I designed this beautiful guest bedroom on a design budget of $1,500.00. I sourced the bed, the rug, all the sheets and the memory foam mattress on a small budget and I hope you love what I have chosen. In designing a guest room, I will show you what kind of linens you should get for your guests. In fact I have linked every item that is on the bed below from my Amazon storefront so you can also buy the exact Hotel Collection sheets, duvet cover, shams, duvet insert and pillows. I tried at least three different kinds of sheets and pillows until I found the perfect ones! I will also show you what kind of bed to always consider that is not just a head board and how to style the walls with art, and the credenza. I had a lot of fun picking incorporating some of my estate sale finds, along with some great decorative finds from West Elm. I hope you have fun watching this video and I wan to hear what your favorite item was from my guest bedroom!

Interesting how you said to keep the night stand lower or at the same level as the bed. Most designers will tell you it’s important to create different heights with items to draw the eyes all over and to the top and bottom of the room.

Thank you for the great economical exercise in style. The layer of elements worked so well. Hope you laugh, has there ever been something you can't unsee? Something in design you correlate with something else? Well, here goes: The lamp base for me, is an exact scale/shape of a roll of toilet paper. Now it could be this is 2020 and some aspects of this year just can't leave us. But no matter how hard I tried, those bed side tables, in this lesson on a budget, housed a roll of charmin. To your credit, I see do brand name 2 ply TP and not scratchy single ply generic. 🤣

What brand of blackout curtains do you recommend? It always seems like a sacrifice between function (blocking the light) or beauty.
I have my curtains custom made and we buy lining by the yard. It doesn't matter what brand it is, as long as it is a premium brand that is SOFT and malleable to the touch! Hope that helps.

Just found you and enjoying your videos! Beds - I agree on the skirt thing ! But then what does 1 do? Bed rails? What do you do with the box spring - base " mattress? How do you keep the 2 parts of the mattress from sliding around during um intimacy ? Maybe another video :)
Welcome aboard! Most beds that already have a full headboard and footboard only need a bunky board or nothing at all!

I have been reluctant to buy a mattress online, but after watching your video, I think I will get a memory foam mattress from Wayfair. Could you tell me how to figure out the thickness of the mattress ( 8 inch vs 12 inch) please? Thanks
Madhavi Naik Hi this is a very good question. Each bed is slightly different so if you bought the bed that is in the video I recommend an 8 inch mattress so that it does not protrude too high. Hope that helps and so grateful that you have subscribed ♥️
I love your formula tips! My challenges have been making pieces psychologically logical to the space. How do you find your perfect ratio? Do you have any mathematical formula to it? Such as how much color is right for what square space.

Nina Takesh sooooo I went to sherwin William and they don’t have the ability to make this because they don’t have some of the colorants. Maybe Benjamin Moore can make this? Also, are these ratios for a gallon, 5 gallon or sample size can? The paint store says they would need to know that. Please help!
