It's crazy coming back to this video now that Killian Hayes is an MVP candidate.
Holy fuck 😂
Who’s here after the pistons selected him
Literally only reason I'm here😂
Lol same
Every team had this synopsis of needs and possible picks, then the pick gets an elaborate documentary about their life, but when they get to the Pistons, they call the pick immediately and give a 30 second blurb on the guy and move on the Knicks, so yeah that's why I'm here
Yes I’m excited now thought we had a shot at melo but Killian plays Detroit D
Sameee
Who's here after he got released by the worst team in the nba
Pistons just waived the number one prospect in the 2020 draft today
IDK what's funnier the actual video or the comments
I think Hayes will be the pick of which people 5 years from now will ask: "Why did he only go 8th overall?"
I really hope he goes at exactly that spot
@@hendi5h For the Knicks' sake I hope he does, for his sake I hope he doesn't 😂
No we need him in Detroit
Not if he goes 8th lol
🟠🔵🟠🔵🟠🔵
I can't handle beardless KOC now...I'm too accustomed to the glorious beard.
Brooooo literally
We can appreciate his face now; KOC's a handsome boy!
@@leebeyer3 classic mom response when u get a bad haircut 😆😆
I was thinking this guy sounds like he should have a beard while watching the video lol
Hayes or Haliburton which do u prefer
Killian Hayes looks like the next D'lo with less of a jumper but a better defender
More like Dragic to me
No! Lol, I'm drooling as Ws fan until u said that 🤣
Dunc'd on?
@@brianbadonde9251 Yeah D'lo
Good comp. worse jumper maybe worse passing cuz Dlo is a great passer but much better defensively
more d'angelo russell than james harden
Not the best comparison, he is already a better defender and is a more natural playmaker then Russel was coming into the NBA at the same age, he is also a better finisher. But I also dont think Hayes will ever be quite the scorer that D'Angleo is
@@des0163 idk bout playmaking,
Accurate
@@des0163 in the Ringer draft article they wrote "Shades of: D'angelo Russell, Manu Ginobili"
@@des0163
He is definitely a better defender, but you’re tripping about the playmaking and finishing. 1) D’Lo is a very good playmaker and was more touted for his playmaking ability as a “big” guard when he was a prospect. 2) D’Lo was 60+% at the rim this season (comparatively, Stephen Curry was around this efficiency as well). He’s not an athletic finisher, but he’s an effective finisher but sometimes he just settles for bad contested floaters/runners when he can’t get all the way to the rim(which was highlighted about Hayes in this video)
I‘m from Germany and have seen him play live 3 times. Definitely has every tool to be productive in the nba... not sure about his consistency tbh... hope for him he gets drafted later in the first round so the focus isn’t totally on him.
The Mavs would be a great fit but he won’t fall that far
@wsg man Well obviously they know they don’t have the pieces to win now. It isn’t the Knicks lol.
Moinnnn
if my pistons don't trade up for Melo, Kllian looks very promising
Nice call
I hope u right good call
That was a good call homie let’s hope he balls this year
called it too. Great minds think alike
Hope your right man.
Need him in Detroit. Has no pressure and can have all the shoots and touches he needs to develop
Faxxs
I swear! 💯
And he would have a Frenchmate there.
fingers crossed bro lol
If he falls that far. I'm a detroit fan and hes also top on my list.
Unfortunately I think someone else in the top 6 will take him. Hes got too much talent.
I been watching highlights from every player bc iont really know anything about this class but this kid looks like he’s going to be one of if not the best from this class
Same bro. So far he looks like the best I’ve seen but I’ve only watched like 10 prospects.
Who else thinks the pistons did a good job !? 🤔
👇🏽
Deni or obi or Cole Anthony woulda been a better pick in my opinion
Obi
They did amazing got 3 1st round picks for bums Luke Kennard and Bruce Brown. Along with Dombouya and Wood this is a young talented team.
@@bw2382 Luke Kenn add got traded brother his contract was up next year and he wanted big money but we got some good ppl for him
Bruce brown gone to
We need more DiMeDrOp
YUP!!!
Pistons, Knicks should be all over Hayes as a possible franchise cornerstone.
If the Hawks draft him they could be playoff bound.
The draft is stacked with guards that have big potential upside. I Can't wait to find out which ones will end up having the most impact in the NBA.
@@brianbadonde9251Was Ntilikina this hyped though? Think Hayes has more going for him. Been playing pro ball for a while at a young age and his skillset seems more polished. You sure it's not just because they're both French?
