Cait keeping 51% WR with 23% pick rate (despite her not being the most typical and intuitive ADC) really tells you a story.
You don't often see ADCs being able to LITERALLY 1 shot enemies with 1 auto attack. (remember we had durability update not so long ago? :D)
This video will be a little memory of 14.10 Caitlyn - that didn't even need First Strike or to be super fed to achieve this. It was... interesting.
Right now Cait (1:25), IE (-10% crit damage), Collector (-3 lethality) are all getting nerfed. Let's see how does she survive this.

@@ricardorodriguez8497 if I'm correct, both Jinx and Ashe have higher winrate, while both being easier to play; and they receive no nerfs in the next patch, while Cait not only getting huge nerfs, but also her two most significant items getting nerfed.

@@ricardorodriguez8497 Not even that, in this case its because of the pickrate. Theres a difference between 0.03% pickrate 53% winrate and 25% pickrate 51% winrate. High pickrate champions will always hover closer to the 50%
The motto of an ADC is, "Be one shot or be the one who one shots."
I mean, the role is a glass cannon with sustained dps. Obviously Cait got out of hand and will get a huge nerf next patch because Riot balance team are a bunch of morons removing the AD from zeal items and putting it into raw damage items, so the adcs that don't need attack speed just one shot non stop.

ADC are some of the strongest early game champions, that's why they go in sololanes and dominate melee opponents who literally can not play around it unless they're an assassin. it's also why double ADC bot with HOB was so fucking broken, you could get complete lane domination with two marksmen just spamming hail of blades procs.

According to my math one single caitlyn headshot against targets snared by W was dealing 220 base damage + 500% AD. In the video you see her having almost 600AD so it means that 1 headshot was about to deal around 3200 damage, i think it's correct because 50 armor reduces damage by 33% and it was near the amount enemies had in the vídeo and they took like 2.2k damage overall.
current ldr legit makes you ignore almost half of the armor so its most likely not %33 more like %20-22 reduce in damage, so its closer to the raw damage + collector lethality
Already had an inkling Yuntal Bleed is perfect to go with Collector, I feel dumb to never thought of Cait optimization. Was contented with the community something that only Ashe and Belveth has the best optimization of Yuntal bleed.
Maybe people will try Jhin next, Collecting on Yuntal Bleed will try to finish off incase, 4th shot didn't execute.

I thought the moment that the changes came through, that Yuntal had to be built on Jhin. Afterall, he basicly only has 3 good items now. IE, Collector and LDR are the best items for him and after that most are pretty shiit. Yuntal seems to be the best option followed by Rapidfire and Shieldbow. Shieldbow is so shiit, that no champ buys it and you would only buy Rapidfire for the passive and crit. Yuntal could be a good first purchase on Juin actually, since his 4th attack always crits. So unlike other crit champs, you can guarantee the passive to proc. The more time goes on, the worse it technically gets, but it still has ad and crit, unlike some other options.
Yeah call me crazy but in a game where everyone lost their shit over neeko having above 100% ap scaling on ULT, i dont think any ability should ever have 500% scaling for any reason.
1:00 Fun fact, Senna here has the 25% dmg reduction from the support item.
And she took a crit at 2059 dmg + 114 true dmg
So -> 2059 / 0.750 = 2 745.333333 dmg from 1 auto.

@@Keurgui1 True, but Senna had 90 armour here, and later some targets have 130/140 armour, despite being typically squishy champions. That's still giving a reasonable amount of damage reduction, or enough to be worth considering if you wanted to calcuate the raw damage done from the damage taken.

the reduction from armor was already applied to the 2059 crit by excluding only the 25% dmg reduction of the supp item, we don't need to make the calculation about armor reduction again since dmg calculation goes like.
OG Dmg -> - Armor/RM -> - Dmg reduction.

I thought she seemed over tuned when I was playing Sett with extra armor and she did 1700 damage to me still. My poor marksmen and mage teammates struggled even more.
Yeah I figured she was crazy when my death timer showed a 2.4k dmg headshot when I caught her out. I was Azir. She shot me with my shield up and while I had armor through Zhonya's.

