren't as good. Thank you for posting!

    can you use the stamp (without dripping ink onto it) by putting it onto a ink pad, like a traditional ink stamp?

  • @douro20
    @douro20 8 лет назад

    The process is very similar to flash stamp making, except this uses a thermal printhead instead of a flash lamp. Flash stamp machines use a similar material but it is denser, and requires considerably more heat, hence the need to use a flash lamp. But this would work well if you don't need a stamp that will last thousands of impressions between inkings. The cost difference here is quite substantial: Brother's SC2000 system- the only digital flash stamp machine on the market- costs over $800.

    Hi! Can you also use the stamp with ink pads instead of putting the ink on with the little bottle..?

    As per smittenmami, I'd also like to know, can you use your own dye, pigment or other ink pad with these stamps?

    What happens to the leftover ink on the stamp if, for example, you only stamp 10 images? Does it dry up and harden on the stamp? If so, wouldn't that make the stamp unusable?

    Does the photos have to be black and white to become a stamp or can you use color. I used a color picture of my dog and the stamp came out dark and not right I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

    • @susantouw7515
      @susantouw7515 7 лет назад

      The stamp is literally just that, a stamp. You can add any of their colour or black ink. There are tons of videos explaining that!

      Susan Touw I mean in this video the man took a picture of a little girl and turned it into a stamp. It was so crisp. Was not dark or. Blurry it came out perfect. Person said you can take any image from the Internet or any image in the world and make a stamp.
      I tried and I’m having trouble as nothings coming out right. I try taking colored images and it came out either too dark I try taking black-and-white images interesting come out right what am I doing wrong. There’s not really any videos on RUclips on how to make stamps on just photos.

      Actually you need it to be black so the program can “read “ the image, I tried with images with light colors and nothing showed, so o tried the same image but black and it read it perfectly

    Does the mint stamp machine operate independently from the Main Silhouette machine?

      Yes

      Yes it does. It’s a different program as well. You don’t actually work on the silhouette program.

    oh so you have to buy the stamps just looked at the price and you only get two in a pack this is not for me to expensive

    • @bellacullenmalfoy
      @bellacullenmalfoy 7 лет назад

      madhatters crafts it depends of the use you are going to give it to, for example I use them for specific occasions, Christmas, name for paperwork, invitations, addresses, for my brand, if you are going to use it several times I don’t see that is so expensive, if you use it as a hobby or for kids though...

    Why would anyone want to store such a large stamp? Stamps are going to cling and photopolymer which store so much easier when you have a lot of stamps. I have unmounted all my wooden stamps and put them on cling foam. I would love to be able to make my own stamps, but not in such a cumbersome size.

      Mary Fielder you don't need to keep it in the block. they sell one block and a lot of white parts that has the stamp on it

    • @bellacullenmalfoy

    there was a line through the motiv, that was not nice. I would not like to have it like that after paying that price for that machine and for the stampkit. a very expensive hobby, those little stamps.

    • @Fotobella
      @Fotobella  9 лет назад +1

      +PinkFleetwood You have a great eye! We did notice the line when we put together the video, we had scratched the surface of the stamp material when making the video (you can see at about 1:50). You do have to be careful not to touch the stamp material like that before putting it through the machine. You can see the other sample stamp images don't have the same issue. Definitely a good tip to get out there.

    I bought a mint, and so far feeling like I wasted my money. There's no information anywhere about what file type to use, or how to actually get it from your computer to the mint. I have hundreds of different file types of images in my computer already, including plenty of PNG images that I created for my business (which is what I bought this thing for), and when I open the files I get NOTHING. I can't drag a photo I can't find if Mint doesn't recognize any of the typical files a computer uses. Not impressed.....yet.

      I just clicked and dragged a PNG file in Mint Studio, works as it should. You got a manual and a CD with your Mint. Read the manual. Install Mint Studio (from the CD or from Silhouette's website) and there you go. They have tutorial videos on their website too.