@@brianbadonde9251 Hayes has way more potential on offense than Frank.
And mobile bigs
Good call
It's 2024, Killian Hayes has been released by the Pistons and Chris Vernon watches this video anytime he needs a giggle.
Love KOC, no one's perfect.
Thnx just seen my Pistons take him good info I’m excited now about him
The first baby Harden was Luka.
Doncic is a bigger Harden. He draw fools like him and his overall offensive game is a copy. But yeah he doesn't have the same handle
Might be reaching but Luka might be more of a Bird type of player
@G23Farrakhan52 Luka took over 9 fts per game. Even more in the bubble. He definitely studied how Harden creates contact and tries to emulate it. Not saying their the exact same but its a good comparison.
@@jo23bulls Bird wasn't really a perimeter oriented player like Luka/Harden. He was a good shooter and passer but he was mostly operating out of the post.
@@ismaelmoha786 Harden can't post-up like Luka.
I get some hints of Brandon Roy watching him, in addition to the other comps you've given. Convincing sell job KOC, I'm in on Killian.
I previously wasn’t super high on him, but this combined with other people I trust liking him... Idk I might be in
Here after he got released. Literally had no trade value
This aged wonderfully xD
Having this guy as number one on your big board is ridiculous.
this guy knew
@nico92331 thanks bro, for the record I loved Haliburton too 😂
Well, this Vid didnt age well
He reminds me of Manu Ginobili and I honestly hope San Antonio drafts him. Seeing him being coached by Pop could be really interesting.
Exactly my first thought!
I think they’d have to trade up and give away a player or two for it
@@Multiswagbeast would trading someone like Lonnie Walker+their lottery pick be a good idea to get something like the 5th pick?
@@claud.5664cavs have a lot of guards. I think they’d ask for a forward if anything and I’d say no
@@claud.5664 More like Atlanta. I’ve heard that we are willing to trade our pick. Lonnie+6th pick would be perfect for both teams. Spurs fans would say no because they like Lonnie but Pop barely plays him
He’s going to have a lot of chances to score in Detroit. Especially if they trade d rose or griffin. He’s my ROY vote
People used to say the same about doncic, even if he's probably not as talented and experienced when drafted still they played against professional basketball players very young, while others were the Stars with their college...
Great video! Killian Hayes is definitively near the top but maybe not the best overall prospect. You did a fantastic job demonstrating his flaws, they are blatantly obvious. He needs to polish his game a little more on the offensive side in order to make an impact. He reminds me of when I first watched Rui Hachimura's videos years back, I believe him not being as hyped can work in his favor as far as development like it did for Rui.
You do a great job in your analysis. Really enjoyed this segment. Your observations are spot on. I am concerned about his inability to drive right or use his right hand. The defensive vignette was impressive.
This video should be pinned to Kevin’s profile
I've said this all year but I want it in writing now. Killian Hayes will be the best player in this draft class.
Flashes of luka
He's good for his age but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. You still have LaMelo Ball and Cole Anthony in the same draft class, playing the same position.
Sad that you feel that way
Cole Anthony a late 1st rounder
He can’t use his right hand
He has a smooth game, I like seeing him take mid-range shots. He can get any shot with those moves
Keep these coming KOC! good stuff
If everything is based on the nice flashes he has shown he is capable of, he'd be great. The question is if he can put it all together, if he can be consistent enough and if the shots are actually gonna fall.
Wolves probably take a more off-ball type, Warriors probably go big... #3 to the Hornets could be a good landing spot.
Hornets have way too many guards though. If they’re smart, they should go big too.
@@Watermelon_Man You are right. Just thinking "best case scenario" as to where he could land in the earliest. Hornets can take best available as they don't have anyone untouchable. Rozier had an underrated year and has a trade-friendly contract.
@@tjslam26 Bulls are going BPA and won’t care about ‘fit’ they’ll take him
More of this pls... love the channel btw
KOC, great vid brother but man you look like Sheen from Jimmy Neutron
Why you gotta do my mans like that? 😂
the ringer is the 🐐
Basketball is a team sport and a good playmaker never hurts a team👌👌
Yea KOC loses all credibility with this one 🤦🏿♂️🤣🤣🤣
He’d be a great fit on the bulls
I could see some magic happening if the Warriors drafted him. I still like Wiseman for the Warriors but Hayes is intriguing.
please keep making the draft breakdown videos they are really good
It's pretty evident if he's the top guy in this class (or top 5) that this class is pretty weak for right now talent.
