This is a great setup! I was keen on the bottom entry but this makes me want the zippers, the extra line to hang things off of looks perfect for keeping everything off the ground!
Yeah, I really like that setup. I was considering the longer straps by Kammock I think they're called the Python Straps and do a similar setup. This is helpful, thanks for sharing it.
Good video. I purchased this same setup for my teen son and I to backpack in Ontario - have played a bunch with various set-ups trying to pick up little tidbits to improve what we do. You have loads of little things that are very useful. I like the separate ridgeline idea for the larger fly. I want to get my 'system' down to one drysac as well... right now in 2 bags. Have you weathered out a good Ontario driving rain yet in this system? How do you find the fly up that high and separate from the hammock? Really like your fleece mod too - I want to work a reflective blanket into your mod to increase protection from cold. Nice vid - make more, you have good ideas.
do you have a video of the way you shortened/replaced the original rope to the small loop on each end? i have damn near the same setup. i just tied the two rings closer to the hammock with some good knots so i still have a ton of rope just hanging there and wouldnt mind your idea to loose the excess rope i still have .
wow I love your setup I wish I had your confidence to modify my hammock that way but idk wish you would have video taped yourself doing the actual mod still great video
Hi, is there any way you could do video or tell me how you switched out the old hammock rope with the new hammock rope loop. I wanna do,the same thing except use existing carabiners instead of the descent rings. Thanks.
Great setup! Love seeing all the different configurations people are using. Cheers.

Have you ever thought about putting your trap on your 2nd ridge line with prusik knot?
