i heard from some sources that he was only asking for like $4-5 million which would've been very respectable. If I were them I would've done like 3-4 years for $4.5 meet in the middle not too much/long. And tbh I would've done it in may or even august or september last year. The problem was the lack of transparency. I am glad heddy got extended but i prolly would've given maybe $7 millon over $8 million to him then sign guentzel to maybe $6.5 million so all could've likely have been kept and stammer wouldn't have felt left out

@@paulshockeychannel105 yessirrr my pleasure. A generational type player right up there with crosby and ovi as the most popular player of his generation i mean based on his style of play and consistency he's basically ovi 2.0. And he single handedly revived the bolts when they were struggling and building around him a the years went on helped increase the load. And ofc he made players around him better. I know many players like kuch, heddy, killer, tyler johnson, etc. St. Louis even said not long ago that he was the reason why he was able to stay productive and relevant well into his mid 30s or late 30s before getting traded to the rangers in 2014. It was overall an opportunity to see a player play whole career with one team.
