    What's funny is as soon as I filmed, I saw Charlotte's Dior video pop up on my notifications 🤣 Dior fever is in the air!
    Has anyone tried the new foundation stick? I recently dove back into my Patrick Ta Creme Foundation, and it's still kickin'! And how about those blush/highlighter duos??

    • @r17l
      @r17l Месяц назад +3

      I am definitely getting the foundation stick. Next month 😬😊
      The one thing I can say is the Dior foundations are perfection (whatever I've tried so far!), so I definitely want to get this.
      For those who are buying it this month, I saw that Sephora has a 4*points offer currently running on foundations! 😊
      Btw, shade "Tan" in the contour sticks is a bronzer -- the others are "contours" (which explains the weird shade 😆....they also had me wondering in the start, as to why Tan appeared before Medium!)

      @@aliciaarcher Definitely not as intense in person. The swatch looks ridiculous lol. I'm around your skin tone, maybe a shade deeper in summer, and found that the tan would be a good bronze shade for me, but the contour shade in medium! Wow. I am veryyyyy tempted by that. It's so hard to find a good neutral/cool toned shade like that

    I seriously love these types of videos more than the reviews of new stuff. I feel like nobody enjoys what they have and it’s such a bummer because WE (the subscriber/viewer) can’t enjoy our purchases with you (the content creator). It feels more like a community when we can enjoy our purchases together rather than being told/sold on what to buy next. I love that Dior powder! It’s too bad they don’t make it anymore/right now. I like to use a slightly damp sponge (like almost dry but juuuust damp enough) to apply. It gives more coverage like a powder foundation. The Rephr sponge is the absolute BEST for this product. And the universal palette is a holy grail product for me! Please make more of these types of videos ♥️

    Hi dear Alicia! Great video, so good to remind us about what we already have!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩Dior, i purchased almost nothing the last 2 years, maybe a Christmas eyeshadow quint for giveaway, i was not happy they changed the formula again, the older formula was better, and now products expire earlier. However, now, they come with stuff in the colours that i WANT to see, tired of so many EU brands here making too warm bronzers for lighter skintones, so i took a 1.5 year bronzer break for buying new stuff. So, i purchased the foundation stick, yess sensitive skin here, a soft primer/moisturizer is needed, i used the CT SPF 50 primer without fragrance and good, the Dior foundation stick is sooo beautiful! Summer now, a little bit tan, purchased shade 2CR now, it's so beautiful, no regrets! Also purchased shade 1 of the countour stick, that one, the formula is also so beautiful, however, shade 1, i can handle it in summer, but its even more cool than the lightest one from Westman Atelier, the Biscuit. So i purchased also shade 3 to mix and match, also do that with my WA stuff, also have shade Truffle or that WA stick. In winter i can use shade 1 better on its own, as i also have reddish undertones in my skintone. I still love my WA stuff, however, these products go on so easy! From the bronzer/highlighter palette i purchased the lightest shade and than stop, blushes: no, enough. And Chanel is coming with new blushes in spectacular formula, so i watch reviews from New Zealand and Australia, not to go fully in that rabbit hole, no, just 1 Chanel blush i said to myself! And you are such a good reminder for the questions in peoples heads, not purchasing at all, not purchasing loads of stuff, etc, thanks, and love the look, Alicia!!! I love your tutorials, if the makeup is "older" or not, thank you!!!😘😘😘😘

