    Hi!! I just wanted to second your opinion about the Mint. I bought one to create a stamp for my logo and it worked great! Because I was even able to use all three colours I have in my logo! It was more difficult to get and yes a bit Pricey but totally worth it!

    Thanks for showing us that small, detailed cuts won't work with this stamping kit for cameo. Thanks!

    After my own experience the stamp kit doesnt work with the silhouette portrait. I dont know if the following portraits have moveable rolls, if yes they would work fine.
    My Portrait had one of that rolls on the material and pushed it foreward like a wave. What resulted in a horrible cut. You can load the stampmaterialmat exactly that way, that the rolls are not on the material but you cant tell the software to cut all two cm to the left. So you have to waste a bit of the material and cant make one big stamp from it.
    When I asked Silhouette about this problem they answered like I was the first one to have it. They have sent me a complete new Stampkit.
    And in the crafter community I learned that there were many other people having this problem and that Silhouette knew that for a long time. Instead of changing the settings in the software for portrait they decided to do nothing at all. What killed my trust in Silhouette. But I still use my Portrait and am waiting for my cameo4 to be delivered. Witch that I will finally be able to use my stampkits up, yay.
    The mint in my opinion is a good idea but there is way to much material waste comming from making one stamp.
    Plastikwaste, inkwaste, paperwaste...
    In these times every piece is to much, we have to akt environmentally friendly.

    What is the largest size stamp that can be created with the Mint? I can't find that answer anywhere on their website. Thanks for the comparison, it was very valuable!

      Hi, Kathy! The largest size stamp sheet that's currently available for the Mint is 45mm x 90mm, or a little over 1.75 inches x 3.5 inches.

    Hi Kristen, thanks again for another informative video. I am curious to know if you have had any experience with drawing an image, bringing into the software for each and creating a stamp. Thank you for taking the time to produce great videos!

      Hi, Donna! Would you be drawing the images with pen and paper and scanning them or photographing them, or would you be drawing the images in software? I haven't tried this myself, but it's a great idea, and I think it's doable. You'll just need to make sure that the image(s) that you're opening in the Mint software are compatible file types (I've used PNG files several times without a problem) and that they're high contrast (black and white) images that have been cleaned up (stray lines, dust specks, etc removed) before you open them in Mint.
      What you might also want to consider if you'll be drawing the images and scanning /photographing them (if the images aren't too complex) is to first open them in Silhouette Studio, trace them, fill the traced images with black, and save them as Silhouette Studio files. From there, you can open them in the Mint software and use them.

    Great video! Can you use the stamps on the Misty stamp tool or do you have to mount them on a block?

      Thanks, Janine! I haven't tried the stamps with a stamping tool, but I have the Tim Holtz/Tonic tool pre-ordered and am definitely planning on making a video showing the results with the Mint stamps. Stay tuned!

    You can use the stamp kit with the curio although I did not get good results it cut perfectly but ink beaded up and stamped blotchy (im hoping to find out why by watching)

    • @kdotbecca
      @kdotbecca  5 лет назад

      Angela Caig - Thanks for sharing your experience with the stamp kit and the Curio. The beading / blotchy stamping issue does mostly seem to be because of the material that the stamp sheet in the kit is made of.

      @@kdotbecca thanks for video and replying I had used dye stamps (all that I owned) but I have a couple of pigment now I will try again
      Now on a more exciting note how excited are you for the cameo 4? I am definitely going to upgrade probably just the 12 inch version can't wait

      @@RubyGloomy Yes, I am so excited about the new Cameo machines! I think I'm going to hold out for either the Plus or Pro so I can get a wider cutting area, but all of the excitement this past week about the Cameo 4 launch makes me want it, too. ;) Gotta be patient until the launch of the other machines!

    Do u need a brand new block for eat mint stamp u make?

    • @kdotbecca
      @kdotbecca  7 лет назад +3

      Hi, Claire! No, you do not need a new block for each stamp. Once you have a block for a certain size, you can slide the stamp mounts of that size on and off, as needed, and store them separately. You can see an example in video at the following link at around the 7:35 mark: ruclips.net/video/fbeoHBkR0fY/видео.html

    Hi. Which ink brand do you recommend for fabric? And can withstand washes.Thanks

      Michael C - I haven't tested inks on fabric, so I can't make any recommendations. But here's a post that I found that has test results for a number of different inks on fabric : www.crafttestdummies.com/comparison-of-stamp-pad-inks-on-fabric/ Hope it helps!

    Thank you for the helpful video! Your fingers make me cringe because you either have or will eventually have swan neck deformity on your fingers! You need some ring splints to prevent your fingers from hyperextending all the time! If you have other hypermobile joints you need them checked!
