Hey all, I fucked up put simply and test 2 for shards were off because I had Destroy in the rotation(the duel wield replacement to hurricane). This caused berserk to not go off due to adrenaline issues, as destroy is high damage but also takes a long time, which decreases adrenaline gain, which resulted in less dps due to less berserks. Retested today(would of done earlier yesterday but had IRL stuff going on) Retested today, 650k > 662k. Making it better than Masterwork 2h, which I explained in video that I expected that to begin with. I think the masterwork 2h as a BiS weapon is to offer a much cheaper alternative to a physical zuk sword + shard of genesis. Sure it may not have the zuk sword's spec but specing from a physical zuk sword is always incorrect and useless since the spec wouldnt get extended by masterwork spear passive in that case. Thus for BiS setup you would need a zuk sword in eof AND a physical one + genesis shard for your 2h ability switch. The masterwork 2h offers a budget alternative to the latter. The only edge case that is so obscure even the most sweatest of pvmers wouldnt do is that the zuk sword is technically an obsidian weapon that can be boosted by the berserker necklace which gives it a 5% bonus that would beat the bonus stats that an eof offers. So switching to a zuk sword(tier 100) + berserker necklace for your 2h abilities is technically optimal damage potential but that is extremely intensive gameplay. If they made berserker necklace into an enchantment to buff the zuk sword, the zuk sword(tier 100) would absolutely be BiS over the masterwork 2h with the same APM.
Love the depth and detail you took to showcase a new weapon and older bis weapons. Definitely made up my mind to make it now. I was very skeptical at first because of the no ability
it might be good for budget before scythe but if ur really using melee, due to cooldowns and rotating between zerk/zgs and bleed rotations using the other alternatives are just better in situations in and outside of bossing someone might say even getting around it just do hybridding with other styles as to get around some cooldowns

I have question. Have you upgraded the zuk sword and other t95 weapons you tested to t100 shard of Genesis, or did u just test the t 95 vs masterwork sword.
nah defeats the point of the test, if you can already afford and upgrade a t95 to a t100 then masterwork sword isn't needed, as zuk sword that is t100 is just a better masterwork sword. I Don't currently melee enough to justify spending the gp atm.

I'd be curious on scourge+T85 leng offhand vs MW 2h sword as this combo is about half the price of nox scythe/mw 2h sword and applies true damage via parasite that doesn't get nerfed by accuracy issues while also benefiting from primordial stack generation which you could just eof the T85 mainhand leng to use.

scourge has a passive stacking bleed thats why they pulled ahead probably generally you wanna use dw melee and your 2hander is just a switch for cleave and meteor strike maybe cane depending on the situation so with manual input its a switch at best dont get me wrong its cheaper than buying a second ezk just for the switches and if strapped for cash it will do the job but if you unironically main it at group bosses you might get some weird comments ^^'
I'm disappointed they didn't do something like masterwork armor. If you custom-fit the set it won't lose charges in slayer/bossing. That ability alone makes it by far the cheapest augmented armor set in the game in the front that it literally does not use charges. It makes the set very ideal for skillers who want to get into combat, as recurring costs is one of the biggest deal breakers for them. Unlike tryhards who can quickly kill bosses and use the drops to pay for their gear, skillers are way more likely to hit that fat L and lose hours of work and have nothing but repair costs to show for it. EDIT: I forgot about the set effect too which doesn't make the bosses any easier but makes failing a mechanic way more forgiving, which is another huge dealbreaker for non-PVM players getting into combat. You're still hitting that fat L because you have to leave the combat encounter, but at least you're not paying Death's really high reclaim costs. (I heard they've been toned down, though not sure by how much and besides any reclaim cost is going to hit harder if you're not getting drops to counter them. Worse players are inherently going to have to pay way more than experienced ones and I feel like that's probably where a lot of the elitism of the PVM community is coming from) The sword is just raw damage. I guess you could make the argument the lack of gimmicks makes it more approachable, but eeeh. It doesn't quite hit the mark of pushing someone whose beat the rest of the game to start trying out the combat like the armor does. I mean, the scythe has a really simple gimmick and a more forgiving one with its double range, feels more fitting for a starter weapon.
6:00 Quick revision you may want to know, the passive doesn't boost melee damage by 24%. Although it's a common misconception due to the way it's worded. When the passive procs, it adds a small hit of 24% of your ability damage each time you hit an enemy with a non-bleed hit. You can see this when you show the buff. Also, the lengs did rather poorly because the revo bar is not good. If you want a really consistent test, then have a fairly similar bar. I know you weren't going for a super rigorous test here, but if you were, then you'd want the exact same abilities used. Thats where lengs would likely outshine the rest. Scourge will always be supreme because its 40k dpm for free. Or if the test was supposed to be tailoring bars for each wepaon set, then lengs would still outperform both ezk and scythe with a proper bar, but would also fall short of the mw2h and maybe even mws because theyre not revo friendly. The poeer they bring is in their spec which is like a free overpower twice a minute.

Which results in fewer basics used, therfore less adrenaline, so it won't build up to zerk as often, and thats where it absolutely crippled the dpm. Like as counter intuitive as it may seem, if destroy wasn't on the bar, it would probably do more damage. If you go and review your footage, I'd wager the revolution barely used zerk at all for the lengs, but used it a few times for the 2h sessions. A similar situation for the scourge as with lengs, but since the scourge does damage ovwr time and the challenge barrel lasts a few minutes, you end up with much more damage due to this.

It's worth bothering because necro has an ultimate that has a cool down thats 90 seconds long while melee's berserk can be shorten to 45 with 2 full channels of flurry so you can berserk twice as often as you can living death

I main melee and i dont know why people dont use the abyssal scourge with the offhand leng. I actually had a conversation about this with someone and i offered them to a 1v1 and absolutely destroyed them i then said to check who does my damage on the combat dummies and he still lost😂😂. But u didnt use the lengs special ability for the test thats what is going to bring in the big damage use it with chaos roar and around 2 or 3 charges then u will get over 20k guaranteed with both hits
@undeadaeon9992 chaos roar causes the lengs ability to be doubled in damage making both of them hit 30k with around 2 or 3 stacks which is why I use that and it would only cost 10% adrenaline if u had 2 stacks and not 3 making my other abilities such as overpower usable
@@undeadaeon9992 because overpower hitcaps too hard with chaos roar. On average you gain more damage by using roar on hurricane than you do with overpower.

@necrolord1920 it didnt make it look better and because duel wield has to be changed because it cant use 2h abilities, it was taking what pvme had and switching order to see if it was an order thing, or in some cases, was just adding ability at the end to make sure it had an ability because the revo bars on pvme and wiki are not best for duel wield full revo. Things like greater flurry and such
Again jagex miss's the mark, It could have been the best melee weapon as far as a 2h than do rest of the lineup to sweeten the deal but naope jagex gotta screw it up.
Too easy to obtain to be the absolute best weapon in game, but it is extremely solid. Not everything has to be BIS on release. It has a really solid spot for the transition right before BIS

Lengs have to use the special attack. If you cap at 10 stacks your not allowed to get the extra ability damage that comes from gaining a stack
