Hi Mike, I just came across your video and think you did an excellent job. Your instructions and explanations where very clear and easy to understand. Keep your videos coming. Hennessy is currently running a special for every hammock with a value of $150 or more purchased online from the Hennessy Hammock website will include free snakeskins, free water collectors free webbing straps and a free asym hex fly in coyote brown. I just purchased your same setup minus the DD whoopee straps a few days ago ($180 US).

Hi Paul, sounds like you got a good deal there. Thanks for the feedback on the video, I'm always trying to balance showing enough detail/instructions but also keeping them moving and to the point. Pleased you found it useful... enjoy the HH Jungle Explorer .

Hi Kevin. The DD stuff is good too, I've just added the DD Underblanket to my Hennessy hammock setup and it's working really well. Thanks for watching.

Great video. I received my HH Deluxe Explorer Zip Asym (mouthful) last week. I also ordered the larger hex fly. I thought the fly was designed to be attached to the ridge-line via the two becket hitches. Do you find it better to hang the fly separately, above the hammock suspension? Thanks kindly!

I have a different Hennessy (Safari Deluxe Zip XXL) but it came with the hex fly. I prefer to attach my fly directly to the hooks on the hammock line. The hammock is always protected by the snakeskins, so if it gets setup in the rain, the hammock itself will not get wet regardless.
After the straps are wrapped around the tree, i use 2 rings to attach and tension the main suspension line at head level quickly. Then i attach the fly onto the hooks and tension them. Then i tie down the 4 points, according to wind direction and desired coverage. If i don’t need the hammock right away, I leave it there in the snakeskins and I have a basecamp set up. I can cook, and stash gear under the tarp right away if needed. When I need the hammock, it only takes 2 minutes to remove the snakeskins and stake down the hammock lines.

Hi Norrie, good to hear from you. Last update we had was that the hammocks are available in December. I'm sure we have your number from the RV this year so we'll give you a buzz if they come in, if you don't hear from us give us a ring mid/late December. Cheers
