  • Got a Rabid Elephant Portal Drum. Very pricey, but I got a good deal on one so figured I’d check it out and see if it’s worth it for “just a kick”.
But damn, so far I gotta say it’s super easy to get amazing kick sounds from it so I already think it’s a keeper! Additional drums coming from the trusty Squarp Rample.
Also playing around with the new Mannequins Mangrove with the PPM expander, and it’s just a great sounding oscillator that makes some pleasingly wild sounds, the melody is that through the SSF Steady State Gate and Intellijel Sealegs. Side note on Sealegs, I know it’s a delay and sold as one, but the reverb on it is better than pretty much any other standalone reverb unit I have tried.
I usually use the Intellijel Atlantis for melodies, but it’s just stupidly huge sounding for bass, maybe I should get a second haha. Intellijel just doesn’t miss.
Modulation courtesy of Acid Rain Maestro, somehow 6 clocked modulation sources aren’t enough, might also need a second one of these haha.
Sequencing courtesy of the Five12 Vector, maybe it’s because it was my first proper sequencer, but it just makes so much sense to me. Also additional drum stuff sequenced by a 1u Intellijel Steppy, how handy!
Also discovered that I can use my OP-1 as an interface/minimal DAW to connect my wonderful sounding Instruo headphone out direct to my phone when I’m recording video, think it might be helping with some bus compression which is nice. The OP-1 is sick like that. So enjoy direct audio for a change, headphones recommended or whatever.
    Anyways hope you guys enjoy my dumb little modular jam, still lots to learn! #modular #eurorack #eurocrack #intellijel #intellijelatlantis #modularsynth #mutableinstruments #op1 #rabidelephant #portaldrum
