, i always feel like i lose my style when winter comes, i just want to be warm and comfortable, can you do a video on how to still have style in winter
This channel has helped me so much with my personal style. In my free time I find myself knitting scrunchies and headbands, crocheting filet coverups to go with my undershirts, and making little tags to go on my things. This is the first time I’ve thought about fashion as something for myself, and I’m adoring it! As for something to hang from your overall loop, maybe a snazzy shoe horn? I’ve seen some lovely antique ones with really fun handles, so I think they could make for an eye catching accessory.
Honestly for trends, I really feel like you can tell who the ones are that have had it as a feature of their personal style for a while are because they are always able to make it blend into their outfit so well that it's barely noticeable as a trendy item. For example, the rise of bows is great, but you can clearly see the people who have already been experimenting with them for a while and who the ones that are new to styling them are just by looking at the pieces that they're buying and what they're choosing to highlight. A large feature of my taste in fashion in rooted in jfashion and himekaji, specifically the styles of vintage liz lisa (late 2000s-early 2010s) and when you're part of a community like that, the use of bows have been invented and reinvented over and over again to the point where everyone in the community knows exactly what they like and how to use the feature tastefully and subtly. And that even goes for when the item with the bow is the statement piece. It just flows so well with the rest of the outfit that they are only part of a larger whole and not something that the person feels the need to specifically draw attention to because it's just a part of their style and doesn't need fanfare. I do really agree with the pink lady apple theory because vintage j-fashion is just so difficult to get into due to how rare some of the items are. It's just a natural consequence of having very limited season by season production and the fact that they're old and that the majority of the items are found overseas. Because of that, there have been instances where I'll try to buy a substitute for a specific item that I desperately wanted, but in the end I was never satisfied. It takes so much patience in the west to build up a closet that is satisfactory because there is such a limited community of people that would even have any pieces because you would have to go out of your way to try and find them. I think, because of that, I have been able to mold my sense of fashion more distinctly due to the limited quantity which forces me to figure out my personal style a lot more so as to not make bad (and very expensive) purchases. In any case, this is a great video! I really enjoy your channel and I appreciate the sincere discussions and thought that you put into what you way and how you advise people. These lessons are things that I was only able to learn after far too many purchases of pieces that I didn't even want that badly that I only half-liked because I thought that them being sought after meant that they were bound to be good. You are saving people's wallets big time. LOL
my style is literally completely different than yours ,, i love maximalism and lots of pattern mixing and very feminine styles ,, but i love your videos because i enjoy how intentional you are with how you dress and i love your approach to styling ,, your functionality of your clothing is what inspires me the most because I tend to dress a bit impractical a lot of the time . I also struggle with dressing appropriately for different occasions and your perspective helps me be more mindful when picking out what to wear 🤍
I (excuse my language) fucking love your glasses omg they give you so much character and look sooo good on you they inspire me to get more interesting glasses next time bc mine bore me so much at the moment
omg dyspraxia mention!!! hello fellow dyspraxic, it’s interesting to recontextualise your content and fashion choices based on similar accessibility needs. i don’t know many people, especially girls our age, who have dyspraxia so it’s refreshing to see you mention it in reference to awkward belt buckles
I have completly fallen in love with glasses chains as a acessory they have really livened up my style. My friends make chains and sell on artist alleys and events and gave me a pair as a birthday present, a simple bronze one with leaves and white roses. I wear a lot of green and florals so they were perfect and I loved them and have continued looking for more, i get more as gifts by them and also bought this lovely silver moon pair and a golden sun one from a seller at a nerd christmas market. Slowly but surely growing my little collection for various moods and outfits. But that first chain is still my go to.
please make a video of your thoughts on lost after you finish it, me and my family are watching it for the first time and we hustled finished it tonight and wow!
TOE SOCKS TOE SOCKS OH MY GOD, the way these socks have changed my feet, they have helped with my ankle and foot pain even. Our toes are meant to spread to help with balance. So tired of narrow shoes and even narrow socks. Love this go offffffff bri'ish girlyyyyy
This is so interesting bc literally every time I wear toe socks I dislocate multiple toes? I have a collagen disorder that makes my joints too loose so that probably has to do with it, but it’s so interesting that they help you with foot pain
