A bit of silly reason but the 22 inch is the most recommended in my opinion. Solely cause if you just wanna start out, then most likely you'll find only the 22 inch board. Our second hand had 22 inch, regular skateboard and a longboard. At a sixth of the cost of a brand new one.

Sorry I meant to comment on this profile about the 22" OG penny boardbuild that will change your mind and maybe even make you fallin love with the type. The build is actually a very much more evolved version of the 22", but it still stays true to the actual size, but I like mine with the kick and concaved surface.. I just add grip tape to make it actually usable because that plastic is so slippery, especially when wet, its such a suprise that people even took off with the trend. I do feel like toy's r us and the "little kids first board that doesnt actually ride but is SOOOOO CUTE", probably factored in to a lot of the sales, but when wally world took them on , that man became a millionaire overnight, lol. Anyways so here is the build vod is made for it: ruclips.net/video/IBpQ5scFK30/видео.html
I had a 22" Penny when I was a kid, but I stopped after hurting myself at extremely high speeds. I had a lot of experience cruising with it but i touched sand on the road and I fell really bad. So I was terrified using them for a while. After some time I wanted to get back to it but it was extremely dirty so I couldn't do anything. Now after years I want to buy a new one but Idk if I should buy the 22" or the 27"
Oh dang... Ya sand can make it very sketchy. I usually recommend the 27" since it has a little more deck space, but if portability is important to you, the 22"
Gotcha, if you want to do ollies here and there, but mostly cruise, get the 32”. It’s shaped like a traditional skateboard and will be easier to learn tricks on than a 27”
i got the relay back in august which is the same shape but with a different graphic and i absolutely love it, its currently my cruiser of choice to get to place A to B and do some tricks along the way like ollie up curbs and some casual kickflips but nothing super advanced. its an amazing board and i hope you love it as much as i do
If you want a point A to point B cruiser that can fit in a backpack, then get the traditional penny. Otherwise, name brand plywood boards are a better value than the other Penny brand products.
Im 6’2 a wear a size 12 shoe. 22inch is better then the 27inch in my opinion and this is why. I’ve had both boards since they came out and the 22inch is easier to take places and it’s super fun to ride, 27inch has better stability and you can do tricks but other then that the 22inch is better at everything. I actually got rid of my 27inch and gave it to a friend that rides a 22inch and he hated the 27inch, not as fun in my opinion. For people like me that work everyday this thing is amazing, I can take my 22inch an skate everywhere

I wear size 8 sometimes 7.5 and I am just looking for a larger one because I want it to last longer. Smaller penny board worked when I was younger cause I was like size 5 but now years later it’s just not cutting it out for me anymore.
I did byed 22inch, fell 2 times in short period, feel that bord too small to me 40-41size of feet. So I give it to woman that have 2 boys 8,11 and they enjoy it, I gave them too secure stuff. So i purchase yesterday NKX 27inch cruiser(hope this one is better for size of my feet and comfortable to use), price is very close to penny cruisers, but there was big discount on one of colors, happily I liked that combinations of colors gray board with red transparent wheels (it costs me 39,95€+15€, but normally price was over 100 euro). But I did buy it as bord for traveling, because I have also Apollo longboard Weird 100cm long. Because 22inch, is not so stable for beginner. So as first board longboard is moost secure to buy, as grand board. If someone use NKX plastic cruisers or Apollo longboards, give me your toughts about your experience of it. Thanks for feedback
Hey! Really great video. I loved all the details and descriptions you gave for each board. I’m a college student. I have the 22” Penny board but like you said, it feels too small sometimes and I don’t feel super comfortable riding over cracks like on the sidewalk and stuff. It also seems like I have to keep on pushing a lot just to get some momentum. So it feels like I’m pushing more than actually riding if that makes sense. I am looking for something that I can use around campus but something that’s relatively easy to carry around like while walking or bringing it with me on the bus. What would you recommend? The 27”, 32”, or 36”? I’m also not super interested in tricks. I mean, I wouldn’t mind learning like one or two but that’s not my main concern. What would you recommend? I’d mostly be using it for transportation. Thank you so much!
I’m thinking of getting 22” or 27” but I can’t decide because I’m not that tall and my shoe size is a 37 in Europe sizes. I like the feel of the penny board 22” that I tried at a shop but I think it might get too small so I need help deciding
I really appreciate this video! It's super clear and concise for someone who has never skateboarded before. Do you have any recommendations for a beginner board? I'm hoping to use it to get around campus and for cruising around with my dog. I have pretty small feet so I was leaning towards a 27', but now I'm not so sure because I'm guessing it could be a pretty bumpy ride with a dog pulling me!
Yes I think so. The 29” will feel more snappy since the smaller wheelbase. If you want a larger setup, then I’d recommend putting carver CX trucks on a longer board. Just depends what riding feel you’re looking for
looks like Nickel is the go-to model for cruising around the city. I previously owned Powerslide's Choke which is a Penny replica, but the tail snapped unfortunately.
@@owenstone2755 If you're set on Penny, then I would avoid the 22". I'd either go with the 27" or 36". The 36" is going to be easier to balance on since it's longer. If you need something more portable, then go with the 27"
Size 12 and I love my Nickel. The Penny is too tiny for me to feel comfortable, but its super easy to take wherever you want. The Nickel is still easy to carry around by hand or in your car, but in most backpacks I found it takey up too much space. The Others are too big for my taste, defeating the purpose for me
Hey! Love this it helped a lot and all! But I’m still unsure witch one to get I’m looking for a good board to just ride around on and stuff but I’m a beginner
I'd either go with the 27" Nickel board or the 36" Longboard. If you want something more portable, then the 27" is a better option, otherwise the 36" will be more stable. If you have any other questions, lmk - happy to help!
debating between the 32” and the 39” recently been wanting to get back into skating, but am mostly looking to just cruise around. would you say primarily the difference between the two since they’re both the most cruiser like is just the size difference?
That's awesome you're getting back into skating! Yes, the main difference is the size, but also the 32" has much thinner wheels. So if you want something that's gonna be the easiest and you don't care about size, then go with the 36". Another option would be to check out a Landyachtz Dinghy - they're well made wooden boards that are great for cruising
Great video! It was very informative but I still doubt that If I’m a beginner and I just want to cruise around here and there but do no tricks should I get the 27’ or....?
Here is my main question: what does the 32" penny board have to offer that would make it more desirable than a regular 32" maple or bamboo deck longboard?
I usually tell people to just go for the 32" maple or bamboo instead since you can actually pop it better if you're gonna do tricks. Plus I prefer the overall feel better

