@@braskathroughthegames698 Which is also why they didn't show it all the way through. One cut for the jump and a blip of the landing, another for driving AFTER the jump.
@@Aragorn450 watch the making of video, goes into detail, he couldn't physically do the jump again because he didn't want to break his back
If you want speed try the Subaru doing the lap of The Isle of Man they had to restrict the car to 175mph incase it went airborne.

Travis always drives like he's in full-send mode without a care in the world. The look on his face throughout most of this video shows just how keenly aware he is that he's driving right on the ragged edge of imminent doom, and not backing down. It was so cool to see the behind-the-scenes of making this video in the last 2 episodes of season 8 of Subaru Launch Control. These videos are just so much fun, and I'm sure VSC had a blast building the baddest meanest STi ever. Travis was definitely the best choice to inherit the wheelman job for the Gymkhana videos; good choice, Ken!

Yes the car is amazing... but Travis’ skill is what’s REALLY being put on display here. Imagine all of the calculations he has to do in milliseconds, along with his body having to react exactly to what his brain is doing, to be this precise.

Honestly in a head to head, Travis would win IMO.
Ken, was never really good at racing, buuuuuut he was always good at marketing. He's gotten a lot better over the years, but I still wouldn't bet on him because he puts too much faith into his eyes, power and awd instead of skills, most of his crashes have been "stupid" ones.

I liked this dock slide better than the tire drop. Still one ups Ken, but looks more precise than just dropping a whole wheel. Both are sick tho 👍
Same, seems more clean and precise. But the tire drop was cool aswell
Yea it’s more precise, but the wheel drop adds to the sketchy/danger factor which adds to the hype as much as the precision does imo
"One ups Ken"??? I don't think so. Travis was on a dock with a 2 foot drop down to some water. Ken was on the edge of a cliff on Pikes Peak 1000's of feet up.

I watched "the making of" video and now got to see this. Travis looks worried/scared in some of those shots but I'm sure it's more just pure concentration. Glad to see the final product. Four days of filming was worth the 10 minutes of pure driving excitement!

That was so dope! Such a sick edit, too. Dude, when he hit that jump doing 150MPH, I definitely felt my cheeks clench. It's crazy to think that after all was said and done, Travis has to go back and drive those streets normally, and follow the traffic rules. I'm sure he'll never look at those roads the same, ever, again.

that was awesome, travis did a great job! I think I've just gotten used to ken being so comfortable and knowing he's not going to screw up but from the look and travis' face it made me scared for him, made it a real nail biter!
Watching this when it first came out last year was epic. The reactions from the inside cam for his face were worth the whole effect. That jump on the highway was huge. Like 8 feet off the road. Bigger than the sign that you have seen from the in-car view just as he takes off. Did not see much of the drift biker though in this or the other version I think. The jump over the harbor was insane.
Thanks for doing this and it was a cool take on the Gymkhana series.
The only way to get bigger is for the Hoon master himself to come and do both drivers at once. Also to see about bringing in The big rig of Size Matters and its driver for some of the best videos from top drivers and make one hell of a video.