those glasses yes absolutely!!!! i actually need to wear glasses and if i worn them id get the john lenon ones that you also like!!! theyre fabulous i think and they remind me of doctors in old movies, but really most glasses in the past were round... but for some reason it bothers me too much to have something on my face and in front of my eyes that i don't like wearing glasses (also dont wear piercings or makeup)
The glasses on glasses makes me laugh. I have been doing this FOR YEARS and I've always thought it was the antithesis of cool, but needs must!! I do have some prescription sunglasses, but I also wear bifocals (just wait, young lady, just you wait). And there's no way I'll pay for prescription sunglass bifocals. So I usually find myself wearing sunglasses over my glasses, which means my glasses tend to be small and my sunglasses tend to be big. And I also have sunglasses that are almost exactly the same shape as my glasses, so they fit very nicely over the top. After years of doing this, I've discovered that recently sunglass brands (cheap ones) have caught on and are producing sunglasses that do the job so well! btw I basically wear sunglasses year round. If I am outdoors I have to wear them.
I bought a pair of perscription glasses that have a clip-on magnetic sunglasses that you can put on top. I think they aren't that much more expensive then normal glasses and they're so convenient!
I heard a lovely old lady say that she takes sunglasses to the eye doc and gets her prescription lenses put in bc the frames are often more interesting xx
Not sure if they ship to uk, but try something like zenni-optical. Its where I get mine, I have oval wire like thin glasses from there. You just need your pupil distance and your prescription to order
@@marigoldmay either on your prescription papers, or another route i did ages ago before having found it on my papers was my family all lined up and took out a straight edge ruler and had one another look straight forward. Measure the distance from centre of pupil to the next. It is on the website on how to do it aswell I believe.
I also recommend Zenni - you can buy frames you like with non-Rx lenses and then have your optometrist put your lenses in. Frames are not top quality, but they've worked out well for me, and my Rx is a right horror.
A carabiner, or d ring as we americans call it, attached to your belt buckle is a very common lesbian fashion choice, so be aware, you might be sending off signals youre not meaning to.
I once found a pair of Versace sunnies on the beach and slotted them on top of my regular glasses and I’ve been wearing that shit ever since. Devising a little 3d printed clip to implement on top of my glasses arms that would take the weight off my ears tho….
Hearing you talk about the endless style possibilities of glasses is exactly what i needed, coming to terms with the fact that I need to wear my glasses🥸🫶
i love to see beautiful outfits and i don’t hate fashion, but for me all the colors and forms are overstimulating sometimes so i just wear black. but!!!!! i’m looking forward to finding interesting accessories
I really would love to have tabi socks to wear with my flip-flops or pretty much anything. On the other hand I dont really like toe socks because my feet are already wide enough and that would be uncomfortable when wearing them with anything else than flip-flops.🙃
I can’t tell if this is an accent you put on to be funny and satirical or if this is really how you speak irl. Please can you confirm as I like the videos and want to know how I feel about it going forward
I love my glasses chain as someone who constantly puts on and takes off my glasses, at least with the chain I don't lose them or leave them on the shelf at a grocery store or something 😅 I found someone on depop that makes them but maybe etsy has some too!
, i always feel like i lose my style when winter comes, i just want to be warm and comfortable, can you do a video on how to still have style in winter
U r so right ! This is such a good idea oh my def going on my list xxx
Same, people that meet me in the Summer won’t recognize me in Winter. I always think it will be different next year, but it never is.
Same, but comfort and not getting cold is priority over style in winter. I dont care what others think. They can freeze in their trendy clothers.

I've been putting a carabiner on that hammer loop since I was like 14, its very nice detailing. When you sit down it creates a super fun line

have you seen the glasses with earrings studs, they're quite pretty.
An idea: Can you decorate the dungaree loop with a scarf tied in a knot or a bow?
Love the idea of the carabiner on the dungaree loop but living in London I would feel quite worried leaving my keys dangling at knee height
Love you and your sense of humor 😁
Thank you love yooooou xxxx
maybe you need a pretty hair comb that opens like a butterfly knife. for your dungarees
PLS YES OH MY THAT SOUNDS AMAZING !!!

Have you tried switching to barefoot shoe? They changed my life
@bbappzz98 yes! all my shoes are now either barefoot or wide fit its helped so much with stability of all my leg joints
This is so interesting bc literally every time I wear toe socks I dislocate multiple toes? I have a collagen disorder that makes my joints too loose so that probably has to do with it, but it’s so interesting that they help you with foot pain
Not the 90 year old man vs the 90 year old dog 😂😭

I really would love to have tabi socks to wear with my flip-flops or pretty much anything. On the other hand I dont really like toe socks because my feet are already wide enough and that would be uncomfortable when wearing them with anything else than flip-flops.🙃
