Who’s Here after the wizards draft
Who is having Jan Vesley flashbacks
@@maba987 not the same but okay.
@@maba987 Jan literally didn’t shoot only drove
@@maba987 I definitely did
PTSD smh
I am
Best content on the ringer hands down.
This guy used to have his own channel that was great but he never got any views. I’m happy he got picked up by the ringer
J Kyle Mann and Ben Taylor are the NBA YT MVPs
Genuinely my favourite basketball videos on the internet. Id follow this guy to the end if he had his own channel 😬
He should leave the ringer
The only content I watch on here
J. Kyle Mann needs to be featured on a Ringer NBA pod (preferably give him his own) every week! He's too good to not be used more!
I still miss the Dime Drop channel.😭 Glad you transferred over the aesthetic and style to The Bill Simmons network... I mean the ringer lol
Same here i miss it too. There was so much scouting report there compared here.
Seriously do more of this every draft
My guy J. Kyle Mann killing it. Gotta bring back the dime drop player comp cloud
This guy is fantastic. I miss the dime drop. Can see why the ringer scooped him up so fast
Whyd he stop doing dime drop?
@@jaredgould788 Because he got hired by The Ringer and now does content for them
Who’s here after the wizards took him
Yessir!!! Hope he doesn’t turn out like Jan Vesley... 🤮
I’m hype as hell
Big risk.. he could be the next Luka or Mario Hezonja.. of course you want Luka 😭
I still want them to re-sign Davis Bertans though.
@@OmahaRiverDonkey I hope the Latvian Laser resigns! We can run a small ball of
Wall
Beal
Avdija
Bertans
Hachimura
Everyone needs to stop comparing him to Luka, Luka was a basketball prodigy
Then why wasn’t he drafted #1 🤣
@@mperformance3502 omg please shut up
Y’all have to stop doubting Europeans prospects, they play with smart
@@mperformance3502 mj, wasnt number 1, neither Kobe, Kawhi and Durant. So your statement ia irrelevant
@@mperformance3502 cuz sun's management sucks, sacramento DIVAC had an issue with his fam 🤣🤣, hawks though they get trae anyways so yeah hope I answer ur question
Seeing this after his rookie year, the accuracy is astounding..
WIZARDS NATION WELCOME HOME BABY!
I'm Israeli and I saw him playing a lot. I don't know enough about this draft class but in a normal draft year he is like 20+ pick. It's craziness he is being talked about as top 5 pick, maybe some GM's have PTSD from Luka.
I think he's the next Dragan Bender/Andrea Bargnani. Whenever a good European prospect comes into the NBA, the league starts looking for the next one and normally jumps the gun
@Doffy Donquixote Deni will be an okay player. He’s not going to be like Luka at all. His ceiling would be Gallinari/Utah Gordon Hayward but he’s not even a good shooter (percentage wise). The original comment is correct. Teams are desperately looking for the next Luka
@Doffy Donquixote I'm not trying to say he's gonna be on the level of Bender or Milicic, I'm just saying that the reason he's being touted so high is because the league wants another Luka. To me he tops out at Lamar Odom or Diaw but I really expect him to be more on the level of Dario Saric cause most teams won't know how to use his playmaking
In a normal draft he's 20+ pick? clown, Omri Casspi who was much worse of a prospect was a 20+ pick. In other words you claim Deni and Casspi are same caliber prospects, which shows how clueless you are. Deni is X3 better prospect.
@Doffy Donquixote what you mean, he has .2% lower than Harden, shoots better than a Lot of 3P shooters in the league and also, he shoots that much because If you close too much on him he is going to have a party infiltrating the lane
I like him as a player but I think I could shoot 58% from the FT line
Its very low sample size...he is bad free throw shooter but he is in the 60s...
@@oror3751 In the Euro League, yes, he's 14/20 in his entire career (2/2 and 12/18 in two seasons), so we can dismiss those number.
On the other hand, in Israel this season he was 50/86 from the line in 28 games (averaging 3.07 a game) which is not exactly a tiny sample size. For a comparison, Tyler Herro went 87/100 this season and that was spread over a lot more games.
Andre Drummand and Dwight Howard were the only players in the league who averaged 3+ FTs a game and were that bad from the line at 57.5% and 51.5% respectively. Hell, even DeAndre Jordan shot 68% from the line this year!
There's no way even a decent shooter should be be under 60% in 28 games which is a decent enough of a sample size for shooters. So that's a bit worrying to me too.
