I'm 39 and feel 39 and perimenopause along with all the autoimmune problems and gut health problems that come with almost 40 is crazy! I used to be able to eat whatever I want. Now anything unhealthy has a side effect and a lot of healthy food has side effects too. You'll both be 39 soon. It happens in the blink of an eye!

I think the “eat a cheeseburger” comment to skinny people is more about just not wanting people to talk about your body in a negative way in general. That’s not the same as telling someone they look healthy and great, it’s still a negative comment by nature so I think the point is just: don’t talk about other people’s bodies period. If you said that to someone who’s anorexic and really struggles with eating, it’s probably not going to be helpful and it might even be triggering. So people should just not say anything about other people’s bodies or weight no matter what they look like.

@@ryanandbeccaproject yeah. it seems like one of those books that just states the obvious, and if you already feel like the world (the US) is over-therapized, then all the book will do is just reinforce that and make you more frustrated with society. Not something I need in my life XD
