Wayne could have probably had a successful career as a sales and spokesperson for whatever company he was endorsing at the time. I've seen him do an endorsement vid for ESP, Dean and I want to say Gibson for their black metal series that every nu metal guitarist seemed to own from 98 to 05. He seemed to genuinely love each of his signature guitars as if each one was the holy Grail of each company. Either that or I'm just a rube. Probably the latter more than the former
I would agree with ya on that. Wayne seemed to be quite the humble guy and genuinely believed in his gear as an example his use of the non tube amps at times. When I saw the single humbucker Diamondplate combined with being a fan of Waynes music I had to have it. Scored it at a pawn shop back in the day when you could find decent gear at a pawn. Unfortunately here in Ft Worth Texas, those days are gone. It's all trash now that apps took over the selling vehicles for instruments. But it was fun while it lasted, walking in and wondering what bad ass guitar, amp or effect I might find.
@@Tatted-ne7tu Here in Indiana, you can still find 1 or 2 gems out of that pile of gaudy, Paul Stanley endorsed Silverstones, Harmonys and Class Act brand Hello Kitty ukes and a few Peaveys and Kramer with faulty electronics lol. I've found a left handed, fretless Yamaha for 149.00 back around 05. I almost bought a Fender P Bass that was a solid maroon color. It had a bit if a different design and it was incredibly light I want to say it was called a P Bass lite. I never seen or heard of one before so I was leery on spending 249.00 for it. I assume it's mostly only the small cities like mine where some mom and pop businesses can still cut out a living. Not as well bybfsr as they did pre Walmart and Amazon ,but still making it. What are your most recent finds?
Last really cool thing I found was a Peavy JSX head. Drove home to give myself the ritual "time to think before I buy" and the next day it was gone. The last guitar I scored was a Nuno N24 for 200. Best deal I ever got? A Fender SRV model with case for $752.00, every penney I had in savings.
That's what i like about this guy and the band: the power and sheer simplicity of his compositions and of course his singing style, so sad, i wonder what would be coming up with nowadays...
Days ago, I found this guitar hanging at st pete guitar in clearwater florida i was on vacation. I was debating if i should buy it or not. Have to travel back to texas. I remember seeing wayne wield this ax when they came down to texas 11 yrs ago and wanted one. I could not sleep that night, The following day. I wasted no time, called stevie the store owner and there it was brand new with the original case waiting for me. What a lucky find.
he's not joking about them being solid. i dropped my esp ltd m-100fm on the floor and it landed on the whammy bar and it was still in tune when i picked it up lol
yeah he is, hell of a nice guy too, met him at a pedal to the metal festival. i have a picture with hime on my myspace. my uncle (erik fincher) is his guitar tech, so he put me on the guest list
@caseyball27 No, a baritone guitar has a longer scale length than a standard guitar allowing it to be tuned lower without having loose string tension. Adding two frets toward the headstock would be the exact same as adding two frets towards the bridge...
I love the Explorer model. I've had mine for about five years I believe. Is there any data on how many were made? It's weird how little information there is on such a good sounding guitar.
at least he's so honest. i'd love to have this guitar. it has amazing finish work as seen. it just looks METAL! and 24FRETS!!! thats all you need to rock out. this guitar rocks no matter what Wayne plays. the only missing thing is a Floyd Rose IMHO.
You want to see something even more badass, then just look up his Purple Dean ML modifier. It's just awesome. I don't think he actually ever got to play it before his passing tho. So i think there is only the single version of it. One Pickup because thats just what he wanted.
Baritones have a larger scale, body wise, and neck-wise, and they are usually tuned a perfect fifth (A-D-G-C-E-A), perfect fourth (B-E-A-D-F#-B), or a major third (C-F-A#-D#-G-C) lower than standard.
at the beginning of this video I thought wayne was a pretty weak musician but in the video he admits that he isn't a very skilled guitarist but that he is skilled in different elements of his music. I respect that.
@kataishin true but remember there are also certain aspects that effect the feel and sound of the guitars i have a mocking bird too but i love still my ibanez better thinking of getting another one thinking of getting an Ibanez RG7321 ibanez guitars are known for their wizard neck nice and thin so u can get ur hand around with ease plus slide it quickly up aqnd down vibratos are also very easy to do pinch harmonics an squeals action nice and low oh even the stock pick ups are nuts crazy crunch
@SlipknotChris66688 ESP stopped making it and my friend found one at a Guitar Center. I guess that you really have to look it up like a mad man, if you really want it. Best of luck to you!
Personally, The only guitars from them i like are my ESP- Gus G., with the floyd and reverse headstock, and the Original Explorer they had in the 90's, not the EX they have now.
Maybe it's a marketing thing. Like if the guys from Metallica want a custom guitar it will be ESP because there's many Metallica fans out there and that band is way more famous so the customers are willing to pay more.
now all about Dean Guitars xD ,in sherrifs v0ice from squldblLLles -idk B.C. Rich guitars are pretty Gain crunchy filled guitars on the real yo.-R% Team
@TheDurzoBlint See that's the thing, it's not an opinion it's a fact. If you played guitar for just a month or more then you would also realize his musical skill.
@kataishin that's not true. wood also say alot about sound if you would put some EMG's in a cheap stagg it would sound much worse than in a good gibson or ESP
@NavySealRay the rhythm guitarist says its all about rhythm ... im a lead guitarist i say its all about SOLOS ... even drummers say its all about the good beats not guitars at all
@crazyguitardude666 lol when i first got my esp ltd v 200 i dropped it headstock first and i was just like shit the head stocks broken then i picked it up and it was fine now im used to the strength of it when i knocks something i know its fine.
Depends, fixed bridges have a nicer sustain and tone, floyd roses give you the option of doing a variety of masterclass tricks. It's all in the matter of style, I doubt Static X songs, will need any superwhammy (unless Koichi is up for some wilder soloing).
@MParseface38 Absolutely nothing since he doesn't shred or play leads. Why does he have a signature if you think about it, when he could just take any esp and put the pick ups he likes and it would sound pretty much the same? I don't know.
Still missing Wayne I'n 2020🤘🤘
And 2021 and coming soon 2022.
And Alexi too, imagine if they had played together 💔
And in 2023 ❤️💐
Still missing Wayne 2023
20w23
Still have my Static 600 for all my dropped tuned chugging stuff. Love that guitar...

