i've finally managed to do finish my reaper crew with Solak, it took quite a few attempts though and he's way harder than Raksha (but still more fun), phase 1 was a breeze and i killed all the roots everytime, escaping the root attack is easy too even if you don't dive/surge the opposite of them, one thing i've learned is that you HAVE to cycle defensive abilities, like devotion, reflect and resonance, these three will keep you alive most of the fight even if it takes longer and you'll go from eating all your food to eating almost nothing. devotion when you kill the small roots is a good tip because each time you kill one, devotion is extended so you take way less damage. almost all the mechanics can be done without being perfect, some of them will have to be done twice (like the blue orb) BUT you shouldn't mess up the 2 last parts, when you get sent to the spirit real to kill the elf and the very last moment when you have to DPS Solak until he dies : DO NOT use all your specs (just some of them), volley of souls and all that when you kill the elf or else you'll be left dry when killing Solak at the end because if you don't kill Solak before he finishes his attack then you die instantly, it's best to enter the spirit realm twice than use your hard hitting abilities there. use vulnerability bomb and splitsoul and living death as well as everything you have to end Solak. oh and a big mistake i did for a beginner : when you're at the point like him in the video at 22:49, recast darkness, recast death mark, drink overload again because death mark works only for 10 minutes, darkness for 12 minutes and overload (with the lantadyme incense sticks) is 8 minutes, what happened to me was i almost killed Solak (he only had 1371 hitpoints left) but he killed me before i did, because my death mark had ran out, so just be sure to recast it if you can't kill him under 10 minutes (and that's for most beginners). and i did use a blood reaver without scrolls, they aren't necessary because when you cycle defensives you don't really need any intensive method of healing and you don't have to use the prism of restoration, i only had a vampyrism aura (although i think once you understand defensive abilities, you better use a DPS aura instead). and one thing that's gonna sting, the penance powder effect is lost on death, so be prepared to lose quite a few million GP's, only use ONE at a time, if you don't have enough money you can replace it by one or two flask of super restore but you'll have to monitor your prayer points (and i personally tried using both one super restore pot and i had an overload salve as well, the overload salve alone ISN'T enough to sustain T99 prayers + protect melee/soulsplit, and powder of penance is much more chill). one final tip, towards the end of the fight you can normally use excalibur for free emergency healing again, that can be useful but don't do it during the last two parts of the fight (elf fight + solak end). very good guide by the way, easy to understand and can be studied to do faster kills as well. and i confirm the stun bypass mechanic still works just fine.
I was just doing Solak solo, and died to the blight tornado all the time.... Now i think i got the hang of it, but i will still manual lol. Great guide, (You're making pvm so easy)
I recommend bringing like 2 sharks and weaving them into your pre fight rotation on all bosses to heal up from life transfer, eating doesn't use global cooldown so you can eat while commanding ghost and invoke death etc
Another great video! i've watched Solak guides before but yours are very approachable and im all for the low effort methods . got my first kill! about the question you asked. i wouldn't say no to it, kinda like your vorkath guides i used both of them the zemo skip and the non skip version. mainly did my 100 with the non skip since vorkath doesn't pay enough for the effort :/
so i came here specificly because it said 'root skip' i get kills but don't get consistent root skips..mostly duos...and i watched the whole thing and there was litterly nothing explained directly to how root skip work or how to do it consistently..its generaly a learner friendly full kill guide but not what the title says.
lol maybe it's just me, but I always understood a root skip as not getting any roots at all, like you phase him before he does the 2nd big attack (the one you vit potted) to even summon the roots on the edges of the arena. I'm sure if you type in "Solak root skip" in the search bar here on RUclips, you will see videos of actual root skips, just doesn't make sense to name a video "easiest solo root skip" and not get a root skip.

Cheers dude, finally got reaper crew thanks to your guide!
That boss is very much intimidating, it's the last boss I need for reaper. Will give it a try, but so many things to remember.
solid guide! i just got into solak. cleared loads of questions i had.
Another tip, I would recommend Erethdor's grimoire as a viable book option especially since this is the only place it doesn't degrade while using it.
@criticalthinkers3787 thats why he said it DOES NOT DEGRADE HERE as an argument for why to use grim here specificly
got my first solo kill thanks bro, big fkn help

Vorkath is a giant FU from the devs. Everything about it is designed wrong
I got a grim yesterday! I wanna try with. Hell hound and T95. I’ll give it a go soon. Great video!
I just got my first solo kill. ty mister frog!
Very good guide 👍 even for someone just trying to learn boss

any idea if the stun mechanic bug still works?
Another tip is kill the nw storm storm before the sw storm/clear stacks.
Thank you
