    I hope this is just an April fools joke or maybe fishing for compliments, because although there are lots of reasons to not do RUclips, personal attacks shouldn’t be one of them. RUclips, and social media in general, does bring out some wackos and sociopaths, but you just need to ignore them and do your thing.

    I hope this was an April Fool’s video! If not, then I wish you the best in your new direction. Regarding trolls, remember the old adage about avoiding wrestling with pigs (“you just get dirty and the pigs enjoy it”). Regarding the banjo, remember the old joke about the difference between a banjo and a chain saw (“the chain saw has a wider tonal range”). Please keep us informed of your next step(s) - your material and attention to detail need to be available to us! 👏

Just a suggestion, keep posting to at least advertize your school/teaching! The nay sayers will always be there but dont listen nor pay attention to them. I have a very small community on my channel and have had a few naysayers one even said I sucked. I simply deleted the comment of the Mo Frs and laughed it off. I don't give a rat's ass what they say. I'm in it to enjoy myself with my few subscribers. Any negative non constructive comment is definitely deleted and blocked and the result? I'm still having fun! Screw em Chase! All I can say, is your RUclips channel is great! And has educated a lot of people to a higher level of playing because of your devotion to this channel! Don’t worry what anybody says about you, words are only words. keep that spiritual shield up and don’t let them affect you in any way, shape or form, because what you offer, is far greater than what these jealous , evil minded people doing. There’s so much in your videos, and I can’t even imagine how much more you have to offer. This is why I am really shocked by watching this and hope that you reconsider.
    With your ability, I am sure you will do amazing things with the banjo and I am happy for you for it. the amount of people you’re reaching now is amazing and everybody that comes here wants to be here to learn from you. Keep this in mind. sticks and stones never had an effect on me. I support you with whatever you decide Chase. You’re a good teacher and seem like a nice person. Peace.

    Hi Chase, if this were true it would be a real loss as your chanel is extremely helpful. However, in line with some of the comments and based on the date of this posting (April 1st), I would suggest that you take your pursuit of the secret one chord further. As you note the one chord approach is 50% better than the secret 2 chord approach, I therefore suggest that you pursue the one note approach. It would be 200% better than even the one chord approach (assuming that you do not include extensions, where the benefit would be even greater). As a bass player, I am used to pedal notes using a single note over different chords, perhaps you can help with applying this to the guitar (or Banjo 😂). It would also be very much in line with Jobim's classic song on the subject ("This is just a little samba. Built upon a single note"). Cheers! 🤣🤣🤣

  • @bluezach244
    @bluezach244 6 месяцев назад

    Chase, here's the problem. If it's a joke, we (or, perhaps I) don't have the necessary background to get it. I mean, I've never suspected you of irony, I've never seen the slightest evidence of it. OTOH, Benson on the banjo does sound exceedingly weird, Bela Fleck notwithstanding. The whole part about the emotional impact on your friends and family and yourself was very convincing, and I wouldn't have thought you were a good actor. So, if this is a joke, congratulations on a very convincing performance, another arrow in your quiver of talents.
    Another interpretive problem, if you were interested in the banjo, if you're a budding virtuoso on the banjo, that would help to explain the inclusion of Jonathan Stout, if that's his name, on your channel. Don't get me wrong, he's great at what he does. I recently saw a video of a duet of Tommy Emmanuel and Molly Tuttle playing a bluegrass tune, and it was great, really impressive musicianship, but I have no plans to attend a bluegrass concert anytime soon.
    All I can say is, I really hope it's a joke. I do hope to see you in the Academy in the future.

  • @RobTeeJr
    @RobTeeJr 6 месяцев назад

    I suggest you take it a step farther and apply all that you learned over the years to the Diddly Bow. Just imagine applying the Benson method to a instrument with just one string. Forget the Two Chord Method or the One Chord method with the Diddly Bow its been reduced to the One Note method.
    Imagine the Pat Martino conversion to minor on the Diddly Bow although you might have to become ambidextrous and play two Diddly Bow at simultaneously at the same time. That's something that I sure Maestro Farrell hasn't mastered.
    As far as myself, I am so far above you @sshats that it is unbelievable. Not only have I mastered the Two Chord, One Chord and the one note method, I have perfected the no chord and no note method. Can't you hear my masterful riffing? BTW I will happily sell you my instruction book for the measly price of $1500 dollars. Plus I'll throw in for no cost a video of me calling you a @ss hat. It a deal that is too good to pass up.

In key of C, the notes of the F melodic minor include the F (minor 3rd of the ii) and E (3rd of the I) and then the first two notes of the G alt, G and Ab. It all makes sense.

You are a positive force on YT and have great things to contribute to the jazz guitar community.. If there are other musicians and people that have an issue with your approach, , so be it. Banjo & George Benson, on April 1st leaves room for hope 🎉
    That being said, I have seen a youtuber start from Zero and grow up to tour numbers. It’s like kayaking UP the Niagara River.
    Besides that, as long as you don’t cause intentional harm, the only critique one should let affect you, is CONSTRUCTIVE critique.
    Some guy, calling you names, bad moutging you or calling you a “looser”, is something that you ought NEVER allow to affect you to the point of calling it quits. And that’s not only about online things, it’s my life experience.
    If the numbers are not yielding worth your effort, maybe you need to change something or give it more time and maybe team up with some of the ones which became successful at this youtube thing.
    I am convinced that you have a bright future ahead of yourself.
    … JD.

    Hello Chase, I'm Daniel from Argentina, I'm using the translator so I hope you understand the meaning of the message...this is the starting point where you should not abandon the channel and much less the people who have trusted you and your classes that are very valuable, if you do it you will be throwing overboard everything that you built with effort, do not let others get away with it, you have plenty of talent and you have not yet started to use it, it says that the boat does not advance if it does not have the resistance of water and the bird if it does not have the resistance of air, then let the haters be that resistance but how would you move forward? , don't disappoint the people who are anxiously waiting every day for your classes on this beautiful channel... everyone who reads this comment, let's share this channel and make it grow so Chase moves forward... all this is growth and change and many times growth is painful but then you see the fruits of our work....endurance Chase, endurance Argentina, endurance Messi...God bless you friend I send you a hug! !!

    Please don't quit. U are the only one who is able to dissect lines very well. It is on your channel I got to know how lines are even formed or created. I will try and retrieve the title of that video and let u know. We always hear jazz guys always improvising but how these lines are created have been a mystery. I am typing from Ghana in West Africa. It should tell u how your impact has been felt across the globe. Your videos are great and unique. Why do u have to quit because of Farrel who finds it difficult to get his message across. I have tried several times to follow him and make meaning out of his lesson but i have still not made any headway. Keep doing the great work. Kudos. Hope u change your mind.

    One word... Pat Cloud. Check out Higher Power (1983). He calls it his "journey to 2-5-1". Chase has taken the simple path.
