People in the comments seem to be missing that this is not a PERFORMANCE of Avril 14th, this is an IMPROVISATION. If anyone's about to complain that it's not a note-for-note cover, they have fundamentally misunderstood what's going on here.
I want more backstory of cosmic liberty. What compelled you to make it. It gives me so many ideas and has kept my busy mind quiet. A performance of cosmic liberty with Garstka, or something would be cool. I've been fascinated by the album ever since I first listened to it. I feel so lucky. Obviously, the idea did not come from anything small. It puts you in an outer worldly headspace. Truly a great work.
It's as if someone had gone out to play the exact song accidentally hit a wrong note wrong and flung themselves wildly off into multiple tangents to return and then do it all again. Super beautiful. PS: I know that isn't what happened, but it just reminds me how often I do that in my own life, wildly flinging myself off into something that is far from what I had planned because of a couple of wrong notes.
The best cover I've heard of it in the sense that you actually bring your own compositional techniques and thoughts to it; I laugh at the irony of people doing exact note-by-note covers of a song made by a man who is one of the most iconoclastic and unclassical music creators probably in the world. I also have jazz and electronic influences and interests, and it's odd to me that these 2 sides are totally ignorant of each other for the most part (same for classical).
@@NickHchaos he butchered the track, completely missing everything that made it great. Frankly even Kanye West did more justice to the original. Fast button pushing though.
The beauty of this song is "what it's not", the simplicity of it. In my opinion, it is ruined; or if not ruined, the original song is greatly polluted.
Mike D there are many jazz songs that are great for their "simplicity" but then during performance, or for fun, some performers try and improvise over the existing work, to create something unique within the framework of the original song. So yea, its suppose to be polluted, its not trying to be simplistic.
Also, i use jazz as an example, there are many songs from many other genres that people improvise over, and also the beauty of this song can change with each different interpretation of it

It's almost like he put the original through a kaleidoscope and this is what came out.
Seriously glad i discovered this. Makes me so glad to know one of my fav djazz artists is an RDJ fan😊😊
Yeah nobody could have done such a great job portraying Iron Man as RDJ
Happy Avril 14th !!
If Richard D James had pursued a career as a lounge bar pianist
It's not classical you donuts it's jazz

So beautifull !
This should have way more views! You're amazing
Amazingly beautiful...
Questo brano proviene più dalla musica classica che dal Jazz. Avrei composto diversamente costruendo altri passaggi fossi stato un pianista
So beautiful. Sounds like a studio ghibli score.
This is literally a classical remix. Great job! Excuse my poor vocabulary in music but this rendition is beautiful, and relaxing!
Apart from, you know, it being jazz not classical.
It is literally not a remix. But in fact a live music hall recording.
very creative. thx for sharing
Murdered it
Haha in a good way
Damn bro went off
The good side of RUclips ✨
great :)
Fully expecting you to break in to Claire De Lune at 1:00
as if the original song blossomed
Nice :-)
Troppe seghe
Sick shirt BTW
Wish I could see his hands on the keys :/ sounded like a lot of work to play! Lovely improvisation though :)
👌❤️👍

Trills around 2:33 are very nice! Reminds me a bit of segments of Joe Hisaishi.
You seem to do your part of the ignorance by "laugh at the irony of people doing exact note-by-note covers"
Nick Herman I hate improve covers. They suck ass.

I think you might have problems if you go into it expecting to hear a cover because it's not really a cover at all. The playing here is excellent.
leave ur house

It ruins it - smeagol
This sounds paid for by Kanye. Cool with the results. Blame game stuck