I shot like 88% in highschool and I wasnt even a shooter lol. Never even practiced them either
He shoots worse from the line than Shaq’s career average
Nahhhh
THE DIME DROP BABYYY
Glad to see a nice video man. Your content is the best.
Don't even have to watch it to know I'mma like it.
I see J. Kyle Mann, I like the video. Simpleeeee.
GOAT of the Ringer, ong.
Deni Avdija will be better and better he is a wonderful player and i am sure that he will be all star hey wizards you made a awesome choice
Spot on so far this season! Great work!
He definitely got the Toni Kukoc vibe to him
Hands down the most comprehensive coverage of Deni Avdija I've seen thus far. Great work.
I miss dime drop... I feel homies talent gets lost within everyone else just talking about topics.. RIP the dime drop ima still support you though homie ! Thank you for the upload it’s been a year and i thought you were gone forever 🙏🏼
After seeing you guys let more people in on these videos I had to come back and say: GIVE THIS MAN HIS OWN STUFF. His prospect breakdowns are just leagues ahead of the rest vocally and insight wise right now. We need more J. Kyle Mann
You are the best bits of the Ringer man. You need the dime drop back, it's hard to know when a ringer vid is one of yours or not. Either that or label them "J Kyle Mann"
This dude needs to get his own channel. Best and most consistent draft analysis’s on RUclips
As a Wizards fan I like the pic. I didn’t think he would fall to us but I think he will fit right in!
Excellent video. a follow up on Deni's development so far in his 4th year would be VERY interesting!
More of these. Loved the dime drop, they were essential for drafts!
I like how there is like a 1 min long segment about his effort on the vid. Only in this year’s draft is effort such a big positive (in terms of the top players seeming to have little effort which means that anyone with it has like Jordan’s competitiveness)
Love this my man, beeing from germany its kinda hard 2 keep up with the prospects, except from the big names. Keep up the awesome work!! He looks nice !!
Great video, as always!
Kyle please go back on the Ringer NBA show again please! your recent episode was one of the best! thanks for all the hard work you put into your content!
Less than a minute into this video but gotta just say: Great intro! Well done.
WE NEED MORE OF THESE VIDEOS !!
This was ridiculously well done. J. Kyle Mann is incredible
Deni is my favorite player in this draft and I’m hyped to see this overview
Man I love this content. That last video about Lebron mixed with those insane lofi beats made me feel so nostalgic man
I don't trust a man who can't make his free throws. I remember KOC talking about how FT% is a solid indicator as to whether a player will make the jump to the NBA, but that was focused on collegiate players. I think he has the knowledge and ability to adapt to the NBA, he just needs work learning to shoot off the dribble.
The FT% is concerning. But his shot looks fine, and he has nice touch around the rim. I don't think he'll ever be a great shooter, but I could see him shooting around 35% from 3 on around 3-5 attempts a game in his prime
If he somehow falls to the Spurs, I think Chip Engelland might be able to get his free throw and long range shooting in order, if Deni puts in the work. He is the shooting coach who really helped Kawhi become a great shooter.
@@kristapsvalainis1671 no way he falls to the Spurs. Warriors have a strong dev system for their players
@@thesuperdeduperman I know he won't fall that far. But the fact that the warriors with the splash bros on the roster have the 2nd pick somehow slipped my mind. Might be a good idea for them to draft him to play the Harrison Barnes role
Cmon, I’m not saying he’s good, but FT is just one component. A lot of good shooters suck overall.
Great analysis!
Great vid man
The only reason I stay subbed
Hes gonna be superb in the nba
Don't see star potential, but I think he could be a good role player someday, assuming he develops his shot. If he builds out his frame defensively and develops his 3 point shot, he could become a very important player for a good team.
Agree. I see a Danilo gallinari type player. 16-18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists. Gallo obviously was the better shooter coming into the draft, but I believe in deni’s form
Hezonja type
Could see him being a Lamar Odom or a Dario Saric depending on if the team that drafts him can figure out how to use him right
That's the same thing they say before Luka got drafted.