Wayne the legend, u are still missed. Rip
he's a true entertainer, and he doesn't have to be a bad ass solo-artist to be a true entertainer and performer ;)
That's what i like about this guy and the band: the power and sheer simplicity of his compositions and of course his singing style, so sad, i wonder what would be coming up with nowadays...

Dude please sell me that guitar

So happy I still have my Wayne signature V!
He mentioned Alexi :( RIP Wayne Static and Alexi Laiho. Both gone way too soon
Still a legend.
Eternal
I hang out with Wayne every december because his my best friends uncle and he comes to michigan and visits every december.
he's not joking about them being solid. i dropped my esp ltd m-100fm on the floor and it landed on the whammy bar and it was still in tune when i picked it up lol
i swear man this dude signed with so many companys esp gibson dean ect
love and miss you Wayne
yeah he is, hell of a nice guy too, met him at a pedal to the metal festival. i have a picture with hime on my myspace. my uncle (erik fincher) is his guitar tech, so he put me on the guest list
RIP Brother!
R.I.P Wayne Static Miss You
@caseyball27 No, a baritone guitar has a longer scale length than a standard guitar allowing it to be tuned lower without having loose string tension. Adding two frets toward the headstock would be the exact same as adding two frets towards the bridge...
superwhammy can be used for a variety of sound effects that fit into static-x's style so really its very useful for them
gah, i miss this dude
I love the Explorer model. I've had mine for about five years I believe.
Is there any data on how many were made? It's weird how little information there is on such a good sounding guitar.
wayne comes into my work all the time, hes a pretty cool dude.
Never happened
@MParseface38 I believe it's a baritone. So technically, from a regular guitar's standard, it has twenty two frets towards the bridge.
@kataishin its about the guitar, pickups, strings, wood of the guitar, amp, pedals and comfortability.
at least he's so honest.
i'd love to have this guitar. it has amazing finish work as seen. it just looks METAL! and 24FRETS!!! thats all you need to rock out.
this guitar rocks no matter what Wayne plays.
the only missing thing is a Floyd Rose IMHO.
the song is called destroyer by static-x good song
RIP Wayne 😢

He looks like a very cool guy. No show...surprising !
And fuck yeah, rhythm is everything lol. I haaaaaaaaate playing solos !
Touché!
it's the mix of both which makes it interessting... ;)
good solid rythm and a couple of nice solo's makes good shit.
Getcha pull brother
Baritones have a larger scale, body wise, and neck-wise, and they are usually tuned a perfect fifth (A-D-G-C-E-A), perfect fourth (B-E-A-D-F#-B), or a major third (C-F-A#-D#-G-C) lower than standard.

