@@Daedcicar - Honestly myself and many others out there don't give a damn about all these EV whistles and bell, just me from point A to B cheaply and reliably. HUD/FSD all the other non-sense is just that, useless crap for most people.
Concepts are always cool until scalability and profitability come into play
Hyundai CEO is not on Twitter trolling people, he's hard-working and that's why Tesla will go into oblivion. By the way, I still don't know who's the CEO of Hyundai, Ford, or GM, but I know they're legit car (AI) companies.

Imagine if the capital held by Hyundai in 2008 had been deployed by Elon Musk?? What growth would Hyundai shareholders have enjoyed???? There is no car company that would not look back to 2008 and follow not Musk.
I honestly can't see how this car will bankrupt the stock.
Musk's big hype was that Tesla was going to totally dominate the global auto market with cheap affordable mass market EV before any of the "legacy" auto makers realize what happened. Tesla's stock price was based on this premises of global Tesla domination. Ok so that's not going to happen. Looks like opposite is happening with Musk being dominated by likes of BYD and Hyundai. So Musk now hangs everything on Tesla being world dominating robo-taxis and AI company in the world while struggling to compete in global auto market?? LOL

@@realchris My dad, a lifelong V8 Holden man (GM's former Australian brand) somewhat unexpectedly switched to Kia for his daily about five years ago. Now on to his second model. He can't stop raving about them: 'it is brilliant', he frequently assures me
Just wait till he sees a Genesis. Those things are super nice. It's what we drove today. But in terms of more regular type vehicles I think the Casper and EV3 are going to be hot.
@@realchris Have actually seen a few on the roads here in Melbourne. Thought it was an Aston Martin by the look of the logo - didn't actually realise it was Hyundai-related until now... And yep, that G90 @ 24:03 looks very tidy

I have an EV6. Thing is smooth AF and has no issues 25k miles in. And they have servise stations everywhere if it came to that.
I was really impressed with all the cars we saw. It seems now there is an EV3 and an EV9 also.
I don’t think these vehicle/brands will bankrupt Tesla.
They’ll bankrupt themselves with stale models that get “refreshed” every couple of years while other manufacturers have come out with better looking exterior/interior and quality products

No, none of those cars are Tesla killers. But they will definitely be big competitors to Tesla, especially Hyundai/Kia. I can't wait to get my hands on the EV3!
Why would anybody buy a Tesla if they could buy one of these EVs for under $30,000 Great commuter cars. The Korean manufactures are really coming up with a great cars. The EV3 I think will be very popular here in the US. Thanks for sharing Chris👍🏻👍🏻

I 100% agree, the scrapping of the dubbed M2 was a significant failure on the part of Tesla. That model would've brought significant growth back to Tesla and would've increased EV adoption faster.
In Korea, many younger people go camping in ICE version of this vehicle. You can actually fully fold front seats and put a third-party car mat that fills up the small gaps between. You can have enough space to lay down since its wheel base got even longer than ICE version of it.
I absolutely LOVE Kia, but calling it a Tesla killer? Nah that’s not gonna happen. It has never happened in the past with any other company either, we have both coke and Pepsi. Mc Donald’s and all other fast food burger joints. Kia and Tesla are just different but both great!
Kia in my opinion has A LOT better aesthetics, but you can not compete with the simplicity of a Tesla. Nor the FSD, albeit not perfect (yet) but it is still such an amazing feature

Genesis Neolun is impressive. It might fall in the same category with Cadillac Escalade IQ and Lucid Gravity.

Reality is not the stock
Tesla's big advantage is their charging infrastructure. Until their competition can readily charge on Tesla Superchargers or their own charging infrastructures improves, I can only admire other EVs from afar but won't buy one.
I can tell you these are all nicer than anything Tesla has.
that will be the responsibility of the recently disbanded charging division. Those chargers were largely funded by state and federal money/credits.
Many of the other car manufacturers have already signed agreements to use Tesla chargers
@@Jimmerca they have. But I hope the charging speed doesn't get throttled. Plus, not all of the Superchargers are open to other manufacturers.

Unfortunately BYD didn't come to Busan Mobility Show this year, but BYD is expected to be selling cars in Korea sometime this year, so hopefully I'll get to see one.

The front seats of the Casper/Inster fold flat as well, like the front passenger seat of the ID.2. Perhaps there is enough length to sleep inside with one or both of those folded.
I’d like to see all of those come to the US and Canada. We need affordable EV options, especially ones with so much utility for their modest size.

Without FSD, I will never buy these EV. It’s like iPhone without ios and apple store. These companies will pay Tesla for FSD.
Extremely interested to know what your opinion is of Optimus Robot. Hyundai also owns Boston Dynamics Robotics company. UB Tech Robotics looks interesting too. Elon Musk said the Optimus will make most of Tesla's in the future( not the cars)

Ev's failed. They blew it buy how they have preformed, charging infrastruction, cost for repairs, but mostly battery anxiety. Not to mention spontaneously combusting. Next technology please. How about water run engines??? They have them. And should foczs on perfecting them.
And for those who say their isn't enough water. That is nonsence 90% of Earth is covered with water. They could mine sea water, Clean it through osmosis like ships do and ship it throughout the world. It will be cheaper than oil, environmentally clean, and would help with the rising water levels from so called climate change. Win win win.

Chemist here, there is no such thing as an engine that can run on water. Yes, you can split water into hydrogen and oxygen and then burn the hydrogen to get energy but it ALWAYS takes more energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen than the energy received from burning hydrogen as a fuel so there is simply no gain in using water as a fuel.
@@larryo6874 Ive seen both car and motorcycle running on it with probably the technology your talking abot. But they ran good and if its expensive to split the molecules then thats what I mean perfect the decise so its cost is worth usage. And yes they can do it.

I think in future I will have to move to Asia, as all our new cars are now coming with stupid so called safety systems, we test drove the new Kia EV5 last week here in NZ and it was horrible! We currently own a EV6 GT Line AWD and the EV5 is not even close in quality to the EV6! The EV5 is still more expensive than a Model Y eventhough is built in China. But what really ruins the EV5 is the attention monitoring system where if you look down at the speedo just for a few seconds the car will beep non stop! The other super annoying feature is the speed limit system where if you exceed the posted speed limit by just 1kph the screen will flash and more beeping tones! Sure you can hunt in the menu to turn it off but it resets every time the car is turned off!
So EV6 for the foreseeable future! Or move to Asia where they seem to not add that rubbish on "yet"
Yeah every country has slight variations in their cars. I could see how people could get annoyed very quickly at your car always beeping at you. One thing I really like though are the features where they beep at you if something is too close.
@@realchris Well I just hope they come to their senses when the EV3 is released later this year or early next here as that is a really amazing Kia! And perfect size to replace our second EV the Nissan Leaf
