I hate RS3 boss guides that feel like im reading a textbook. This was the best Solak guide I've seen. Slow, covered the details, but concise. So much less overwhelming than every other guide I have seen. Thanks!
You lack something called patience. Something's 100% need to be watched in depth to get a better understanding. Also several rs3 boss guides contain timestamps anyways. 🥱🙄🤦♂️
@@Kingsdragonz Sometimes you don't want to have a deep understanding and just want to get by and play the game. I play the game in my leisure time, I don't have time to study the intricacies of every encounter and optimal setups. It's not a lack of patience, it's making sure that my precious free time is spent actually enjoying the game. Getting optimal kills is not a concern of mine at any boss, I just want to do the content, often with my friends. This guide got me as far as I needed to reach that goal.
this guide made solak look very doable, and after watching this and your solak coach video i also managed to get a solo kill after about an hour of trying. first few kills were inconsistent but now i'm not failing anymore and i'm already feeling comfortable with 15 kc. great guide!
So i used to duo solak back in the day, and found out yesterday that solo solak was possible. I then found your guide, watched it and applied your techniques to the fight and after dying multiple times i was able to solo, THANK YOU! Keep making guides like this, they are easy to follow and understand and they just get the job done, awesome man Thanks again!!!
amazing guide my man! i was not able to ever find people to solak with but with this video i dont need them lmao. got my first few solo kills already and more to come :) really appreciate it
You do an excellent job explaining fights, looking forward to progressing this fight now, I was able to get my hardmode zuk and raksha kills thanks to your videos
You can threads for arms(can do like 3 gcds via sap volley and t95 spec , just target solak himself, and then can use scythe legs(will finish souls for 5 stack volley core)
In my experience, it's faster to skulls the arms and volley the legs, especially with t90 gear. With max gear, you have a lot more creative liberties with how you approach Solak, but spending the 60 adrenaline to scythe legs might mean not one cycling core which is not very fun for most people.
you're telling me lmao, I'm getting to p5 pretty much every kill, but I'm so bad at pushing. I've gotten 1 tile away multiple times though, so it's only a matter of time
I'm currently working on getting my first kill myself lol. Once my kills are consistent, you can expect a guide to come out. Solo Rago is by far the hardest worthwhile thing in the game to do (there are other things like Solo Yakamaru and Solo AoD, but those are not worth it by any means) and I want it to be comprehensive, so it's going to take at least a month and a half to finish so I can get one kill on each week for the guide. Alternatively, I might just make a 6-part guide where I go over how changes from week to week. I haven't decided yet, but either way, I'll keep you guys updated on the Solo Rago progress :)
In my experience, Necro will get you faster killed based on how much effort you're putting in. I'm averaging around 30 seconds faster kills with Necro than I am with ranged doing pretty much exactly the same stuff. I would imagine at the highest end, necro + ranged hybrid or bringing training dummies to drop aggro with necro would be the fastest, but it's hard to say for sure.
Ay bro so I can base duo fine, solo tho I run out of food by last phase, or reaver dies or something always happens. I'm alternating devo and reso and camping melee prayer idk what the prob is maybe I can stream a kill on disc for you and you can coach me or tell me what I'm doing wrong??
Yeah! If you're in my discord, just tag me when you get the chance and we'll set something up. If you're okay with doing it on stream, I think it would be fun to stream a coaching session as well, but that's totally up to you :)
It doesn't matter which order you do them in. Technically, Disruption Shield/Resonance would be better, but the timing is a lot more strict and there isn't a huge benefit unless you're consistently missing prayer flicks, anyway. If you're hitting prayer flicks, you'll easily heal back up to full, especially on arms and legs. The cost of mistiming that disruption shield means you die/get signed in power armor armor (or dying in tank armor if you aren't full hp) vs. the cost of using powerburst is having to heal up around 6k hp (which you will if you're hitting your prayer flicks). These are guides for people with no Solak experience. Try to keep that in mind when commenting.
Using tank gear for this video (mostly because I don't have power gear). Dodge chance does nothing against Solak so, the tank gear is pretty much exclusively for the 4500 extra hp.
100%, typically my guides are based around what I consider to be minimum requirements, so if you have better gear, then definitely use better gear. I will never use optimal gear in a guide unless the type of content I am showing requires optimal gear.
Then t80 power armor is off the table? I only ask because for t90 kili miniquest they put solak as an alternative requirement and wasnt sure if that meant it's only viable for a group. @@raphtheboygenius
Yeah, it just depends on the type of player you are. Some people find more accomplishing in doing stuff solo, other people just can't find teams for Solak and Vorago so they would rather learn solo if means they get access to the boss. If you goal is money, 5-7 man Solak keeps is some of the best GP/hr in the game.
@@raphtheboygenius yeah i bet its oke im just saying especially with necro/ranged its almost as fast as like 2017 aod times like < 3 minutes or a little above to like 3:30 ish

Got my first solo Solak kill, it was 12 mins and it was no food. I got it on my third try with necro tank gear.

great guide nice
Great vid. There's no reason not to charge pads as you DPS. He gets stunned and you have free damage/healing for a few seconds.

Good content bro #kasinooooo
Is solak easier with other styles? I feel like the adren from resummons make long fights pretty hard on necromancy.

Why do i get the tornado and you dont? :S
If you don't meet the dps check, then you'll have to deal with the tornado. You only outs to the tornado are debilitate and reflect or barricade.
@@raphtheboygenius figured out, didnt know about that so much easier after putting in some real rotation to it lol
or just 5man it in 3 minutes or less without mechanics
I mean, if this was not a solo guide, I would agree lol. Most bosses you can skip every mechanic by bringing more people besides Vorago.
