This is the second N64 style 3D platformer released this year where you play as a goat-ish creature. I don't know how to feel about that, besides mildly confused.
This game looks incredibly polished and actually properly pays homage to the N64 era of games. This one in specific reminds me of conker's bad fur day in terms of visuals. (Some N64-style games just have low poly models and call it a day, not considering other cool things like bilinear filtering, vertex colors, etc.) I might buy this game and give it a shot!
I beat this game a few days ago and I have NEVER seen a modern game feel so much like an N64 game. Its honestly stunning and the whole game is amazing to play. I hope more people play this cause its REALLY GOOD
Just discovered this game a couple days ago. Really loving this revival of N64 styled games between this, Pseudoregalia and Cavern of Dreams which was released a week ago. I get some strong Rayman 2 vibes from the main character's design.
Yeah, it does feel very french, even if personally I'm getting more canadian vibes from it. Like, it reminds me a lot of canadian cartoons I used to watch as a kid... really good times.
Dude, you are the GOAT! This is like the most perfect Banjo spiritual succesor I've always dreamed of! Congrats to however made this possible, I can't wait to see more!
I really hope this means we're getting a full resurgence of N64/PS1 style games. This, and Psueoregalia and the cavern of dreams. Give us MORE retro games please, indies pls
This seems like the year of those kind of games for sure. Plus, those future games of Legend 64 and Space 64 (devlog games at the moment) have me hyped for indie games going in that kind of direction. Gotta also throw in last years Super Kiwi 64 for good measure too.
Besides platformers and kart racers, another genre I want to see more of in this style is shooters. For the most part I've only seen doom-style shooters, but I want real 3-D polygonal characters, objects and backgrounds, the only one I know of right now is Agent 64.
This game was just fantastic. Incredibly satisfying movement system and level design, and dear god the vibes are unnerving in only the way an old 3d platformer could be. Genuinely hope we get to see a sequel someday, this game will have a treasured spot in my steam library
Yes! Straight to the gameplay, no time wasted on story or worldbuilding preamble! I wish more indies realized that nobody's gonna care about the worldbuilding of your game if they can't see what the main gameplay looks like.
I guess the phrase "Reject modernity, go retro" or something like that, is very literal nowadays and this trailer is one of those proofs... in fact, I'm glad that a game was made based on and "copied" " from Super Mario 64.
this feels like traveled back in time to my childhood and saw this release in an alternate reality, thank you guys so much for these and pls keep this up for the sake of the past
When it comes to PS1/N64 inspired games, not that many indie games are able to pin down the game's aesthetic accurately. Corn Kidz is one of the few games that actually nails that N64 vibe down to a T.
this is what people lean when they say they want "Less Graphics". They mean more stylized instead of everything being "Hyper realistic". It's like the EVERYTHINGS GREY AND BROWN in the PS3 era.
Video game companies during the N64 era: I assure you that another 3D platformer collectathon with double jump and cartoonish graphics featuring an anthropromorphic animal will not oversaturate the market.
Man, I loved playing this game, I came and played it before I came across this video, I just wanted to say that this has been an amazing game to play. I kinda wish there was more (not to say that there isn't much content in this game, cause this does have a lot of content), more just because after finishing it, I was chomping at the bit for more, more levels, more bosses! But I'm not gonna complain about what we got, cause again, this was a great game to play through. I really hope we get a big community for this game, and that we can see it go even further! Once again, not trying to sound like I'm complaining, I loved this game, it was well worth its price and more, and I thank you all for making it. Thank you.
I couldn’t put my finger on what exactly this was handling like, and when going through some of my catalogue, it finally clicked when I popped in donkey Kong 64. Very impressive amount of polish to make it handle even better than its inspiration.
Just saw this trailer through osmosis and almost missed that it was made by BogoSoft, known for making Lyle in Cube Sector! Definitely checking this out!
the concept of this game makes it feel like a kid made this but somehow had professional game-making skills, and i mean this with the utmost positivity because i fucking love that

What's the first? Is it good?
@@thealmightycouch311Pseudoregalia, it'a very good
I was thinking about that too! I have yet to test out Pseudoregalia
There is also cavern of dreams this year, hopefully we will have more of those retro esque 3d platformers😊
We need more goat-centric stories
why do i feel like the devs studied the technical limitations of the n64 and used it as their framework.
They likely did.