    Alicia, I'd understand that in your position you wouldn't get much of a chance to simply buy cosmetics just for yourself to enjoy. I have a nice collection of Quints and every Backstage Eye Palette that has been released except for two of the new reformulations recently released. I can't say which I prefer, as they both have their benefits. You make me so envious showing the Copper Cheek Palette. I was collecting them one at a time, but when it came to the Copper Palette, it was nowhere to be found. I'm thrilled I have four of them, but it still upsets me that Dior continues to make the first four and has never brought back the fifth. If you ever decide to declutter this one, please remember me. I really dislike having an unfinished set. I like that each palette contains different textures, such as the Strobe, Shimmer and Blush. They are so versatile and remain happily in my collection next to my Eye Palettes. FYI, you can tell that a Quint is from the new reformulation by the packaging. On the newer ones, the CD latch at the front will look different. Just yesterday I brought out one of my Dior Quints to wear that I hadn't used lately. I still get blown away by how easy they are to apply, blend and subtly give the eyes that slightly subdued look, instead of high impact glitter all of the time. I'm surprised that you don't have any of Dior's Maximisers. They are incredible to wear and unlike the usual type of gloss. They're great on dry lips, like I endure and their Lip Serum and Glow Balms work well too. I don't own their regular Lipsticks, but love the Addict Lipsticks and those gorgeous Cases too. I haven't been as interested since they destroyed so many products during the disastrous reformulations, although I keep an eye out as to what products are being released. Do you ever wear the Star Filter on its own? I don't wear foundation but sometimes like to have something on my skin every now and then. Please let me know if you've tried this and how it works or not.
    I noticed that you don't appear to have any Chanel. Is there a reason why? I don't buy large amounts from any one brand, yet only when products really stand out to me. Chanel released a set of four Eye Quads late last year called the Byzance Quads. These blew my mind, so I bought all four! Two were subtle, but two were high impact. The Baroque Quad included a bright red, dark green, antique gold and a white sparkly topper. The quality of these shadows are amazing. I wore the green shade all over my eyes as a one and done, which looked fantastic. It looked similar to Mother Pat's green from Sublime and blended over the lids just as easy. As much as I love some of their products, they are so expensive for the amount of product, that you really have to love them a lot. I just bought three of their Eye Liners in an acid green, neon orange and a sea-foam blue. As I have very small eyes, I prefer to use a crayon or coloured liner under my lower lashes instead of shadow. I bought those great Baume Essentials in both shades which can be used all over the face and a stunning golden/green Nail Polish. I admit that Chanel's Mascara is my favourite, although Givenchy's new one has equaled Chanel's. That's another brand that most stay away from, Givenchy. I bought an Eye Palette a few years back and was so blown away that I bought every one that they have released, they are truly that good. The colour stories are divine too. They don't have that high impact sparkle, as they aren't meant too. The Lipsticks are also something special.
    It's nice to see you go back into your collection and dig out items that haven't been loved for awhile. Not every video needs to show new products. I'm just as happy watching and thoroughly enjoying your older videos at present. I couldn't help it and bought Pat's Star Wars: The Golden One Quint, the other half to the first Quints from the year before last in Bronze Bliss, the 6-pan Sublime Bronze Temptation and the Quad of Nocturnal Nirvana turned up two days ago. All from the 'second hand market place and brand spanking new. Not to mention how great the prices were. I didn't forget Natasha Denona and bought my first Quint from her in Lila plus a Liquid Metallic Lipstick. It's a danger for me to go anywhere near eBay now. You wouldn't believe the great bargains that I've scored. Id be happy to see you doing more videos like this. Take care, Kris.🇦🇺💖👩🏼‍🎨

      I personally love Charlotte Tilbury face palettes. They have a baked gelee formula (powder to gel). And a satiny, glowy finish that lasts all day.
      Dior highlighters are more metallic and pressed powder.
      CT's formula is definitely more lux.

      @@RoseOfMadina Hi! What do you recommend between CT and the hourglass holiday face pallet?

    • @RoseOfMadina
      @RoseOfMadina 12 дней назад

      @@betsyvazquez3498 the hourglass are more powdery - they are baked though. But do not have the gel to powder consistency.
      One may find CT harder to dig in, because on first application they may have a 'film' on the product. That usually goes away after the first use. I have heared people complain that they find the CT too hardpressed, which is not my experience. (Perhaps it also depends on the brush you use.)
      Both are longlasting.
      There is also the factor of blurring - which I do not really pay attention too. So I can't really comment on that.
      The CT really gives you the Tilbury glow, which she is famous for. The Hourglass one may be a bit more natural. Perhaps because Hourglass is targeted towards mature skin, and CT not necessarily.
      With the Hourglass holiday palettes you get a finishing powder and highlight and blush anddd bronzer as well. CT never includes a finishing powder. But then again, Hourglass has cranked up their prices.
      Both always include a lot of pinks.
