I couldn't find my asym classic for an "adult" camping trip (thought I left it at the beach) and had to buy another or miss out in all the fun. Now I have 2. The reason I got "addicted" to hammocks was because of the Hennessy Hammock Asym Classic. This is the hammock every hammock aficionado needs to always own and have on hand. This is the 'extra' one to have for your 'significant other', for 'adult fun' that you can't do in a tent on an inflatable mattress. Accessorize it with a narrow, high back camp chair to keep the hook of the hook and loop opening, off your neck. Pull a bit of 'wobbie' out to keep it off your hip. Then have fun...wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more!
Where ever your zipper closes, hang a paracord line from the ridge line with a carabiner to hang your shoes from, outside of the hammock but within reach. Also good to have a mat layed out under to stand on and a chair to sit on or act as a 'nightstand' that you can reach.
@@fimbuloutdoors I'm still designing that summer hammock. I want to make it so it's up in a minute. The stuff sack part I did not yet figure out, but something like that might be a solution.
LOL...When I saw you to went for the double-ended stuff sack...I stack everything, including my tree straps into the one bag...the bag looks like a sausage with tails coming out both ends P.S. I just ordered from DutchWare ...my new suspension should be here any day now
Been using a Hennessy for about 6 years now (Along with several others). It's nice to see someone talking about a hammock that actually uses the hammock in real life, and not just as a prop for a YT Video (Like that other dude). That's a very nice under-quilt you have there, I use a Kick Ass Quilt from Arrowhead Equipment. New to your channel. I'm Liking and Subscribing. Thanks for the video.
Hi Dave, thank you so much for your comment. I too use several different hammocks, this one was my first "real" hammock and I do feel like home in it. My favorite Hennessy these days is the Deep Jungle XL, but lately I've been using the Warbonnet Ridgerunner and the Amok Draumr XL quite a bit. Hammocking is a neverending story 🤣 Thanks for subscribing 👍
@@fimbuloutdoors I have the Explorer Deluxe Zip XL, and I've also crossed over to the Warbonnet Riderunner as well. I have a Bridge Hammock group on Facebook if your interested in joining. It strictly for Bridge Hammock related information.
Great video and great mods! Thanks! Now im convinced I'm gonna buy a Hennessey for my walking weekend trips (no more than 2-3 times a year, but a lot of walking in Sweden). One question - how tall are you? Im conflicted if I should buy the Ekspedition or explorer. I'm 177cm and 68kg...
They're great hammocks and very comfy too. I'd go with the Explorer or any model in the XL range. The comfort level is so much higher, even for a person of your height. A hammock can't really be too long. My personal favorite HH is the Deep Jungle XL. The fabric of this model is superior to all of the others... Good luck and happy hang! Rasmus
@@fimbuloutdoors I was leaning towards the 'ekspedition'. It shaves a bit of the price - and aprox. 0,5kg on the weight. But I was concerned of the '180cm' height limit - being 177 myself. Sadly the 'used market' isn't so big here in Denmark otherwise I would have bought a XL used.
As I've stated before, I would definitely save up some more money and get the better/larger hammock. You can only spend your money once...
Thank you. Yes I run a small hobby business called "Fimbul Gear". I have a dealer (Bushcraftbutikken.dk) who sells my standard edition primarily for Warbonnet hammocks. All other models including the Hennessy models, is sold directly from me.👍😀
Hey great video. Few questions. Did you say a plastic crab on the suspension? If so what one and what is the swl? What trousers are you wearing And finally how much is this under quilt to the UK? Thanks
@@jetw1518 hi, thanks for your comment. I'm not sure what you mean by "plastic crab"..?? Must be because of my bad accent. I don't know what you mean by SWL? If you are interested in an underquilt, shoot me an email via my website www.fimbulgear.dk and I will try to figure out the shipping costs. Cheers
Fimbul Outdoors Thanks for getting back to me, sorry crab is short for carabiner I assume everyone uses it 😁 and swl is safe working load ie how much weight it can take as I’ve never seen anyone use plastic for there suspension before 👍🏻

Great minds think alike. I’ve done many of those same mod’s to my Hennessy Explorer Deluxe. Great video!
👊😄 It's great fun tinkering with those hammocks. Thanks
I too am now a hammock addict!
Jungle safari!
Ha ha, welcome to the party! That's a great hammock too 👍
Love the modifications! Very informative video. Thanks for sharing. 😊👍
Thank you, glad you liked it 👍🏼
I am also newly addicted and have the same Hennessy, thanks for sharing your mods.
:)
Very nice thanks.
Great modifications
Thanks man! I do tend to try out different configurations on my hammocks. All part of the fun...
That double ended stuff sack is a good idea.
Yeah I like to try out different options. I've got a lot of hammocks and not two of them have the same setup...😂🤷♂️

That's certainly a well proven method. Can't really go wrong with that 👌🏼
Your addicted to hammocks??? Ya, I know what you mean. Just incase everyone needs one, I think I have it covered.
Fantastic mods! Happy hanging

Very Nice video, got really inspired from your mods!
Thanks. I'm glad you like it 👍🏻
Are you still using this hammock?
Yes sometimes I do, especially if I´m camping with my dog. This hammock is nearly indestructible... 😆😆
How much are your hennesey underquilts please
Sorry, but I don't make any at the moment. Too busy with other projects and collaborations.
Well they say the first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem, well I too am addicted to hammocks.😞
