- For today's video, I go back to basics and investigate one location based off of one liminal space image. This image was featured in my Liminal Space Waterslides video, and was point out by a commenter, @domisbored150 Hopefully you enjoy this more laid back casual style video. As we examine Edgewater Resort, a hotel located in Duluth, Minnesota. Which actually has quite the history to it. As you'll see in the video. Please enjoy :3

This was my favorite hotel growing up when we would visit Duluth from the cities. The hotel always felt super empty besides the water park, the odd and out dated theming really gave the place a creepy feeling that I can’t really explain. There would be huge empty sections of the hotel with little furnishing mixed with spotty tiki theming
That's actually very intriguing to hear. I kinda wish I got to see this side of the hotel, that definitely would've added to the liminal feel. Thank you for sharing this information with us 😁
My family's pretty poor and we never take trips, so I've never found waterparks very nostalgic or liminal

This is super cool! my friend requested this! i said i would request something to but i dont really have anything to request other than the miller hill mall. i just find malls nostalgic, especially the miller hill mall. I used to go there when i was little, now i dont really go there anymore. It would be so cool to see my suggestion!! anyways, nice video! hope you suceed in your future videos!

My brother just sent me thing video becouse we actually have stayed here lots of times. We used to call it freaky tiki Tom’s for obvious reasons. It was actually my favorite hotel for a while. If you’re ever in Duluth, it’s definitely a place worth staying.
Honestly, look at the prices. For what it's worth it really seems not bad. Although not being a kid anymore and also not having a kid myself. I'm not sure if I could even go XD good stuff though for sure 👍
@@Shookey now that me and my brother are older we usually stay at the hotels right on the lake which are really nice. For the record I also though the rooms with windows over the pool were weird as a kid.

Agreed, although I'm at that age where it would just be really awkward... That's I prefer to explore abandoned places 😅

I find it interesting how the mainland attempts to mimic a fraction of our paradise power.
especially in Minnesota in this case which if my knowledge on mainland states is true it's one of the coldest in all the nation.

@@Shookey just the opposite my liminality friend. we love it when mainlanders say Aloha or learn any scope of Hawaiian. As a visitor to the mainland i noticed we are romanticized as this perfect paradise but in truth it's become only surface exclusively these days.
After the Maui fire it was revealed our Hawaiian government is corrupt.
So anyone using our kine words is actually an honor instead of cringe.

This place feels like a more cut-back version of Great Wolf Lodge with different theming.

Hey, I’m still subbed. I’m still watching just because we disagree sometimes doesn’t mean anything. I used to disagree with some of Literature teachers. I still loved the class. I still made an A. It’s no big deal….. I’d definitely love to see more videos, looking at specific locations and delving into the history.
No worries, I wasn't trying to call anyone out specifically! On the losing subs thing, I loose around 2-4 everyday (haven't gained subs in probably over a year) and last video I lost 8. Maybe it was just coincidence. Either way, I'll always be around! And thank YOU, for sticking around. Even if in the future, we still might not disagree