Reminds me more of Rocket Robot on Wheels
It was recently 6 dollars and is much better than I anticipated. absolutely inspiration for a game i'm trying to develop.
@@manashieldmediaHope what ever you're doing pops off
@@its-just-a-randomguy8958 Much, much appreciated. I hope the same for you!
It's the practical effect for liquids that remind me of conker's.

youll love yo noid 2
@@Wessaman That one has more of a Dreamcast/Psx vibe tbh
@@AtlasTheMayor Or 2000's PC sandbox adventure game vibe
How long is the game!?
@@azizigibson3322 According to my experience; Around 10 hours if you're not looking to 100% it
It's nice to see people not give up on the old styles and create something new with it.
This looks incredible, looks like it came straight out of the 90’s.
Just discovered this game a couple days ago. Really loving this revival of N64 styled games between this, Pseudoregalia and Cavern of Dreams which was released a week ago. I get some strong Rayman 2 vibes from the main character's design.
Check out a game called Yo Noid 2. It's a really good 3D platformer.

@@Mike14264 X-Men? Canada. Beast Wars? Canada. I rest my case.

This is an indeed nostalgic trip reminds me of the old days, wish you all luck and support on this project!
The art style to this game is actually incredible, really impressive fidelity to the n64 aesthetic!!
You got me at the part where he went underground and sucker punched the colorful bug, i am so absoluetly sold
One of the best retro platformers of the year. Edit upon completion : *One of the best platformers of the year.
For a moment I thought this related to the band, Korn.
That would be one heck of a crossover.
I really hope this means we're getting a full resurgence of N64/PS1 style games. This, and Psueoregalia and the cavern of dreams.

Theres is so many already lol
Toree 3D and Toree 2. There's a couple more but I gotta check my steam library
There's a bunch of games like these for a while now. Look up noid 2
Really amazing how authentic this is to games of that era in terms of feel and style, and it plays incredibly well too.
The bounce on some of these animations is so satisfying !
Finally. Weve reached the point in indie gaming where 64 bit is now being used!
It's a very good game, its like that one game you would always play as a child late at night.
Rest in Peace, Victims of the Taco Cat Massacre
never forget :'(
This game was just fantastic. Incredibly satisfying movement system and level design, and dear god the vibes are unnerving in only the way an old 3d platformer could be. Genuinely hope we get to see a sequel someday, this game will have a treasured spot in my steam library
The kind of 3D platformer I want to make some day, once I get away from doing 2D ones. Excellent job, y'all.
The original cult of lamb

I like how every interaction is he ramming his head against items
Retro Platformer enthusiasts are feasting this year god damn
This game is a masterpiece
We need more N64 style games
This looks wonderful! I love the squishiness of all the animations
"uh oh is that le heckin game that tries to imitate the old era for the 10 gazillion times? CONSOOOOOM"
You know that meme of "Wow, a Indie rpg game inspired in Earthbound, how original"
I think it's happening the samething but with Mario 64
True gaming is making a comeback.
This exactly what Rayman would feel in 3D
I guess the phrase "Reject modernity, go retro" or something like that, is very literal nowadays and this trailer is one of those proofs... in fact, I'm glad that a game was made based on and "copied" " from Super Mario 64.
Fantastic animation on the main character! Really nailed it here. Music is fantastic too! Looking forward to this. Might have to use a CRT for this 😁
thanks! :)
this feels like traveled back in time to my childhood and saw this release in an alternate reality, thank you guys so much for these and pls keep this up for the sake of the past
Awesome aesthetic imo
Now this is a game.
You feel old when n64 is another style besides 8 bit retro style
When it comes to PS1/N64 inspired games, not that many indie games are able to pin down the game's aesthetic accurately.