I would get the 27” to have some aspect of portability
I’m thinking of getting 22” or 27” but I can’t decide because I’m not that tall and my shoe size is a 37 in Europe sizes. I like the feel of the penny board 22” that I tried at a shop but I think it might get too small so I need help deciding
I really appreciate this video! It's super clear and concise for someone who has never skateboarded before. Do you have any recommendations for a beginner board? I'm hoping to use it to get around campus and for cruising around with my dog. I have pretty small feet so I was leaning towards a 27', but now I'm not so sure because I'm guessing it could be a pretty bumpy ride with a dog pulling me!
thanks man you realy helped me decied
hey is the 29inch the easiest to turn on ?
I’m a girl and I have the nickel board and leme tell you it works GREAT I’m a size 10 btw
thank you so much for this video oml
Of course! And thanks for watching 😎🤙🏼
So would you say the 29” is better to practice surfing vs the 36” with a front adaptor
Yup, the Nickel is a common cruiser! That sucks the tail snapped on your Powerslide. The material probably isn't as strong as Pennys
It it possible to put a waterborne surf adapter on a 22 penny board?
THANKS BRO I'M GETTING THE NICKEL
Good video
What’s better for cruisin and transportation around campus, the 22” or the surfskate? I only have access to those two :)
I’m a size 12 what board do you recommend?
Depends... what type of riding will you be doing?
Shred Shack cruising
@@owenstone2755 If you're set on Penny, then I would avoid the 22". I'd either go with the 27" or 36". The 36" is going to be easier to balance on since it's longer. If you need something more portable, then go with the 27"
Shred Shack thanks!
@@owenstone2755 Happy to help!
I got a 22 inch penny board bc am 10 and I am short ye is a perfect fit for me
This video helped alot tbh
Size 12 and I love my Nickel.
The Penny is too tiny for me to feel comfortable, but its super easy to take wherever you want.
The Nickel is still easy to carry around by hand or in your car, but in most backpacks I found it takey up too much space.
The Others are too big for my taste, defeating the purpose for me
just wear it in the straps of your backpack instead!
I like the penny surf board.
I was wanting a board for going to school about 2-3 km away on some sketch paths just wondering what should I buy
Probably the 27" nickel
Get the nickel you won't regret it
I ride to town from my friends house in the country about 5 miles or so up medium hills with my 22" tony hawk penny
hows the riding experience, and what’s your shoe size?
Great vids! And I like your Short Hair better! (Landyachtz review). =)
U deserve all the views :)
debating between the 32” and the 39” recently been wanting to get back into skating, but am mostly looking to just cruise around. would you say primarily the difference between the two since they’re both the most cruiser like is just the size difference?
That's awesome you're getting back into skating! Yes, the main difference is the size, but also the 32" has much thinner wheels. So if you want something that's gonna be the easiest and you don't care about size, then go with the 36". Another option would be to check out a Landyachtz Dinghy - they're well made wooden boards that are great for cruising
What kind of scate or longboard would you suggest for city ridding... like in chicago
Thanx bro helped alots 🤙🏾
No problem! Stoked to hear that
Great video! It was very informative but I still doubt that If I’m a beginner and I just want to cruise around here and there but do no tricks should I get the 27’ or....?
great video!
Here is my main question: what does the 32" penny board have to offer that would make it more desirable than a regular 32" maple or bamboo deck longboard?
I usually tell people to just go for the 32" maple or bamboo instead since you can actually pop it better if you're gonna do tricks. Plus I prefer the overall feel better
nothing tbh. won't get damaged by water and you can ride it with no shoes but thats it
