THATS AMAZING. I've seen some of the next steps, and the finished Haori looks about my size. What length were each of the strips you used. Also, how many black and how many green strips did you use
cut the strips width of fabric x 4.75 inches, if you want to do the trim down method that is in the video. you can also choose to cut them WOF x 4.5 inches, with a quarter inch seam allowance, although this is less accurate. the number of straps depends on the length of finished yardage you need, depending on your height and size.
When you sew the 4 patch units together into a row, then rows into yardage, these seams stop the 4 patch seams from coming undone. For pressing them, please see the 18 min mark for pressing the seams in a clockwise direction with release the middle. This same technique is used when you sew 4 patch units into rows, then the rows into yardage. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

Hi! You're very sweet to ask. Life happened this year, between a move, wedding, and new jobs we haven't had a lot of time to produce new content. But we have shot some new videos and are continuing to get back in the swing of things. We'll be back with new content very soon!
Hi! The finished squares are 4" each, but this measurement can be adjust based on the size you are making yours so that you get full squares and no partials around the seams and edges. Good luck!
We used 4.5"x width of fabric(usually about 42")strips for a 4" finished square but this can be adjusted based on the length you need to make your own so that you get a full square and don't end up with partials around the edges and seams.
This is the most complete and detailed video of how to make a Tanjirou haori.

Hello! I wanted to ask how you stopped the seams from undoing themselves after you cut the sewn strips into the connected squares?