WELCOME TO THA MOTOR CITY
In the first place many people thinks that the golden state warriors will draft wiseman because of position need and I like wiseman on the warriors too but if we look closer to the current situation of the golden state they also have a big hole on PG position not just the Center position so if the warriors will not trade thier 2nd overall pick this year they should target killian hayes if we look at hayes this dude has so much potential than lamelo or even the other top prospects and remember the warriors have also the 48 and 51 pick of this years draft and there's a lot of good players they can draft with that pick they can even use it in drafting Nick Richards 6-11 center from Kentucky and They can as well draft paul reed or mason jones if they are still available. so killian hayes, Nick Richards and mason jones on the warriors will be huge or even the next gems on the making. Hope you guys like this analysis
PLEASE GOD LET HIM FAIL TO THE PISTONS AFTER THE NBA HOE’D US DROPPING US DOWN 2 SPOTS
He did!
Please not fail
Yessir!
Killian would be AWESOME fitting between Lonzo and Jrue in New Orleans. Secondary playmaking alongside Zion and Ingram would be unstoppable on offense. He'd be a nice addition to the historically bad defense too. Gr8 vid KOC
This didn't age well
I see Goran Dragic when I’m watching Hayes. I just don’t see how he is the “Best Prospect”. Tyrese Haliburton is a far better prospect who checks all the boxes. Once his body catches up he’s gonna be a longtime NBA starting Point Guard.
Same I see Goran Dragic too specially the way he pass to 3 point shooters
Wow!! Said the same thing 2 seconds before reading your comment.
Dragic is a good comparision tbh, Dragic has had a very underrated career. I like Haliburton but man his jump shot is ugly. Tbh Im not a big fan of this draft
yeah with some Dlo
I agree about the dragic comp
nice to see my home club on the ringer...go ulm!
I also like what I see from Killian Hayes. Yet, it is kinda hard for me not to think of Frank Ntilikina though and how he was such an intriguing prospect as well a few years back. So, it will be interesting to see how Killian Hayes will translate in the League.
It’s indeed Frank Ntilikina part 2
One of the best Picks the Pistons made in years !
We got a steal.💪🏽🔥
No u didn’t
Deeeeeetroit Baaasketball ! Plese Detroit management, make me proud
Booker, Rubio, Payne, and Hayes would be a very solid backcourt.
It was so scary seeing KOC without his beard
For months, Ethan Sherwood Strauss has also said that Hayes is the best prospect in this year's draft.
KOC: It’s not that anyone should expect Hayes to become the next harden
Thumbnail: The next harden?
Hell yeah Pistons got a great player right here? Amazing draft
I really hope he ends up with the Knicks like he did in your mock draft
Why would you wish that for anybody? That's like sending them to developmental hell.
You think hes better kira Lewis?
The best destination for Killian Hayes is Phoenix Suns. He would probably have the chance to get a full awareness of his weaknesses and right away find a solution for it to get fixed , of course , by the mentorship of Rubio & Coach Monty. Killian playing alongside Dbook is a match made in heaven for the Suns. I believe he has all the tools & potentials of becoming the future franchise PG if ever he gets drafted by the Phoenix Suns.
It must be tough being someone who makes mock drafts, comparisons and highlight videos knowing that they're most likely going to be wrong most of the time
Suns fan here; I'd be excited if they can land Hayes or Halliburton. It'd be cool to see you do a compare/contrast video of the leading point guards.
If he falls to 8, the Knicks will actually have a shot at developing into an attractive situation for max free agents in the next 2-3 years.
No, the Knicks already have "Frankie Feces 💩" on the roster stinking up the joint
Hayes has a floor of what we thought Frank Ntilikina would be and a ceiling of a budget Harden (which is still really good)
He should lose his job for this take
this is nasty
Dudes pretty crafty for his age. I'm loving this pick Detriot 😤. We didn't lose a bunch going after Melo and got someone who may be the better player when it's all said n done
KOC is the man! Love the analysis
been patiently waiting for killian to get drafted ever since 2k18 when i drafted him 17th and he became an mvp player, probs not gonna be one but still wanna play with him on 2k
Lemme save yall some time, he is NOT the next Harden
just as a note to everyone free throws are only more predictive in general because the sample size is big enough to translate, while one season of shooting 60 threes isn't enough of a sample size. If hayes has been shooting lots of threes at low success, it would be a better predictor than his free throws.
