I'm not scared anymore, of course, but their appearance still kinda give me the chills tbh xD
My brother and I used to watch this as kids whenever it was on tv. I remember wanting the VHS so bad lol, but it was hard to come by.
i was six years old when i saw this movie, this scene was my favorite part. i used to always listen to this song and watch this video for two hours straight lmao. im now thirteen today. i still love this movie and this scene
I'm an EFL teacher in China. I plan to show this movie to my students. This is one of my favorite parts.
F chyna
@@KirksCORNER1983 Oooookaaaaay..... That wasn't strange or random at all.
@@Steppenwolf27 it was a response to your above message. I hate china with there communism and spying on us Americans and invading our airspace and giving us the China Virus I can't wait for the war. Revenge will be SWEEEET.
@@Steppenwolf27 your not supposed to be on the internet if your in China so your breaking the law.
@@KirksCORNER1983 It's "you're," not "your."
Am I the only ones that thought they were the most friendly out of everyone?
David Bowie as Jareth The Goblin King
Jennifer Connelly as Sarah Williams
I always loved the way they moved around
I taught my youngest brother who was 5 at the time that the chilly's weren't actually scary they just loved to have fun
This was literally my favorite scene from the entire movie, they seem like a fun gang to hang with!! Sadly I can't take off my head though 😅
How about an ear?
David Bowie, the myth, the man. Always with style and grace 😎
This is one of those scenes that don't scare me now, but I know for a fact that had I seen this as a kid I would've been terrified by it
This scared the mess out of me as a 6 year old. What were my parents thinking. It still haunts my corners of my mind. (Seems awesome now) lol
I was never scared of these guys, the tunnel full of hands was what got me as a child.
Yes, that was odd. Talking hands. Wtf???
I forgot about that. 😮
"Where Helping hands!" Up or Down.
I absolutely LOVED these guys since I first saw the movie as a young child
as a kid i loved this scene! as an adult i still do
I loved this as a kid
Definitely my favorite part of the entire movie when I was a child. I knew the lyrics by heart and would always sing along. 😅
Snake eyes!
Why am I just now realizing how terrifying this scene is even tho I've watched this everyday for the past 3 weeks
Whoever did this song is a genius. How they made the song sound like these creatures are fun and safe to be around with them dancing and having fun and then you hear those low tone piano keys and reveal that these creatures are dangerous.
truly, both a lirycal and visual masterpice.
In the sequel, I can picture Sarah and her daughter encountering these guys and bursting into the same song.
I feel like if some producers gave the Jim Henson company the same amount of money most blockbuster superhero movies get now, they'd be able to make those felt fucks sentient.
Not saying that'd be a bad thing. It'd just be fun to watch.
I was born in 1988 and my dad watched it before I was 4 of course. Big Bowies fans here. I had the worst Goblin nightmares as a child. But my fav movie to this day hands down!!! ❤
To think Danny-John Jules (Cat) and Charles Augins (Queeg) from Red Dwarf played two of their voices :D
Absolutely true, you get that vibe anyway! There's definitely a bit of Cat in there and definitely the bossiness of Queeg!
That was how I was introduced to this movie - there was a Red Dwarf site that focused on the music in the show, but there were sections for what songs the actors did outside Red Dwarf, so this was included.
I ended up liking this song so much, I checked out the movie. :)
Danny-John Jules was also Milton Wordsworth from a The Story Makers.
I love this movie
watched the movie for the first time after playing the map on the vr game walkabout mini golf, and this has been stuck in my head ever since
I'm shocked there have been no metal covers of this song. Unless anyone knows? Let me know. I've been looking lol
i'm not shocked . this wouldn't work as metal . but then again that's never stopped anyone from being delusional before
The closest I can think to covering this is Devin Townsend or T-Ride
