Still doing stupid stuff, occasionally saying I’m too old for this but do it anyway. I’m actually surprised I’ve made it to 70. That scenery looks stunning with the snow. Your cattlegrid park up near Wanlochead was one i put on Park4night. It was removed as people complained that you couldn't park there as it was a cattlegrid! True, but lots of room so not blocking it at all!

Ouch!! That looked painful. Merino socks are the best for toasty toes, they also don't get too warm like other wool or thermal socks. I can also recommend Core Spun Merino jumpers, thermals etc, very light, pack small but nice and warm and surprisingly dry very quickly too.
@@unadventurousmandy They are worth it, they last quite a while too. I have some Falke long merino socks I used to wear under boots that have lasted about 6 years and had lots of wear. My current favourites are some Icebreaker ones with some cushioning under foot. Their stuff is expensive, but very good. I've managed to pick some jumpers up in secondhand clothing stores. The other one to look out for is Kathmandu - they have a UK website and a few stores, their Core spun jumpers are good - I buy them when they have a sale on.Stay warm!
I loved the pictures of the frost. So beautiful. And the landscape does look pretty with the white snow covering it. I am glad that crazy John was not hurt more than he was. It could have been so much more serious. And I am glad that you were taking the video and not doing the sledding. It was nice to see you having fun with your friends and getting to relax for a bit. We were up there last week but it was -8 and our moho water system froze as did all the motorhome service points. It was too cold even for a menopausal gal! We came back south.