I noticed it in my last game, I was playing a casual game with Ornn, and she comes, gives me three basics (one is the passive) and strikes out, 4346 damage. (I had like 300 armor)

Why do I always only find out about this when it's nerfed?
You can look at tierlists more often and follow winrates+pickrates. Its not hard.
Also, you can just think such large changes through. Crit items got more crit. IE got WAAY more ad. LDR got an amror pen% buff. The adc, which scales best with high ad and crit is Cait. Adcs such as Nilah benefit immensely too. (Keep an eye out for her in the coming patches. I suspect she became much more powerful.) Older crit adcs also benefit a ton. Jinx, Twitch, Sivir just scale a LOT faster.
On the other hand, Jhin lost a lot of his previous items, completely shifting his build and playsytle. And while Draven benefits a lot from ad and crit too, his enemies now scale faster and harder, which indirectly limits him. Samira has a similar issue, where she gets outscaled much sooner.
Mf scales better now too, so she benefits. Kallista, Ez and Varus hardly benefit, if at all. Idk about the little dragon, but he should be better now too. Vayne doesnt benefit really.
Moving away from adcs. Yasuo and Yone benefit slightly, because they get more ad. Tryndamere benefits a lot, especially since he got buffs. Belveth benefits a lot, so does Viego. Assassins, who build Collector benefit slightly. And jus generally any off-meta crit build on champs, which normally dont build crit got buffed. Think crit Sion or Crit Panth. I am not saying they are better than the meta builds, but they just became more viable.
You also have to keep in mind, that a few other items got changed as well, but if you want an actual patch rundown, listen to a streamers reaction or an actual rundown from stuff like Skillcaped or whatever they are called.

@@axellagoccia260 Thing is, she's an ADC, not an assassin. At least with Zed/Talon there is some counterplay with range and wards.
Note that the Caitlyns aren't fed, they didn't snowball. That's just how strong she is, and there honestly isn't much you can do to counter her.
@@La4geas Yeah its not really fair that the "sniper" character is running around at lightspeed dashing, zoning you out with traps, and putting out a stable 2000 dps on you through 200 armor.

As a Caitlyn player, yes, she absolutely needs a nerf. But they're nerfing/"adjusting" the wrong things. Cutting that much damage off of her trap damage removes a massive amount of reward for her biggest form of skill expression (if you're walking into traps/face checking bushes when Caitlyn is nearby that's entirely your fault)
Her headshots benefited a lot from the item changes, so I really would've liked to see them just nerf the damage/crit scaling on her general headshots, rather than gutting the bonus damage from something you have to be smart about using. She's still gonna do half people's HP with standard headshots and people will keep complaining about it.
Also it's WILD to me that Caitlyn gets these nerfs while jinx who is at 52% winrate across ALL RANKS loses a whole 0.25 AD per level (total 4.25 AD at level 18) ?????

As a note, and because I do not see anyone talking about it, Thornmail is bugged in arena. Does not apply grevious wounds at all. Was playing Leona against a Mundo/Nami, After one round, no reduction tracked, lost round. Bought morellonomicon, and not only were stats tracked, but also reduced healing to where I was able to win the round/game. Wondered if you could verify so I know if I am crazy or not.
I haven’t seen such numbers since season 2-3 bankplank.

Nerfs don't even fully adress the issue. The main problems are the headshot and ult. Ult gets nerfed, which is good, but her headshot doesn't get nerfed, only the bonus from her traps. But in the video there were clearly some oneshots on non-trapped enemies as well, which would be completely unchanged with these nerfs.

I’ll be honest. I was abusing Caitlyn in ranked until I finally got bored. She was banned in majority of my games, or getting first picked on blue side. No doubt she was way too strong. Definitely getting a nerf next patch. However, the nerfs are not even relevant to why she’s so powerful and yet the Caitlyn players are still whining about how weak she is. I cant tell if they are deluded, or dumb.

I was in a single normal game when patch 14.10 came out and immediately learned to ban her over Blitz as Soraka. I'd rather get hooked into oblivion than watch my team get one shot at 12 mins into match.
At least the blitz has to hit a skillshot to make you die

the reason why is cause her passive got alot of buffs as compensation for the previous crit item set. since she now not only has faster access to crit but more ad+crit dmg she scales way too fast. the same thing would of happened to yas and yone if they weren't pre nerfed .

Hi, I have experienced a bug, literally full tank Zac oneshotted me while he was riding the herald and did me like 1600 true damage. I was playing Naafiri but I can't watch the replay since the game says it's broken or whatever the game won't let me watch the replay...
I tried again with the replay but the same outcome, the 'replay' file is corrupted, that I have to delete and download again or whatever.
More info: Zac dealt me all the damage, all the 1600 true damage, and the herald only dealt me like 200 damage (I saw this when I watched the death damage) (I had 1700 health and something as Naafiri)