i can't find this guitar on the website i'll try ebay cause i would love to play this guitar
To play the music he played. He seemed as a quiet, good guy, who couldn't hurt a fly.
the song is called "Destroyer"
Koichi does use a Whammy yano mate.
wats the song they play at the biggining
I love how I can stand next to his opinion on shredding and entertaining people, I can t play leads for shit....but I know i can play a badass riff
Great!
My Esp guitar, but the headstock said LDT
LTD is a little cheaper version of ESP but it is still owned by ESP!
what the name of the back ground song?
and by the way...is esp guitars(not custom..) is good guitars?
Wasn't Wayne forever in love with dean guitars?🙂
That came later when the beard turned grey. :D
⭐️
@DaRKSiDOO without rythm you don't have anything to headbang to. it's a mix of both rythm and solo which makes it perfect ;)
@SlipknotChris66688 ESP stopped making it and my friend found one at a Guitar Center. I guess that you really have to look it up like a mad man, if you really want it. Best of luck to you!
What is the name of the guitar at 2:49?
@MParseface38 Giant octave harmonies between him and the other guy.
@jetlag51 Destroyer is playing in the background
i thought he was never leaving dean?
This was 3 years before he went to Dean.
100% agreed
Personally, The only guitars from them i like are my ESP- Gus G., with the floyd and reverse headstock, and the Original Explorer they had in the 90's, not the EX they have now.
RIP... drugs
They only gave him an LTD?
What I would like to know is: Why LTD? Why not ESP on the headstock. Is it just to prove that LTD guitars are just as good as an ESP
Wayne just look like my Cousin. Everytime I see my cousin I always ask him to spike his air and grow some beard. He refused 🤣
@yoe91
That is very true, a solid rhythm can beat a shitty solo, Example, Master of Puppets.
@SnakeheadVonZed I second that motion.
Cooooool !!!
Maybe it's a marketing thing. Like if the guys from Metallica want a custom guitar it will be ESP because there's many Metallica fans out there and that band is way more famous so the customers are willing to pay more.
what i want to know is why is there not a LEGIT ESP model of this guitar? why just LTD
alexi is GOD
How old is he?
@uofm97 Yea, you're right, it in fact shouldn't matter, just depends what the guy censoring decides.
now all about Dean Guitars xD ,in sherrifs v0ice from squldblLLles -idk B.C. Rich guitars are pretty Gain crunchy filled guitars on the real yo.-R% Team
@badkittiecece lol, that's laughable, do you play guitar? and if so how long?
"if that makes sense" lol
wayne is so badass
@TheDurzoBlint See that's the thing, it's not an opinion it's a fact. If you played guitar for just a month or more then you would also realize his musical skill.
@badkittiecece It was a comparison that works out perfectly. And of course he doesn't have skill, he knows it himself.
@kataishin that's not true. wood also say alot about sound if you would put some EMG's in a cheap stagg it would sound much worse than in a good gibson or ESP
@NavySealRay the rhythm guitarist says its all about rhythm ... im a lead guitarist i say its all about SOLOS ... even drummers say its all about the good beats not guitars at all
I think baritones have a lower sound...i dont know too much though you should try wikipedia that always helps
i still wonder what he needs 24 frets for.
@crazyguitardude666 lol when i first got my esp ltd v 200 i dropped it headstock first and i was just like shit the head stocks broken then i picked it up and it was fine now im used to the strength of it when i knocks something i know its fine.
@DaRKSiDOO It's all about the cowbell.
@MParseface38 i dont think its that he needs it i think that all guitars with a longer scale neck have 24 frets its to do with scale really i think
@NavySealRay np i just said that from my point of view :D
RIP
nor I, but if you love metal and you got nothing better to do, playing all day is the way to go...without learning solos.
@macHavoc
oh, wir sind ja landsleute. großartig :D
@DaRKSiDOO I'm bassist, Warwick enthusiasist, and I say it's all about crunchy/growly bass :D
Depends, fixed bridges have a nicer sustain and tone, floyd roses give you the option of doing a variety of masterclass tricks.
It's all in the matter of style, I doubt Static X songs, will need any superwhammy (unless Koichi is up for some wilder soloing).
@ballsrotten1 crap i hit the wrong thumb, my bad >
why doesn't he have ESP i mean he has only LTDS
Remember, playing guitar is all in your hands and hair.
@saintofbladez holy sh*t! r u serious? he looked like hes in his early 30s. but then again i thought dez fafara was 35.(but hes 46)
Will you ever pull out this video? He's no longer with ESP.
@MParseface38 So he can say he has 24 frets.
i think james hetfields' JH2 had a better diamond plate on it...shame they dont make those, i would have loved one :(
This is metallica James guitar
I kinda agree with wayne for me its more about making thick heavy sounds not shreddin the fuck outta my axe.
@MadDogMolenaar i think 1 FUCK is thire limit for the add
He swiched to dean :'(
He switched from Dean
Hi may be my father!
that song is Destroyer
1:29 "Wayyyne" :D
@MParseface38 or more than 2 strings
@saintofbladez WTF!? I'm 38 going gray and balding. life sucks for some of us i guess, oh well!
@MParseface38 Absolutely nothing since he doesn't shred or play leads. Why does he have a signature if you think about it, when he could just take any esp and put the pick ups he likes and it would sound pretty much the same? I don't know.