@@christiandelapena8623 nah people who knew were saying Luka would be a star. Main difference between these two is that Luka was the youngest Euroleague MVP ever, the second best league in the world. Really think people are overrating Deni rn because of Doncic not realizing how much of an anomaly Doncic. Yeah they're both tall european playmakers but Doncic was completely running his team with stepbacks, floaters and an array of offensive moves while also unleashing amazing passes in both the half and full court, all with immense swagger. Doncic is and was different than nearly every every other European prospect we have ever seen
As an Israeli I appreciate this video a lot. Deni is the real deal. As a player hes been special for a long time. Maccabi has a really good player development system, they have been working him A LOT since, well, forever. As a person hes really down to earth and relatable. I don't know him personally and in my opinion the NBA is going to enjoy him, on and off the court.
He going to flourish in the nba
I see him as an nba starter with perhaps an all star appearance or two
I love his voice so smooth
Best content from the ringer
Deni will end up being the best player from the 2020 draft just watch
Wizards got the steal of the draft. I'm shocked he fell to #9.
I have him 2'nd on my big board behind Edwards.
The Dime Drop are the best mock draft videos
I miss that channel. I hope he make new contents again
EDIT: I'm dumb
@@cosmonaaath3884 nah u right, he should leave the ringer and go back
He is yet another player of Serbian origin its amazing how many star players are coming from out small country💪🏻🇷🇸
Aleksej Pokusevski is the youngest player in the draft and has the most potential too. Serbia is amazing at Basketball for a small nation.
The ''Plavi''(Yugoslavian) school of basketball was one of the best in the world. It established the philosophy for all the countries that rose after the war. Thats why 9.5/10 players from the ex-Yugoslavian countries know the game and know how to shoot.
@@Unknown-nc4jq yup they really play the game the right way
Please make more of these
Best ringer content
WELCOME TO THE WIZARDS DENI
Great video appropriate ur effort
Is there a way to get notifications only for J Kyle Mann videos?
Follow him on Twitter I guess
Excelente jugador para minesota sí Dios quiere 👍👍👍👍👍👍
All that body movement and offensive versatility will translate in the NBA kid could be really good in the right system and coaching staffing
LETS GOO DIME DROP SCOUTING REPORTS ARE BACCCCCCKK
2:10 a Yves Pons sighting!!
"ambidextrous live dribble passing"...spot on. these types of skills almost have to be there already.
What's the name of the instrumental playing nearing the end of the video?
I love these scouting reports because they're evidence-based and realistic. Because of the distribution of natural talent, only at most a few players every draft will ever end up becoming All-Stars. And that's totally ok. Nothing wrong with being a solid average player.
The first documentary style video since the GOATmentary is coming sometime this week
I’m a big fan and want him to go to GS so I hated this for most of it but objectively it’s a pretty fair analysis
He is in perfect condition relative to his age he is perhaps the youngest in this draft he has athletic delivery power and he played three years at almost the highest levels except in the US he will improve his shooting and be an excellent player maybe not a star but someone who can really influence the game...wait and see...
Can you guys make more scouting report videos of all the top 10 players for this draft class?
He would be a good fit for GS the way they spread the floor will give him a lot of solid opportunities to prove his self and the players on that team appeal more to his game and would be solid mentors based on his game
Washington got the next doncic. Happy bout it
Lol u smokin crack
Oh you already know.
Can anyone explain to me what high low means? Please
Necesito mas j kyle mann
Great video. He's a two year project. He's Very young. Mid 70s ft%, better pick and roll game, mid range jump shot and improved left hand make him a hedo type player
Have to say. Pretty awesome content here.
who's here after 4 years in wizards and now he is traded to Portland 😮
You da man, Mann!
He would be the Perfect fit for the Chicago Bulls! 👌🏾🔥🔥 Warriors probably weren’t lying about his Draft Workout 🤷🏾♂️
Bulls need to trade down and draft Hayes
@@youngboyxaj6692 we already have a proven Point Guard, and a great Development coaching staff to help with the guards. IMO Is rather grab Kira Lewis Jr late in the draft
This guy can be too 'That guy" but outside of Simmons himself this guy is the best content on The Ringer
That deni and lauri 1 2 punch gone be steve nash and Dirk lethal 👀👀 he's he's the key to coby success and lavine stardom he's a perfect fit imo
wizards fam wya?
Right here fam. Hope Deni balls out
Rokas Jokubaitis: 19 year old PG, can pass, shoot, plays a key role on a 5-1 Euroleague team and is not even mentioned in the 2nd round, meanwhile guys like Deni and Killin Hayes are in the Top 10..........why?
