    I am yet again, left speechless! Not one off-road recovery channel can accomplish a 80,000lbs dump truck recovery with a single man crew, and a single rig, modified jeep gladiator.
    Look at some of the insane equipment, and massive crew HeavyD uses it's just embarrassing when your crushing these recoveries single handly and driving your rig to the site, not trailering it in. Honestly speechless.

      Yeah sounds like these ppl haven’t a clue. It’s a problem I’ve encountered before. Wrap a chain around the chassis next to the front drive axle and at an angle from the truck going forward with either the dozer or excavator which ever is bigger and pull the weight over and forward as you go so it can’t roll over. These blokes are just playing.

I'm surprised that other towing companies failed to use this basic engineering principle and failed where you succeeded. Great for your business not so good for theirs.

      We been looking at mats for awhile
      They are called ground protection mats
      Anywhere from $300/piece to $5,000/piece
      Depending on style and size you get
      The big ones float on water and hook together and you can drive like 200,000lbs across them

    • @Fed-Dog
      @Fed-Dog 3 месяца назад

      Landing mats are a WWII relic and were exactly that, pieces of steel you could hinge together to make a runway. There are still thousands of them laying around. They're big, heavy and about indestructible. The first two are the disqualifier.

    Amazing and informative video!!! I don't know Florida weight laws, but. Are you sure it is 80,000 pounds? In Minnesota I have a truck like that, legal maximum gross weight of my truck is 54,000 pounds with an axel spacing of 24' between the center of the front axel and the center of the rear axel. This also conforms to Federal weight laws. Also trucks have a manufacturers maximum gross vehicle weight, that you can be fined for exceeding. To gross a truck at 79,000 pounds would require 7 axels with 32' between the center of the front axel and the center of the rear axel. Running a truck overweight like that will drastically shorten the trucks life.

    You know what you're doing. I love your videos. Always want you to get this stuff out. And people are like all he aint going to next thing. You know, a big expensive tow truck, didn't get him out.
