- The Fender American Vintage II series presents a remarkably accurate take on the revolutionary designs that altered the course of musical history. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks and hardware, premium finishes and meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone.
Initially introduced in 1972 and billed as the top model in the Telecaster family, The Telecaster Deluxe holds the distinction of being Fender’s first solid-body Telecaster with two humbucking pickups. Like the original, the American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe sports a large Stratocaster-style headstock, comfort-contoured belly cut, and pair of Wide Range humbucking pickups mounted to an elongated pickguard with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way toggle located on the upper bout. To create authentic Wide-Range humbucking pickups, we resurrected CuNiFe magnets, which had been out of production since 1981, an essential element in recreating the sonics of the original.
Featuring a ‘75 “C”-shape hard rock maple neck, the American Vintage II 1975 Telecaster Deluxe plays like a dream with a 9.5” radius maple fingerboard and medium jumbo frets. Characteristic of production in 1975, this Telecaster is outfitted with a convenient "Bullet" style truss rod nut, three-bolt neck plate with Micro-Tilt mechanism and offered in Black, Mocha Brown, or 3-Color Sunburst over an alder body. Other features include a 6-Saddle hardtail bridge with stainless steel block saddles and vintage-accurate Tele Deluxe tuners.
The instruments in the American Vintage II series are direct descendants of the original Fenders: designed for players with a fine appreciation for vintage Fender tone and feel and built with unmatched quality, down to the last screw. These are Fender electrics in their purest form: Fender American Vintage II, the stuff of legends.

Screw the guitar, I want his shirt
I own one, Those pickups are HUGE-its a class all by itself, a fatter Tele with a lot of punch but the twang is still there..
I'm in the process of acquiring one myself Sir.
@@Gibson45er Played some jazz tonight with the neck pickup and the tone was supreme..
This Is a fantastic Guitar and i agree with you, the twang Is still here: but i'm scarred by 7.25 radius😢
@@nickfarrow4788 I am pretty sure it's 9.5.
@@Gibson45er many thanks!
I turned 10 in 1975 and I thought The Sweet were about the coolest thing ever! Ah, memories...
In my opinion, the Tele Deluxe is the perfect guitar.
Just another Les Paul ripoff
@@Redhotshawntexas The guitar he would have invented if he was thinking clearly at the time. Better in every way.
@@Redhotshawntexasnot even close.. different scale lengths, different body construction, different size and type of humbuckers and different neck wood construction. All lend to a different sound/tone.. whole different instrument. I have both and they sound vastly different
@@ggreloaded5269while you are right it’s hard not to see the direct influence of the les paul on this model. Still i love these guitars i think they may be more versatile than a humbucker lp and it’s very Jeff Beck blow by blow bc he was using something similar on that album. I think these are probably more versatile than your typical lp but not so with single coil lps.
Boy should really consider taking some lessons if he's gonna do these guitar demos.
I was 20 in '75 with a new Mustang II headed cross state to a Sioux Falls state bowling tourney. It went badly but I scored that double Physical Graffiti LP. I buy almost all my guitars at Wildwood.
That was one of my all time Favorite GK demos. See you in March at the Biscuit.
The eyes are scaring me.
Awesome shirt though.
I want something just like it... or very similar...WITHOUT THE EYES.
Bought a lot of albums from Kmart in the 70s
Gibson's Discount Center here in the midwest...
That is one prodigious instrument! Of course, it always helps to have Greg highlight those features... 🔥🔥🔥
Which ones better ya think this one or the basically same thing in the pro ii model ?
Gonna go try both this week
@@lijahfinch3949so how did it turn out ? I'm in the same case, but can't try them..
personally the american vintage II is better, but you should try tye pro II model
Sick Again Zep riff! COOL!! Great guitar!

Holy fork!
I can dig it! Can someone please tell me what song he is playing at the 4:45 mark?
Luna Girl
Yes, Luna Girl - named after his cat (there's another cat named Bilbo as well)
@@benspivey5782 Thank you. I thought it was something from the Who's Tommy.
@@MattyK-USA Thank you. I thought it was something from the Who's Tommy.
@@stevehill5018 Check out Greg's song "Moonie's Revenge" - it's his "tribute" to The Who sound. Great tune!
