I finally bought a 2022 1250 GS Adventure in October 2022. In 18 months I’ve put 12,000 miles on it, and it is hands down the best overall bike I’ve ever owned in over 25 years of motorcycling. My only regret is not buying a GS earlier.
Hear hear. We have the same bike, and sure it was expensive, but it's also the best bike I've ever owned and probably will ever own. :D
My parents 50/51 years both have a GS310. Amazing daily commuter, super comfortable, more than enough power for city riding and a way better starting point for anyone interested in a GS.
OC
In my humble opinion, there is no motorcycle that is easier to ride than the GS !
The rs is a good ride too just a smidge more leaned forward
Easiest bike I’ve ridden.
Also S1000RR is the easiest RR by far 😊❤
OC: Welcome to the BMW club. I wasn’t a boxer fan either, was shopping for bikes a few years ago to get back riding and a coworker said I should test an RT. Wasn’t really feeling it. Tried a Concours and it was nice but a bit too heavy. Tested an RT and half a mile in, I knew it was going home with me. Yes, even the RT can lift up the front tire, and there is not way they should ride as light as a they do. Put it on the highway and set the cruise between 70-80 and it’ll purr all day in its happy place. Take it on the back roads and it’ll play in the corners like it’s a second home. Will I own an GS? Possibly, but I keep looking toward the GSA for some reason (probably the extra miles in the larger tank).
Just pulled over to eat lunch and saw this pop up in my feed! That colorway is fire ❤️🔥
Love my 1250GS. I agree about the quick shifter being abrupt from first to second during sedate riding. However, if you're riding aggressive and get up high in the revs it's almost butter smooth when you actually need it to be. Most reviewers rightfully don't push it in the way (some) owner's would and miss that. Glad you got to ride my favorite! (check out any backcountry discovery route on it!)
Chase, thank you for being the first RUclipsr to do an honest to goodness, no biased review on the GS. You shared with the world why I fell in love with mine.
Loved the editing! Very attention getting and great opportunity to sneak in ads without killing the vibe! Excellent motorcycle review at usual!
Rode one for first time two weeks ago. Today I bought a mint 2018 r1200gs with 5500 miles. Loving it. Worth every dollar.
Had a lot of the same reactions when I bought my GS. Long overdue first ride. Great job.
I love WOW Motorcycles as well. Got my first motorcycle from them back in October. Great dudes and a whole lot of bikes to spend a lot of time looking at lol.
Was waiting for one of those. Nice
Also, the trick with the quick shifter on the GS is to kick it like an old tractor when you just want it to start 😂😂
Absolutely LOVE the spec graphics at the beginning.
Cool to see a first time gs video, definitely wanna try one some day even tho an 850 would be plenty
Great video, I love my ‘21 GS ❤
OC always my dream bike! Pacific coast ride!!
Hey Chase, couple of things you are riding a GS standard so the gas tank is 5 gallons, the pegs are stock 719 option which came on the 40th anniversary model, also the lower lights are aftermarket. If you contact me I might be able to arrange ride on the R1300GS
Finally a GS 🙌
Man that bike is set up really nice. But my question is which bike do you like riding bettered which bike wold you own. The Triumph Tiger 1200 or the GS?
Rode the ‘22 Adventure model and fell in love. It’s the Swiss Army knife of bikes. Unfortunately I can’t afford it lol. Maybe one day.
I went with the 1250rs and love it but I'm really wanting to get a GS soon. I want to be more comfortable on longer rides.
I love my '23 r1250GSA. The best bike ever. It can do anything but its not the best at everything.
Im surprised chase hasnt ridden a F800 also. Be nice to see that covered by him for folks who kight want a bike like this but cant afford this.
I have loved riding the Africa twin and really hope to get to ride a GS to compare😁
I like how it sounds 👍🏿
Love the yellow
Hopefully u can get ur hands on new model n compare!
Hey can u make a video on the new fireblade sp 2024
Great review man. I got a chance to ride the BMW R1250 last year. Quite the bike!
I know i'm being annoying but which one? There is GS, RT, RS and R
@getty6974 true lol. I rode the GS and GSA.
😂😂😂Superb, was pissing myself with your video, you’re hilarious (I’m baked)🥴. Actually may buy one of these coming from a Tuono😏. It’s the GS or Multistrada for me
OC: a trip to oregon would be dope to see on the GS cross country tour
what kind of crash bar is this? haven’t seen one that fits over the option 719 cylinder head..
This bike is Hitting all levels of Performance!
WOW motorsports in cobb county GA - a great place to purchase a bike
I reckon my next bike will be a 1250 GSA, just turned 40. Time to accept my fate
Try S1000RR and you will be in your 20's again 😊❤
S1000xr is a happy compromise
OC: I've always seen all the hype online. But being a poor never really looked at a GS as a possible bike. Would love to test ride one tho 🤙🏼
Where are you at?
Lol, I call it the bumblebee!
The front and rear brake are connected so that’s why it doesn’t feel real Bitey 60% front 40% rear. OC: I I would challenge you to take the BMW GS 1250 R and come up to Niagara Falls from Georgia.
Make a video in r1250gs adventure
You should give the R1250R a chance. 100 pounds less with all that torque
OC Great video but I could never justify the initial cost not to mention the cost of maintenance!!!!!!!!! BMW makes it very difficult for the owner to do their own maintenance, I love riding but not at that price.
whatever people have made the GS is this and that you have to agree the GS is a very unique bike in the category and everyone knows what a GS is. Old man's bike with teenage umppf that's the GS
Great Bike! it's not expensive a Superduke 1390 is expensive and you have to be creative to use it.
Had several GSA, best touring bike ever. Luggage on it, load it up and go wherever. Good for miiiiles, many bike in the hundred thousands of miles on them. Why did you not take out the police bikes they have? 😅
I have ridden the GS and the 1250R (the naked streetfighter bmw makes with the same engine) my next bike to test is the RT which is the sport touring version both bmws i have ridden have been extremely smooth
Personally having ridden all of The r1250's, to me GS is the ultimate vehicle on that platform. All the others feel somehow wrong. RS and R has a typical suspension setup compared to telelever on GS and RT. I thought i'd like RS and R more but there is way better naked bikes than R and RS feels like an odd duck. Then we have RT with 17's front and rear and more fairing which i thought in theory should translate into a better street bike than GS. For me RT feels way more heavier to manouver and sitting position feels way more goofy than on GS.
Thank you @@getty6974 good to know I think the new RTs have the same telelever suspension In the front the RS I believe has normal suspension but I don't think that would be the bike for me. Still need to demo them both though before I make a decision
@@zerocool6370 RT and GS has always been more or less The same bike. RT being sport touring with 17" front and rear wheel. Also fairings and less ground clearance. GS has 19"/21" front depends on options and more ground clearance and less wind protection. Both have telelever. RS/R have normal suspension. Telelever is good for comfort, bad for high end performance. So telelever is really good for honestly 90% of your average bikers.
@@getty6974 most of my riding is backroads and highway jumps (600km) or so I currently have a Kawasaki Vulcan S 650 which for most riding is okay but for the long highway trips gets very tiresome and it has the power to keep up with traffic but not as much as I would like almost anything would be an improvement
@@zerocool6370 i've personally done 400km's a day 2 up on a r1250gs and had 0 fatigue after that trip.
This is a 2021 not a 2023
“He’s a cop!!”
the last big gs and the 1300 looks like a v strom just to much bullshit
Meow meow meow
I do like the GS and the Multistrada v4 BUT unfortunately they look like bloated wingless land mosquitoes 🦟
Super teneree is just as capable and half the price.
