This demo was outstanding!! Loved every stage, greatly impressed by the new additions and revisions, especially a certain one in the game that I found unique and fun! Sonic's 'Totem Stand' ability intially had some getting used to, but it's actually easier to get used to than I thought, and now I kinda love it haha. And oh man, I could praise the animations all day! Been following this project for SO many years, and I'm glad to see it returning. Great job to everyone involved, and Merry Christmas!

Finally got to play this. The visuals are amazing and nice level design. Can't wait to see the full story. Only thing I'm say about is Sunrise Gate Zone not having the music from the last demo. Really loved those songs. But Granite zone has some banger songs and love the reference with it. Granite/Marble. Very cool
Demo has lots of potential, but felt like I was having to make lots of leaps of faith in Granite Zone where lava was often just out of sight below. More item boxes and badniks with colour schemes that don't blend in with the background quite so much would help I think.
This is literally awesome, Not only is everything so clean but they made feel an antagonist to sonic kinda like knuckles in sonic 3, which just feels right on so many levels

While it'll never ever be explained by SEGA, when I saw the original Sonic Overture demo many years ago, I was interested. Sad the project was never finished but I'm glad there are other fans out there trying to revive it. This looks impressive, specially the animation at the beginning and how Sonic is standing on one hand on that cliff just like in the Sonic CD intro! Hope this project gets a full release somewhere in the future.

Overture had an a unique look and I liked that it was kind of based on proto Sonic the Hedgehog. The view and comment count shows that Overture had its fans, you've made people happy by reviving it. Personally I wish prototype based fan work would seek to accurately recreate the lost games we almost got, fans always have to put a spin on it for some reason.
I think the game soundtrack could get better, using a bit of voice sampling and make the music more optimistic with a feel of wonder. And those totems that you can grab on could be more apart from each other.

Out of all the Sonic fangames, I always liked Overture over the rest, but was really bummed when it went on radio silence all those years ago. That being said, I am ecstatic that it's back, and better than the initial demo! Best of luck completing the full game!
Sonic Overture was my favorite Sonic Fangame. seing an revival project is incredible, i hope the best of the development edit: I have played the demo, and i love it, the Granite Zone boss was incredible, i just think there could be the No spindash option, like the original, but still is really good!