Cuz there better
For the same reason Cassius Winston isn't in the top five draft pick even though he was the best point guard in college basketball last year. It's not about who you are but what you can be
Because the scouts and the GMs are looking into what these players might be 2-3 years down the line. Lol, Jalen Brunson probably is the best PG in college his senior year but he only got drafted in the 2nd round. Same with JJ Redick back then, the best college player but but got drafted late lottery. But it also have it's downsides like the reason why Thabeet is drafted 2nd in 09 because these scouts thinks he would improve his game once he hits the NBA.
Cause Kobe really changed the draft process. Teams don't look at guys who can come in and compete after good years in college/overseas like Bird, Jordan or Magic, they pick guys who have potential to get there, like Ja and Ingram. The good players are looking to get paid earlier and teams would rather develop them on the highest level instead of getting comfortable killing lesser competition and ending up with a guy like Jimmer Freddette, who kills it in every league not named the NBA
@@thatguyluis but this isnt collage, a 19 year old kid is tourching players in the 2nd best league in the world while Deni is a bench guy and Killian is playing against lesser competition,
the background beat being as loud as your voice kinda ruins the video for me
Deni is going to be great! Think he’ll go top 3-5
Hopefully a warrior
This man considered a top 4 pick is crazy, really need my Bulls to trade up into the top 3
Holy shit, you actually said it correctly, you freaking god
I think he's gonna be a solid player. Maybe close to a younger version of Gallinari. And that's not a bad comparison. Danilo has made ALOT of money in the league and continues to get lucrative deals at his older age.
Deni 58% free throw , right hand dominant, bad jump shot.
on only 18 attempts. id need to see a bigger sample size to call it
He's not much worse than Lamelo, who shot 70% on free throws in the NBL, but was god awful from the field
@@dreams-deferred9715 He's 50/86 for 58.1% this season in Israel on 3.07 FTAs a game, that's a decent sample size. Imagine any decent shooter in the NBA being under 60% after 28 games.
@@kristapsvalainis1671 LaMelo takes super bad shots...but I just think that's who he is and I fully expect that to continue in the NBA too. I think he's got bust written all over him, if he can't get motivated to defend when it would guarantee him the first overall pick, he won't find that motivation after he's making millions of dollars with a shoe deal.
@@andrewshandle where did you get those numbers? im seeing on bball reference in 26 euroleague games he's 10/18 from the line
I honestly think he’s the best PROSPECT in this draft, but not by a wide margin. He intrigues in so many areas, but scares in a few others, and while his weaknesses are concerning, they are in no way unfixable, and I think he will end up fixing them.
Agreed
Good video, We do love Danni here in Israel. He only has to develop into a decent role player and we're building a statue for him :))) So let's go Danni!!!
I see Gordon Hayward essentially, something like the 4th best option on a championship team. Capable of doing everything but not the best at anything, usually will fall to role of in bounds pass on the final possession of the game. Someone every team will want, but never the centre piece of an offence or defence.
He is half serbian. And serbian part of Yugoslavian. Can't doubt he gonna be good
A Gordon Hayward/Evan Turner blend. REALLY good pace to his game. He could make an all-star game or 2.
Was that the goat Quincy Acy at the end 👀
Yes
He played in Israel
With deni
@@user-lu4nn8zc9d Amar’e played on the team too right
I disagree with the non all Star thing. He is all around but rui can subset that by becoming a deadly iso player. I still think Deni can be a all star on his own
He's not going to be the primary ball handler to start out in DC with Wall and Beal and even Cassius but he's going to have to be able to knock down shots and play some defense. Little interesting because Troy Brown, Rui, Bertans, and Thomas Bryant are kind of all the same position, more so for TBJ bc i feel deni and him have redundant skill sets so TBJ might get traded.
J Kyle Mann how did u read my mind
Solid role player
Is he not a Dario Saric 2.0?
being in such a weak draft might tank him cause i think he could be a decent sf but i dont see him as a luka who you can run your offense thru and a lot of teams that are drafting high might try to force him into being a pg
Avdija on the Mavs would be interesting as a secondary ball handler.
They don't need him. They have JJ Barea and Luka to do the playmaking. They need shooting around Luka and KP and I think Deni won't provide that for them
@@lenirish did you seriously say JJ over Jalen Brunson... casual af lmao
jalen brunson is not a playmaker. And I'm not a mavs fan so don't expect me to remember every player who plays there. Calling me a casual, saying avdija can go to mavs even though they don't have a lottery pick smh
@@lenirish 🤡
