I'm a kindred soul. I also have an 86 FXR which I've owned for the last 27 years and I've had to rebuild it 3 times in those years. The police even confiscated it once for stolen parts on it!

I put a S&S 107 Super Sidewinder engine and a Baker OD6 on a 98 Electra Glide. I know the feeling the first time you take that bike out. Then your jaw drops.
I won't be able to watch this until tomorrow....... This brings great joy. I feel like that bike was more you almost than the rocket and that was the OG. What is dead may never die. Supreme Crusty has arisen. It's soul dragged out of the Southern Fire mountain born again to make cosplay pirates question reality.
Just pulled my 131” bottom breather out of my 93 custom Fatboy and purchased a ‘96 80” all blonde (super hard to find now) Evo. Being solid mounted, if I took a road trip, half the bike would be missing when I got there lol, no joke, it’ll shake your fillings loose. Going to build a rubber mount RK Evo with it or FXR but anything solid mount is out of the question. Every bolt and I mean every need to be loctite fitted. Power is fun but the saying is true, it’s more fun to ride a slow bike fast rather than a fast bike slow. Also, the bigger you go, the more you lose that traditional Evo sound
Funny thing, that Final Fantasy music kicks in and I think "Man I'm used to this music hitting just right when the FXR breaks down." Then I watched the sudden looks down at the peg and I wasn't disappointed. XD

I have a beautiful 1989 FXRS Low Rider. I bought it in 2003, so I have had it 20 years. It has just over 61,000 miles on it. It had, I believe, 17,000 miles on it when I bought it. The seller just had to have a Twin Cam. And I have several other bikes, so all my riding has not been on this one. This bike is literally a museum piece. It looks like a 2 year old bike. Being 64, this bike will probably last me the rest of my life on its original engine.
If you are ever in CT. TP still does exist. Im friends with the owner and my wife does they're books.They only build a few motors a year now but they are a great machine shop.
Man Barf Party/Vomit commit holds a special place in my heart as it was one of the very first ShadeTree vids I ever watched… the rest is a blur of bikes and babes, but the commit is eternal.
When I had a Shovelhead that was difficult to start I would push it about two city blocks to a gentle downhill area. Oh lawd if it didn't start then I would push it back uphill to try again. After I was totally exhausted I would still need to push it uphill one last time to get it home.
When you said how long ago the “barf party” was I couldn’t believe it. Have I really been having this one sided (not your fault) relationship for this long. Your a good man Shadetree Surgeon Brown!

And with great chorus the FXR breathing life from its now heavy lungs. And roaring down the street, screaming. Confused at its new life and unsure how to further endure. Tighten the bolts on your monster Dr. You can't take away the 2nd life that you forced unto the FXR. Renamed... Vomit Comet.