This is so authentically 90s it hurts. The only thing to missing is a ‘k’ instead of a ‘c’ in the title
Video game companies during the N64 era: I assure you that another 3D platformer collectathon with double jump and cartoonish graphics featuring an anthropromorphic animal will not oversaturate the market.
God i just love the art i hope one day i can make something as this
Looks authentic to the 90s era, like a mix of zany Earthworm Jim style with Banjo Kazooie/Conker gameplay mechanics.
Yep I remember renting this from blockbuster. Got it when I saw that no mercy was already taken. Bought a copy a little afterwards.
This looks friggen sweet lois.
another indie game that looks like a n64/ps1/ps2 game?
i loved it!
i wish i knew more games like that
wow
the game even has an affordable price
im certally going to buy it
I've been playing this game on my own streams. Already convinced some friends and viewers to get it themselves, very charming and fun game!
I like this music
This would have been my whole personality in 2002
There seems to be a bunch of N64 inspired games coming around. I love the mood of this game, it’s awesome.
The name and artstyle made me think the OST was gonna consist of nu metal.
The atmosphere and aesthetic reminds me of those 90's/2000's nu metal albums. Only it's for kids.
Can I say this music sounds Like the niche genre I enjoy
Really love it
Wow, I had a cat named Taco who died in 2019. Thank you for memorializing her 😂. Game looks great!
Yoooo it’s Lyle in Cube Sector guy, was not expecting this
this somehow missed my radar but what an awesome surprise! Just bought it and cant wait to explore, thank you for all of your hard work!
I used to play this game at my uncle's house when I was a kid. I could never get past the fifth level.

You nailed the style
I really hope he does a sequel to this game because it was way too short for how good it was and i would absolutely pay for a full game!
For anyone who loves this Ps1/N64 vibe I also recommend Fishing on Lake Ophelia
So cool! Love the retro vibe
I hope this makes it to all the other platforms would love to play it on my ps5
if this comes to the switch that will be an instant buy for me
You guys need to work with Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack to make a Gwimbly game
I’m getting huge Rayman and Helluve Boss vibes from this
Looks trippy and relaxing.
sooo cool, genuinely thought this was an old game ive never heard about ^_^
How the hell did steam not recommend this to me given the number of 3d platformers i own?
Tis looks pretty cool ngl i love the N64 style so much!! ♡
Man this game has a absolute bops
For some reason, nobody understands how good the 64 bit era was. This is 10000000 times better then other games trying to imitate old retro games.
The in game footage makes me think of Conker's Bad Fur Day and Rayman, the box art makes me think of Hazbin Hotel.
thanks nitro rad for showing me this banger
This needs to come to switch (physically and digitally)
This looks so good!! Gameplay looks fun and you guys really nailed the N64 aesthetic
I love the squash and stretch of the player model as it moves. Looks excellent! Hope this gets more attention.
Hope it launches for the Switch. Would be so cool 😊
This seems interesting the art style of the thumbnail reminds me of that goth style from the early 2000s
Looks really fluid and faithfull to the n64 era.
I couldn’t put my finger on what exactly this was handling like, and when going through some of my catalogue, it finally clicked when I popped in donkey Kong 64. Very impressive amount of polish to make it handle even better than its inspiration.
There was a real art to camera placement in the early days of true 3D gaming.
Masterpiece I think potential sequel should be couch co-op or multiplayer

Incredible. If someone told me this was a lost gem from the 90s-00s id believe them.
Love the art style and the aesthetic! Can't wait to see it in action. I'll have to give it a play.
Yep indeed, this game has a great vibe of the good old 64 era.
Looks great!, hope you can port it to consoles, I will buy it at full price.😊
This looks pretty dope, might check it out!
I can see the main character being voiced by Richard horvitz
Oh I love this so far. This gives off robot 64 vibes so bad
I remember playing this game with my younger sister all the time. So nostalgic.
Idk if I love the aesthetic or music more! Awesome work dawg, might have to pick this up
hell yeah older Mario platformer games are my favorite genre. giving this a lookie
This hits my nostslgic heart.
you could tell me this was an unreleased ps1 game and I'd believe you. the game looks INCREDIBLY accurate and it's beautiful to see.
Honestly I love it just for the creativity, good job!
This seems like a good year for 3-D N64 like indie games. This and Cavern of Dreams.
This looks so scrumptious!!!
