Pretty cool recovery concept/tool. Just a thought but maybe if he used a rectangular (2”x4”) piece of steel to the tip of the “claw” (like a foot), it might help distribute some of the pressure and minimize the bending. I like the idea and might make myself one. Thanks for the video.
Looks like it will straighten out with enough pressure. Reason it wasn’t digging into soil is b/c of the design. No digging on your part. Go buy the real deal.
Man I like this good info. I'm building a recovery kit. How do you feel about a 90 isuzu trooper? Are they common easy to get parts for in your area? Can't afford toyota land crusier or a land rover prices!
Man that shank is a fat b i t c h. It won’t never dive under the ground to produce good holding power. I would rather buy better manufactured boat anchor.
I support almost anyone fabricating in Alaska. Excellent reporting.

Great point!
Put a rope on the bottom shackle so you can pull the anchor back out of the ground . In soft ground they will bury themselves deep .
Thats awesome midnight sun fixed it up for u. I have one too and it wont work in every situation but its a great tool to carry.
Need more testing
Pretty cool design. I like the takedown aspect. I would definitely be asking for the reinforced plate option. Good review Nu!
Handy piece of equipment. Thanks for the video and information.
Thank you for pointing out the bend after using it for what it's made for, +1!
You bet!
Nice Anchor bro next year we might need it
Pretty sweet score. 😎
With Megatron it’s not the greatest angle and it pulls out of the ground. Pull pal is not great and mine sheared right off itself.
That’s a cool tool to have, didn’t know such things existed 😆
cool stuff. hardcore

A link to the product or even the shop would be a great addition to a gear review…. Just sayin

I miss my old isuzu trooper, they have support and parts are often interchangable
