I'd count it not charging any faster as a good thing since it'll extend the lifespan of the batteries. A lot of the different kinds of fast charging will really batter the technology.

@@cokaneds Well, it mainly affects lower quality batteries that haven't been rated for charging at a particular rate, but it will still put more strain on any battery regardless. Device manufacturers these days don't really care about longevity as much as they care about making you buy the newer version in 12 months, so the lifespan being shortened is not high on their list of priorities (they're still likely to last a year before the capacity drops off a cliff).

It's not a massive concern unless you want to keep using the same battery daily for several years though, by which time the controller may have worn out anyway, & it's nowhere near as bad as overcharging. You can also quite easily replace the internal batteries yourself if you do kill one; I've got replacements for mouse batteries off eBay for example, & none are custom-fabricated.

Just got mine today. Nice and clean look. No led indicator but that's fine because the dualsense touch pad shows how it's charging and when its finished
It’s really useful you can have one controller charged ready to go when the other one gets low just swap them out keep on gaming. No cords to plug into the console

@@tf_r15 when charging there’s an orange light once it stops charging the light goes out. Plus you can’t overcharge a battery once it’s charged it can’t hold anymore charge and I’m sure these chargers are tested to shut off and not provide anymore currant once fully charged

Just purchased one seems to work fine. Only issue I’ve found is that it doesn’t seem to fit snuggly into the slots like my ps4 pro controllers did in the enegizer dock I had.

The controllers dont hold very well at all on to the charging station. If I lean the charging station to the left or right the controllers will fall off easily.
Only reason I just like a USB is it can update my controller and can switch remotes out when they die. So the kit doesn’t make sense to me but it’s badass

The fact that it doesn't connect to the ps5 is a huge plus, otherwise the ps5 would always have to be in rest mode. For me thats a huge pain in the ass when all I want to do is charge the controller instead of completely shutting it off for the night.

Yeah, I’d say this is a purchase if you have at least two controllers. Charge one and play with the other and go back and forth it. It’s really a solid purchase.
So when you're playing and one goes dead. Can you put it on the charger and grab the other one that is charged? And by grabbing the other charged controller, does one have to do anything so that the system recognizes or realizes that you are using another controller?
you still need to press ps button on your new controller. it don't work as seamless as you described. at that price point I expected more like magnetic fit or feature you mentioned before. but it really is just a charger and nothing more. a regular dualsense already had feature where it stops charging after it's full no matter what charger you use. I tested it, and the dualsense itself is already smart. so this charging station is just a decoration and acts the same as regular charger

eh, it's hard to give this a go. they could at least makes it magnetic so placing it on the station felt more premium and easy. my mi band 5 (cheap smartwatches) had this mechanic, where the charger clips unto the watch magnetically. the fact that it's wobbly af when placing dualsense controller makes it so bad

This charging dock is alot tidier option than a usb cable hanging from the front of the PS5.

My PS4 charger had lights on the charger it go red when battery is low then orange when half charged then blue when full charged I kinda liked that

They force kind of force you to get a dock especially if you have more than 2 controllers. They can be annoying to sit in the dock too

It lays horizontal, so I would wall mount a stand that stick out, cut it too size and lay dock on top of it.