I mean yes but no, free throws are a good indication of form, shooting form that is as it doesn't rely on strength at all, something the 3 point shot especially at range does, bassically you can make a great 3 point shooter out of someone whos good at the line, because they already have good shooting habits however you'll be hard pressed to find someone who can shoot a 3 but cant shoot a free throw.
Ya FTs arent only good cuz of attempt volume. There is a huge diff in the type of shots one can take from 3. Just as an obv example, off dribble jump shots are broadly far less efficient than catch and shoot ones. Meanwhile, free throws are all shot in relatively similar circumstances . meaning the percentage stays a lot more consistent regardless of role, shot selection etc
This title aged like MILK
I think the Pistons would take a chance on a prospect like Killian. What is the relationship like between Killian and Sekou?
There’s a video of them on another channel. They’re good friends
Hayes appears to have potential. His athleticism, slick passing, and possible scoring ceiling are attractive. But... he's in a Euro B league, crazy left-handed, and the jump to the NBA is super high. Like Lamelo, I would like to see a full successful year in the highest Euro league. There are more scouting on Desmond Bane or Cole Anthony (and more leadership). Killian looks enticing, but I wouldn't want him in a lottery pick.
Amazing 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Passing is good, but mans legit can’t score.
Poor guy will end up in New York
praying he does lmaoo
Im praying he does too
They got a 6'2 PG, 6'3 PG and a 6'4 PG. Why not add a 6'5 one to the mix?
@@silewis9396 Because none of them are any good.
Hopefully!
This did not age well AT ALL
Killian is a great kid. If you're interested in young international prospects check Victor Wembanyama. He's France next big player. He's unbelievable.
Lol well this aged terribly
The ability to turn the corner on a defender is a pretty big difference maker.
Great music at the end.
Kevin porter Jr in Cleveland plays more like James harden.
I actually compare him to Kobe Bryant. Who also came up playing in Germany and France. If I'm Chicago, I'm trading down and getting this kid. Hes amazing. I also like Theo over there as a steal. He is like Klay meets the Spurs SG..Ginobili.

Love it KOC. I like Hayes too. I don’t think the Knicks will pick him for fear of a backlash because they’ve already taken one french point guard
Really like his game. The defense puts him ahead of some of the flashier prospects
That's Damon Stoudamire and Harden in one body. Impressive
Reminds me of young DLo coming out of Ohio State
yeah im feeling this
I hope he's there when the Pistons pick
He’s more Luka, and less beard.
Like Luka he creates using speed changes, and has the intangible “Euro” moves that have made Luka a scoring machine.
Although Luka’s size is a bit different (allowing him to backdown smaller guards), the skill set Hayes shows is a mirror image at times.
Say it with me: “DeeeeeeeTroit Basketbaaaaall!!!”👍👍👍
Gotta love my boy KOC
This didn’t age well…
His game is really good
I thought the #1 overall thing was iffy, but Hayes IS the only complete prospect in the draft. Playmaking, driving, shooting, dribbling and defense.
I agree with you 100% and if the bulls do not take him it better be because he was already selected , the grace period of Jordan's retirement is over and the rebuild will almost be complete with hayes at the point and having a 3 guard rotation with hayes , coby white , and zack lavine might be the best in the east in another 2 years as they learn to play with one another
Spot on. He's a Knick
Great Take.. I’m sure you’ll be considered a genius 2-3 years from now.. TBH GSW are pretty high on him and may take him at 2.. His agent says he could be taken anywhere between 2-8 ; )... He could be used in a 3 guard lineup/Death lineup with Steph, Klay, Wiggins and Draymond. Definitely possible.
I agree. My top pick too.
I agree with your analysis of the player but i still think that Obi Toppin is by far the best player in the draft from what i have seen so far. I think this class will be a legendary one since there are so many players with huuuuuuge potential and i think we will quite a few really good players come out of this class. Cant wait to see who will Miami pick, i do hope is a stretch 5 since that is what we absolutely need the most, a huge guy that can shoot it, we all know Bam can but he feels probably still too inconsistent to see him try shoot it frequently during a game, he wil get there in time but while we wait we may as well get someone who is already comfortable shooting it and is a good defender and rebounder so there is less pressure on Bam which in turn will help him to make his preformances more consistent and even more impactfull than they already are.
