Warhammer 40,000 - Where are the Rank and File Named Characters?

Why are there no rank and file named characters in Warhammer 40,000 lore that are well known? Why is always Captains, Chaplains, Librarians and Chapter Masters that get the love?

Hell yeah, Sergeants deserve more love.
I'm about to assemble a Company Heroes squad with a Captain, using that new Horus Heresy MK3 command squad that they're dropping. The "Captain" is going to be the squad Sergeant and they're just going to be a really badass squad, with varied wargear, as opposed to a command squad. I'm going to use that smaller standard that comes with the kit as the squad standard, not the company standard.
I also often take my first company Sergeants and run them as Lieutenants/Captains for my battleline company squads.
Absolutely agree that, in the lore, we need more representation when it comes to rank and file badasses.
